【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、感光性平版印刷版を搬送する搬送手段と、前記搬送手段により搬送されている前記感光性平版印刷版に現像液を供給して現像処理する現像処理槽と、を有する感光性平版印刷版処理装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
近年、感光性平版印刷版の処理時間を短縮することが望まれてきている。そして、感光性平版印刷版を搬送する搬送手段と、前記搬送手段により搬送されている前記感光性平版印刷版に現像液を供給して現像処理する現像処理槽と、を有する感光性平版印刷版処理装置で、搬送速度が1.5m/分程度で、現像処理時間が15秒程度の現像パス長が0.4m程度のものが知られている。そして、これは、現像処理時間が15秒程度と短いため、現像温度を上げて現像液の活性を上げて短い現像処理時間でも現像が完了するようにするものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、より現像処理時間を短くするために、現像液の温度を上げると、現像液からの蒸発が早まり現像液が濃縮され、現像液を貯留する槽などにスラッジが発生しやすくなる。そして、スラッジが発生してしまうと、発生したスラッジが、槽などに固着し急速に固くなったり、感光性平版印刷版に付着して印刷版をダメにしたりするなどの問題が起きる。また、各処理槽に貯留されている処理液、空気酸化により処理液が劣化しやすい。特に現像液は、劣化が急速に進み、現像感度が不安定になり、液寿命が短くなる。そのため、各処理槽を密閉構造にする方法もあるが、処理槽が大きくなりやすく、また、完全に密閉することは困難である。

そこで、現像液の劣化やスラッジの発生を抑制するために、現像液の交換や補充を頻繁に大量に行わなければならない。また、発生したスラッジなどを頻繁に洗浄しなければならない。

第一の発明の目的は、上記課題を解決するもので、現像処理時間の短縮を図りながら、現像液の劣化やスラッジの発生を抑制し、現像液の現像感度の安定化を図り、液寿命を長期化させることである。

第二の発明の目的は、現像液を廃棄することなく、現像処理槽を洗浄することが簡単にでき、また、現像液の交換や補充が簡単にできるようにすることである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の上記目的は、特許請求の範囲の各請求項に記載の発明を特定するための事項の全てにより達成される。以下、各請求項について説明する。但し引用項の説明と重複する事項は省略することがある。

本発明の感光性平版印刷版処理装置は、感光性平版印刷版を搬送する搬送手段と、前記搬送手段により搬送されている前記感光性平版印刷版に現像液を供給して現像処理して、前記現像液を底部に設けられた現像液用出口から回収する現像処理槽と、前記現像液を貯留する現像液貯留容器と、前記現像液貯留容器から現像液を前記現像処理槽に供給する現像液供給管と、前記現像処理槽の現像液出口から回収された現像液を前記現像液貯留容器に送ることと排出することとを選択できる現像液回収管と、を有することを特徴とする。
本発明の作用は以下の通りである。感光性平版印刷版を現像処理している間は、現像液貯留容器に貯留されている現像液を現像液供給管から現像処理槽に供給して、現像処理槽が、前記搬送手段により搬送されている前記感光性平版印刷版に現像液を供給して現像処理して、前記現像液を回収して、現像液回収管が前記現像処理槽で回収された現像液を前記現像液貯留容器に送ることで、感光性平版印刷版を現像処理することができる。また、現像処理槽の洗浄時は、現像液の大部分が現像液貯留容器に貯留されている状態で、現像液回収管が前記現像処理槽で回収された現像液や洗浄液を排出するようにすることで、洗浄のために汚れた現像液や洗浄液を排出することができ、簡単に現像処理槽を洗浄でき、かつ、現像液の大部分が現像液貯留容器に貯留されているので、大部分の現像液を再度利用することができる。また、現像液の交換は、現像液貯留容器ごと交換したり、現像液貯留容器から交換したりなどすることで、簡単にできる。また、現像液の補充は、現像液貯留容器に補充したり、現像液回収管が現像処理槽で補充された現像液を前記現像液貯留容器に送ったりするなどで、簡単にできる。また、現像液が、感光性平版印刷版の搬送路に開かれている現像処理槽ではなく、現像液貯留容器に貯留されているので、現像液貯留容器の開口を小さくすることで、現像液の蒸発を少なくでき、また、酸化による現像液の劣化を抑制でき、地震などで他の槽に現像液が混ざり込むことを防止できる。また、現像処理槽とは別に現像液貯留容器が設けられているので、現像処理槽と現像液貯留容器とは、その配置や構造に自由度が高く、省スペース化を図ることができる。

本実施形態の感光性平版印刷版処理装置は、感光性平版印刷版を現像処理する処理装置である。以下、本実施形態の感光性平版印刷版処理装置について、本実施形態の感光性平版印刷版処理装置の概略構成図である図1に基づいて、説明する。

本実施形態の感光性平版印刷版処理装置には、現像処理槽20と水洗処理槽30と後処理槽40とを収容する外枠60が設けられている。そして、外枠60は、直方体の天面がない形状の枠であり、この直方体の天面に該当する蓋50と共に内部を実質的に密閉するものである。そして、感光性平版印刷版処理装置の外枠60には、搬送手段により所定の搬送路19に沿って搬送されている感光性平版印刷版の搬送を邪魔しないように、感光性平版印刷版の入口68及び出口69が設けられている。また、外枠60の内側を現像処理槽20と水洗処理槽30と後処理槽40とに区切るために、区画壁62と区画壁63とが設けられている。そして、外枠60の内壁61と区画壁62とにより現像処理槽20が区画され、区画壁62と区画壁63とにより水洗処理槽30が区画され、区画壁63と外枠60の内壁64とにより後処理槽40が区画されている。
