Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a magnetic tape cartridge, and in particular, in a magnetic tape cartridge in which a single reel wound with a magnetic tape is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case, the reel is in a rotation-restrained state when not in use. The present invention relates to the structure of the rotation stopping means.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a magnetic tape cartridge used as a recording medium used in an external storage device such as a computer is of a type in which a magnetic tape is wound around a single reel and the reel is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case. Things are known. This magnetic tape is used for data storage in computers, etc., and stores important information, so that troubles such as tape jamming do not occur and the magnetic tape is pulled carelessly when not in use, such as during storage. Reel rotation stopping means for restricting the rotation of the reel is provided so as not to be released.
[0003]
The reel rotation restraining means includes a restraining member that engages with a part of the reel and restrains its rotation, and when the cartridge is loaded in a drive such as an external storage device, the restraining member is driven to the drive side rotation driving means. The stop state is provided in accordance with the reel chucking operation.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Accordingly, in order to improve the reliability of the operation of the reel rotation restraining means described above and to prevent dust from entering the cartridge case, the reel rotation restraining means is provided with a restraining member that restrains the rotation of the reel, and this restraining member. It is conceivable to provide a structure that is separated into an urging member that urges in the restraining direction and a release member that moves in accordance with the chucking operation of the drive side rotational drive means and moves the restraining member in the releasing direction.
[0005]
In other words, in a non-use state, the restraining member restrains the reel from inadvertently rotating so that the magnetic tape is not pulled out. When chucking is performed, the release member moves in conjunction with the operation, and the stop member is released. In this state, the reel can rotate, and the magnetic tape can be pulled out and taken up.
[0006]
In the mechanism as described above, the pressing position for releasing movement of the releasing member accompanying the chucking operation by the drive side rotation driving means is more stable at a plurality of positions on the outer peripheral portion than at a single central portion. However, as the biasing position of the biasing member such as a coil spring is in the vicinity of the central portion, the bending of the releasing member increases and the releasing operation increases. May be disturbed.
[0007]
In particular, the installation space for the reel rotation restraining means in the cartridge case is narrow, and in order to secure the amount of deformation of the biasing member and the amount of movement of the restraining member and the releasing member, the thickness of the releasing member is reduced to reduce the aforementioned bending. There is a possibility that the deformation becomes large and the movement of the release member is obstructed, or the release movement amount of the stop member by the release member is insufficient, so that it is impossible to reliably release the stop state of the reel.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a magnetic tape cartridge capable of performing a reliable release operation by suppressing the bending deformation of the release member of the reel rotation stopping means.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The magnetic tape cartridge of the present invention that has solved the above-described problem is a single reel on which a magnetic tape is wound is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case, the reel is allowed to rotate when in use, and the reel is not used when not in use. The reel rotation restraining means includes a restraining member that moves so as to come into contact with and separate from the reel and restrains the rotation of the reel, and the restraining member in the restraining direction. A biasing member that biases, and a release member that rotates integrally with the reel and moves in accordance with a chucking operation of a drive-side rotational drive means to move the stop member in a release direction, and the release member It is formed by fiber reinforced resin such as long fiber reinforced resin or carbon fiber reinforced resin.
[0010]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention as described above, the release member of the reel rotation restraining means is formed of a fiber reinforced resin such as a long fiber reinforced resin or a carbon fiber reinforced resin, so that the rigidity of the release member is improved and its deformation is deformed. As the movement of the release member can be stably performed, the stop member can be reliably released by a predetermined amount of movement, and the operation reliability of the reel rotation stop means can be ensured. is there.
[0011]
Further, the release member made of fiber reinforced resin has good moldability, and is excellent in durability due to improved wear resistance, and can be manufactured at low cost.
[0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on embodiments shown in the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the magnetic tape cartridge in this embodiment when not in use, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the main part, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the main part in the used state.
[0013]
The magnetic tape cartridge 1 is a cartridge case in which a magnetic tape (not shown) is wound around a single reel 2, and an upper case 31 and a lower case 32 provided with an opening 32a at the center are fastened by screws or the like. 3, the reel 2 is accommodated in a rotatable manner. The magnetic tape cartridge 1 is provided with reel rotation restraining means 10 that allows the reel 2 to rotate when in use and restrains the rotation of the reel 2 when not in use.
[0014]
The reel 2 has a bottomed cylindrical reel hub 21 on which a magnetic tape is wound on the outer periphery, and a lower flange portion 22 and an upper flange portion 23 that project from the outer periphery of the upper and lower ends of the reel hub 21 in a disk shape in the radial direction. The reel hub 21 and the lower flange portion 22 are integrally formed of synthetic resin, and are joined to the upper flange portion 23 by, for example, ultrasonic welding. The lower part of the reel hub 21 is closed at the center by a bottom wall 21a, and a reel gear 24 for rotationally driving the reel 2 is formed in an annular shape on the outer periphery of the lower surface of the bottom wall 21a. A reel plate 25 made of an annular metal plate for suction is attached. The reel gear 24 and the reel plate 25 of the reel 2 are arranged so as to face the opening 32 a on the bottom surface of the cartridge case 3. The reel 2 is biased downward by a biasing member 5 described later.
[0015]
Further, the drive side rotation drive means 11 includes an annular drive gear 13 and a magnet (not shown) on the upper end surface of the rotation shaft 12, and its chucking operation is performed with respect to the loaded magnetic tape cartridge 1. 12, the drive gear 13 meshes with the reel gear 24, and the reel plate 25 is attracted by a magnet to maintain the meshed state.
[0016]
Next, the mechanism of the reel rotation stopping means 10 will be described. The reel rotation restraining means 10 includes a restraining member 4 that moves up and down so as to be able to contact and separate from the reel 2, a biasing member 5 that biases the restraining member 4 in the restraining direction, and the restraining member 4. And a release member 6 that moves in the release direction.
[0017]
In the bottom wall 21a of the reel 2, three insertion holes 26 penetrating the reel gear 24 in the vertical direction are arranged at equal intervals on the circumference, and further, the insertion is made on the upper surface of the bottom wall 21a. Three locking projections 27 are erected at equal intervals on the circumference at different phase positions from the hole 26, and the distal ends of the locking projections 27 are formed in a gear tooth shape. Note that three or more insertion holes 26 and locking protrusions 27 may be disposed, and the distal ends of the locking protrusions 27 may have a plurality of gear tooth shapes. The reel 2 shown in FIG. 2 is shown in a state where only the bottom wall 21a is cut away.
[0018]
The restraining member 4 has a substantially disc shape and is disposed in the reel hub 21 of the reel 2 so as to face the bottom wall 21a. A restraining gear 41 is formed in an annular shape on the outer periphery of the lower surface. 41 is engageable with the tip of the locking projection 27. In addition, a straight vertical wall-shaped protrusion 42 is formed on the upper surface of the restraining member 4 so as to extend upward, and the protrusion 42 is formed in a vertical direction in a guide portion 31 a erected on the inner surface of the upper case 31 of the cartridge case 3. The restraining member 4 is installed in a linear sliding groove extending in a manner such that the restraining member 4 is non-rotatably controlled so as to be movable toward and away from the bottom wall 21a of the reel 2 without rotating. The sliding grooves of the protrusion 42 and the guide portion 31a may be provided in a cross shape.
[0019]
Further, a biasing member 5 by a coil spring is mounted between the upper surface on the outer peripheral side of the protrusion 42 of the restraining member 4 and the inner surface of the outer peripheral side of the guide portion 31a of the upper case 31, and the restraining member 4 is moved downward. The stopping gear 41 and the locking projection 27 are biased in the stopping direction.
[0020]
The release member 6 is interposed between the restraining member 4 and the bottom wall 21a of the reel hub 21 so as to be vertically movable, and arm portions 62 extend in the radial direction at three locations on the outer periphery of the central disk portion 61. A rectangular bar-shaped push-up portion 63 is formed on the lower surface of the distal end of the arm portion 62 so as to extend in the vertical direction. Each push-up portion 63 is inserted into an insertion hole 26 opened in the reel hub 21 so as to be able to move in and out, and a tip thereof is positioned facing a tooth portion of the reel gear 24 on the lower surface of the reel hub 21. At that time, the locking protrusion 27 is positioned between the arm portions 62.
[0021]
At the lowest lowered position of the release member 6 (FIG. 1), the lower end surface of the push-up portion 63 is substantially the tooth tip position of the reel gear 24, and the drive gear 13 is engaged with the reel gear 24 by the chucking operation of the drive side rotational drive means 11. Accordingly, the release member 6 is pressed and pushed up by a predetermined stroke amount (FIG. 3). Further, the release member 6 rotates integrally with the reel 2 by fitting the push-up portion 63 into the insertion hole 26. The restraining member 4 is urged by the urging member 5 so that the lower surface of the restraining member 4 is in contact with the upper surface of the release member 6, and both come into sliding contact with the rotation of the reel 2.
[0022]
The release member 6 is formed of fiber reinforced resin such as long fiber reinforced resin or carbon fiber reinforced resin. This fiber reinforced resin can be PA (polyamide), POM (polyoxymethylene), PC (polycarbonate), ABS, PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) resin, etc., and glass fiber, carbon fiber, boron fiber, carbonized as reinforcing fiber. Silicon fiber, alumina fiber, aramid fiber or the like is used, and long fiber reinforced resin or carbon fiber reinforced resin with reinforcing fiber having a long fiber length is particularly suitable.
[0023]
The operation of the reel rotation restraining means 10 will be described. FIG. 1 shows a state in which the magnetic tape cartridge 1 is not used, such as a storage state. In this state, the restraining member 4 and the release member 6 are urged by the urging force of the urging member 5. The reel 2 has moved to the lower case 32 side of the cartridge case 3, and the opening 32 a at the center of the lower case 32 is closed by the reel 2. The release member 6 is in the lowest lowered state in which the lower surface is in contact with the upper surface of the bottom wall 21 a of the reel hub 21, and the push-up portion 63 protrudes so that the tip portion coincides with the tooth tip position of the reel gear 24. The restraining member 4 that is in contact with the upper surface is also in the lowered position, and the leading end portion of the latching protrusion 27 of the reel 2 is engaged with the restraining gear 41 to restrain the rotation of the reel 2 when not in use. To prevent withdrawal.
[0024]
On the other hand, when the cartridge of FIG. 3 in which the magnetic tape cartridge 1 is loaded in the drive is used, the rotation shaft 12 of the drive side rotation drive means 11 approaches the bottom surface of the reel 2, and the drive gear 13 is moved to the reel gear 24 by the chucking operation. When the reel 2 is moved slightly upward and held, the tooth tip of the drive gear 13 comes into contact with the tip of the push-up portion 63 of the release member 6 and presses and pushes it up. Accordingly, the release member 6 moves upward against the urging force of the urging member 5, and the stop member 4 also moves in the upward release direction together with the release member 6. As a result, the engagement between the restraining gear 41 and the locking projection 27 is released, and the reel 2 can be rotated. Then, the magnetic tape is pulled out or taken up by the drive of the recording / reproducing apparatus.

In the release state, the release member 6 is released when the push-up portion 63 at the tip of the arm portion 62 is pressed upward by the drive gear 13 while the urging force of the urging member 5 acts downward via the stop member 4. The bending deformation of the arm portion 62 of the member 6 is particularly likely to occur. However, since the release member 6 is formed of a fiber reinforced resin such as a long-fiber reinforced resin or a carbon fiber reinforced resin having high rigidity, the bending deformation is small. Thus, the pushing-up portion 63 does not come into contact with the insertion hole 26 and can move in and out linearly and stably, and the stopping member 4 is moved by the desired stroke amount to stop the stopping gear 41 and the locking projection 27. Can be reliably released. In particular, since the release member 6 secures a space for inserting the locking projection 27, the arm portion 62 is thinned, the thickness is reduced, the rigidity is lowered, and the shape is easily deformed and is improved. is doing.
