この発明はパチンコ機やスロットマシンなどの遊技機に用いられる電飾装置およびその製造方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
パチンコ機にあっては、ほぼ方形のベニヤ板にて形成された遊技板の前面に光不透過性の意匠パターンを構成するデザイン図の印刷された光透過性の前面板を構成するセル板を接着し、このセル板上にストップランプ、賞球ランプ、入賞口、風車、ランプ風車、センタ役物、大入賞口、バンド飾りおよびサイドランプなど多種類の飾り物を配置して木ねじなどの釘で遊技板に取り付けてあり、これらの飾り物のうちで、遊技者の視覚に訴えてその遊技性を高める電飾効果を出す場合には、飾り物の裏側に電球または発光ダイオード(LED)などの光源を配置し、この光源に遊技板の裏面に取り付けた電気ユニットから電力を供給し、光源を点滅することによって、飾り物を所定色に発光表示している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
一般に、電球や発光ダイオードなどの光源は、例えば厚さ0.5ミリメートル、面積20平方ミリメートルなどのように、薄くて広い面積を有し、しかも動植物や乗り物などの意匠パターンを有する単体に構成するのはむずかしい。

このため、上記飾り物の内部に電球などの光源を配置する複雑な構造を取らなければならないうえ、飾り物がセル板の前面より前方に突出するので、遊技の面白さとしての遊技性に重要な役割を果たす遊技球の通り道の邪魔とならないように、電飾機能を有する飾り物を設置する必要から、電飾機能を有する飾り物の設置に制約が多く、電飾効果を向上するにも限度があった。

また、セル板の裏面に印刷された意匠パターンの複数の特定部分を点在配置的に鮮明な色彩で発光表示することで、上記電飾機能を有する飾り物による電飾効果の不足を補うことも考えられるけれども、意匠パターンの複数の特定部分に対応して遊技板に光源配置用の開口を形成することから、繰り返される遊技球からの衝撃で、セル板の前面が凸凹となる不都合があり、にわかに採用しがたいものである。

さらに、実開平4−50092号公報には遊技板の前面にエレクトロルミネッセンスプレートを敷設し、電気ユニットからエレクトロルミネッセンスプレートの透明電極および背面電極に電力を制御しつつ供給することによって、エレクトロルミネッセンスプレートの発光層を所定色に発光表示するようにした遊技機の電飾装置が開示されているが、これは高価なエレクトロルミネッセンスプレートを遊技板の前面全域に敷設する構造であることから、セル板の裏面に印刷された意匠パターンの複数の特定部分を点在配置的に鮮明な色彩で発光表示するものとはその基本的な構成が全く異なるばかりか、経済的に不利となり、にわかに採用しがたいものである。

そこで、この発明は、遊技球の道筋に支障を招くことなく、遊技球の接触する前面板の平面的な形状を保持しつつ、その前面板の裏面に印刷された意匠パターンの複数の特定部分を点在配置的に鮮明な色彩で発光表示することができる電飾装置およびその製造方法を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明に係る遊技機の電飾装置は、光透過性の前面板と、前面板の裏面に設けられた意匠パターンと、意匠パターンの裏面に設けられた意匠パネルと、意匠パネルの裏面に設けられた遊技板とを備えた遊技機の電飾装置であって、意匠パターンは点在配置される複数の表示部と複数の表示部を取り囲む遮光部とが前面板の裏面に互いに隣接して敷設されたことによって構成され、表示部は光透過性を有するデサイン化された透光意匠印刷により構成され、遮光部は表示部以外の部分としてデザイン化された遮光意匠印刷により構成され、意匠パネルは透明電極と発光層と絶縁層と背面電極とスペーサとを備え、透明電極と発光層と背面電極とがエレクトロルミネッセンスプレートを構成し、透明電極は表示部と遮光部とにわたり意匠パターンの裏面に形成され、発光層は表示部と対応し、絶縁層は遮光部と対応しかつ発光層に対する厚さ不足を補うように発光層と同一厚さに構成され、発光層と絶縁層とが透明電極の裏面に互いに隣接して形成され、背面電極は発光層の裏面に形成され、スペーサは背面電極に対する厚さ不足を補うように背面電極と同一厚さの絶縁材で構成されて絶縁層の裏面に形成され、背面電極とスペーサとが互いに隣接されたことを特徴としている。背面電極より引き出されるリード線が、互いに混線しないようにスペーサの中を通って意匠パネルの側方の一カ所に集まるように配線されてもよい

図1において、遊技板1はほぼ方形のベニヤ板に構成され、この遊技板1の前面には後述する積層体2を接着し、この積層体2上には図外の発射装置から発射された遊技球を遊技領域に誘導するバンド3を設置し、このバンド3内における遊技領域の中央部にはセンタ役物4、その周囲の遊技領域には上部左右のランプ風車5、下部左右の風車6、下部中央の始動口7、下部左右それぞれに位置する2個の入賞口8、下部中央の大入賞口9、最下部のアウト口10および全体に点在する多数の遊技釘11を配置して遊技板1に図外の木ねじなどの釘で取り付け、以て、遊技板1がパチンコ機のゲージ盤を構成し、この遊技板1の裏面には電気ユニット12を設置してある。

上記積層体2は、大まかには、図1に示す正面図では例えばセンタ役物4の真上中央部の一カ所と左右それぞれの三カ所との合計七カ所に点在配置された点線で示す複数の表示部2a,2b,2c,2d,2e,2f,2gと、それらの表示部以外の部分である遮光部2hとからなる後述するデザイン図で構成される意匠パターンを有し、2図に示す断面図では光透過性のセルロイドのような合成樹脂にて形成された前面板13、前面板13の裏面にシルク印刷などにて印刷された意匠パターン14、意匠パターン14の裏面に熱圧着または接着剤などで敷設された意匠パネル15から構成され、その意匠パネル15の裏面を遊技板1の前面に定着用紙16を介在させつつ図外の接着剤にて接着し、以て、積層体2が遊技板1の前面に定着用紙16を介して一体に結合してある。

意匠パネル15は光透過性樹脂の保護膜15aと合成樹脂の絶縁膜15bとでサンドイッチ状にラミネート処理されたエレクトロルミネッセンスプレート15cを備え、エレクトロルミネッセンスプレート15cは透明電極15dと背面電極15eとの間に複数の透光意匠印刷14aのそれぞれと対応して位置する発光層15fを有するとともに、発光層15fの外側に発光層15fと同一厚さで発光層15fの敷設に伴う厚さ不足を補う絶縁層15gを有し、さらに、背面電極15eの外側に背面電極15eと同一厚さで背面電極15eの敷設に伴う厚さ不足を補う絶縁材のスペーサ15hを有し、これらの透明電極15d、背面電極15e、発光層15f、絶縁層15gおよびスペーサ15hは上記保護膜15aおよび絶縁膜15bを含めて印刷製版技術により一体構成され、発光層15fは樹脂バインダ中に80〜90ウエイトパーセントの比率で蛍光体を分散し、透明電極15dと背面電極15eとの間に電圧を加えることによって、発光層15f中の蛍光体が所定色に発光し、その発光が透明電極15dを透過して発光表示する(日経BP社;NIKKEI MATERIALS&TECHNOLOGY;94.1(no.137参照)。

再び、図1に戻り説明すると、電気ユニット12は遊技制御装置12aおよび点滅駆動装置12bを備える。

遊技制御装置12aは予め設定されたプログラムにしたがって動作するマイクロコンピュータに構成され、点滅プログラム12cを有する一方、始動口7または遊技板1の裏面に設置された図外の入賞検知通路に設けた検知器から遊技球の始動口7への入りの検出信号を受け取ることにより、図外の内蔵された乱数を用いる停止図柄組み合わせ決定手段がセンタ役物4における3つの図柄の停止図柄の組み合わせを決定した後に、入賞信号をセンタ役物4に出力してセンタ役物4の3つの図柄をあたかも回転しているように可変表示し、その後予め定められた時間が経過すると、図柄停止信号をセンタ役物4に出力してセンタ役物4の3つの図柄を各行間に数秒程度の時間差を以て例えば左側の第1行から第3行目の方向に順に停止し、残りの行としての第3行目の図柄が停止する以前に、それまでに停止した第1行目および第2行目の図柄が二つづつ揃ったリーチ状態となるとリーチ信号を発生し、そして、第3行目の図柄が以前に停止した第1行目および第2行目の図柄と同じ図柄で停止することにより三つの同じ図柄が停止した大当たり状態となると大当たり信号を発生するとともに大入賞口9を予め設定された回数を以て開閉し、また、三つの停止した図柄が例えば「7」のような予め設定された特定図柄の場合は次回の遊技球の始動口7への入りに伴う遊技中における大当たり状態となる確率を高くする高確率信号を発生し、さらに、三つの停止した図柄が全部ばらばらの場合は外れ信号を発生する。

要するに、この実施例によれば、光透過性の前面板13の裏面に設けられる意匠パターン14を点在配置された複数の透光意匠印刷14aとそれ以外の遮光性意匠印刷14bとで構成し、この意匠パターン14の裏面に透光意匠印刷14aのそれぞれと対応するエレクトロルミネッセンスプレート15cを有する意匠パネル15を重ね合わせ、この意匠パネル15の裏面に遊技板1の前面を重ね合わせ、前面板13と意匠パネル15および遊技板1を一体に結合して、遊技板1の前面上にエレクトロルミネッセンスプレート15cによる電気的な発光部を点在配置し、この点在配置されたエレクトロルミネッセンスプレート15cを電気ユニット12により遊技状況に応じて点滅するようにしたので、前面板13の裏面に存在する意匠パターン14の複数の特定部分を点在配置的に鮮明な色彩で所定色にて浮き上がるように発光表示することができ、しかも、その発光表示は点滅プログラム12cを変更することで選択して設定することができ、また、意匠パネル15に使用する素材を適切に選定することにより、意匠パネル15の厚さを例えば0.5ミリメートル程度に作ることは容易であり、点在配置した電気的な発光部と対応して遊技板1に開口を形成する必要もないことから、遊技球の接触する前面板13の平面的な形状を遊技板1で確保することができ、以て、遊技球の道筋に支障を招くことはない。
