Description

【0001】

[0001]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to passenger conveyors such as escalators and electric roads.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, a passenger conveyor is installed in a building with a main frame composed of left and right side frames and horizontal members connecting these side frames, as disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 3-124692. The main frame supports a plurality of treads that are connected endlessly and travels reciprocally, a balustrade erected at positions corresponding to both sides of the treads, and a handrail that travels around the periphery of the balustrade.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The above prior art does not give any consideration to reducing the installation space of the passenger conveyor. For this reason, even if, for example, about 20 years have passed after installation, the passenger conveyor is removed and a new renewal is attempted, the same tread (width) The passenger conveyor of the size had to be installed.
[0004]
The objective of this invention is providing the passenger conveyor which can reduce installation space, especially the installation space of the width direction.
[0005]
Another object of the present invention is to provide a passenger conveyor that can be installed within the same installation dimensions and can be expanded in the width direction during removal and renewal.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention, in order to achieve the above object, relative to the forward of the handrail driving width of the balustrade peripheral side, as return of the handrail driving width of the main frame side is partially reduced, partially said handrail and changing the state inclination, the portion to the inclination state, was part of the handrail positioned in the step side of the longitudinal member.
[0007]
With the above configuration, the travel width of the handrail return path that has conventionally existed between the both sides of the width plate and the main frame can be greatly reduced, and as a result, the width dimension of the passenger conveyor can be reduced. be able to.
[0008]
The fact that the dimensions in the width direction of the passenger conveyor can be reduced means that if the installation dimensions are the same, there is a margin in the width direction. Yes, removal and renewal can contribute to the increase of passenger conveyor transportation capacity and increase in the space for movement.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with respect to an escalator shown in FIGS.
[0010]
The escalator 1 has a main frame 2 installed across the upper floor UF and the lower floor LF of the building. The main frame 2 includes left and right side frames 3 and lateral members 4 that connect the side frames 3. The side frame 3 has an upper chord member 5 extending in the longitudinal direction of the escalator 1, a lower chord member 6 positioned below the upper chord member 5, and a vertical member that connects the upper chord member 5 and the lower chord member 6. 7.
[0011]
The main frame 2 configured as described above has guide rails 8 for guiding a footboard, which will be described later, fixed to both inner side portions thereof. The step 9 includes a tread frame 10 and a tread 11 that is horizontally fixed to the tread frame 10, and includes a pair of front wheels 12 and rear wheels 13 that protrude from both ends of the tread frame 10 in the width direction. It has. These wheels roll on the guide rail 7 and travel so that the tread 11 can always be kept horizontal on the forward path side.
[0012]
Moreover, a balustrade 14 is erected on the upper part of the left and right side frames 3 via a fixture. The balustrade 14 includes, for example, a balustrade panel 15 made of a tempered glass panel, a handrail frame 16 fixed to the periphery of the balustrade panel 15, and an endless handrail 17 guided so that the handrail frame 16 can travel. The base of the balustrade panel 15 is covered with an inner deck cover 18 and an outer deck cover 19. A skirt guard 20 that divides the inside of the inner deck cover 18 and the outer deck cover 19 and the end of the step 9 extends vertically from the lower portion of the inner deck cover 18. The handrail 17 changes direction on one side of both ends in the longitudinal direction of the balustrade 14 and enters inside the inner deck cover 18 and the outer deck cover 19, and on the other side of both ends in the longitudinal direction of the balustrade 14 The vehicle travels on the upper side of the cover 18 and the outer deck cover 19 as an outward path, and travels on the lower side of the inner deck cover 18 and the outer deck cover 19 as a return path.
[0013]
The step 9 has the shaft of the front wheel 12 connected to a step chain 21, and the step chain 21 is wound around a drive sprocket 22 that is supported in the upper machine chamber of the main frame 2. The drive sprocket 22 is installed in the vicinity and the rotational force is transmitted by the drive machine 24.
[0014]
In the escalator 1 of the above mechanism, the travel width Wb of the return path on the main frame 2 side is made smaller or entirely smaller than the travel width Wa (FIG. 1) of the handrail 17 on the peripheral side of the balustrade 14 ( Each travel width is changed so that Wa> Wb).
[0015]
More specifically, on the forward side of the handrail 17, the wide upper surface of the handrail 17 travels in a horizontal state in parallel with the step 11, and on the return side of the handrail 17, the handrail 17 is inclined to a state closer to vertical than horizontal. The traveling width is set such that each traveling width is smaller in the return path (width Wb) than in the forward path (width Wa). In this case, the change of the handrail 17 from the horizontal state to the tilted state is caused by engaging with the inner periphery of the handrail 17 that is also fixedly mounted on the vertical member 7 and also has a substantially C-shaped cross section. The travel of the handrail 17 is guided by the orientation of the guide frame 26 having a function similar to that of a part of the handrail frame 16 (guide portion). That is, the handrail 17 is configured to obtain a horizontal traveling width Wa when the guide frame 26 is placed in a horizontal state, and a traveling width Wb when the guide frame 26 is placed in an inclined state, as shown in FIG. It is possible to make the return path of the handrail 17 as a whole travel width Wb. For example, a drive device portion of the handrail 17 or a portion having a space margin between the step 9 and the main frame 3 is horizontal. In the state (traveling width Wa), as shown in FIG. 1, the portion where the notch 7A must be provided in order to obtain the traveling space of the handrail 17 by approaching the vertical member 7 is partially inclined (traveling width Wb ), It is also possible to avoid the notch 7A. Here, the handrail 17 in the tilted state is a so-called maintenance work in which an opening having a substantially C-shaped cross section faces the main frame 2 as shown in FIG. 1 and is removed from the guide frame 26 or attached to the guide frame 26. Sometimes it is convenient to be able to cope with the work space on the step 9 side.
[0016]
As described above, according to the embodiment of the present invention, since the substantial traveling width of the handrail 17 on the return path can be reduced, the distance between the step 9 and the main frame 2 can be reduced, and the cost due to the need for notching the vertical member 7 can be reduced. Increase and decrease in strength are also eliminated. It is also effective for securing maintenance work space.
[0017]
Thereby, if the width | variety of the step 9 is the same as the past, the installation width | variety of the escalator 1 can be reduced.
[0018]
After installation, for example, an escalator that has been around for 20 years has been designed with a sufficient margin in its internal mechanism. In this case, a renewal escalator having a step width of 1200 mm can be installed, and the transportation capacity can be improved and the moving space can be expanded.
[0019]
Although the said embodiment demonstrated the escalator as an example as a passenger conveyor, it is needless to say that this invention is applicable also to the electric road which is the same as an escalator and does not have a big level | step difference between treads.
[0020]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the installation space, particularly the installation space in the width direction, and it is possible to obtain a passenger conveyor that can be installed within the same installation dimensions and can be expanded in the width direction during renewal.
[Brief description of the drawings]
