本発明は、ポストに関する発明である。

【従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来から、ポストは、図14及び図15に示すように、ダイカスト等の鋳造によって縦断面略逆U字板状の側面部材1を形成し、この側面部材1の底部に矩形板状の底面部材2を一体化して前後に開口した筒状胴体3を形成し、この筒状胴体3の前後の開口4,5にそれぞれ蓋体(前部蓋体6、後部蓋体7)を取付けて構成される。図8,9には、たとえば、前部蓋体6を筒状胴体3の前部開口4に固定すると共にこの前部蓋体6に投入口8を設け、後部蓋体7を筒状胴体3の後部開口5に固定すると共にこの後部蓋体7に開閉自在な取出し扉7aを設け、この取出し扉7aを開閉することで後部開口5を取出口9としたポストを示している。

この構成を有するポストは、側面部材1が鋳造品によって形成されていることから、鋳造品である側面部材1によりポストに強い剛性を持たせることができる反面、該鋳造品である側面部材1の製造コストがかかってしまうといった問題を有している。つまり、ポストには寸法等が異なる各種のポストがあり、近年では多品種のポストを少量ずつ製造するといった多品種少量生産が多く行われている。上述した側面部材1を鋳造品にて構成する場合には、種類に応じて金型が必要になるから、製造コストがかかってしまうのである。

なお、一般的に集合住宅などではプライバシー保護の観点からポストに南京錠などの錠を取り付けることが行われているが、この錠を引っ張ったりするとポストに引張り荷重がかかりポストが壊れてしまう恐れもあり、ポストにはある程度の強度が要求されているのである。

本発明は上記の点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的としては、多品種少量生産によっても製造コストの低減化が図られるポストを提供することを課題とし、また、他の目的としては、ポストに取り付けた南京錠等の錠を引っ張ったときにも損傷を軽微に済ますことのできるポストを提供することを課題とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するために本発明に係るポストは、平板状の金属板を折り曲げて縦断面略逆U字状にした側面部材1の底部に平面板状の底面部材2を取付けて前後に開口した筒状胴体3を形成し、この筒状胴体3の前後の開口4,5にそれぞれ取り付ける蓋体6,7のうち、少なくとも一方の蓋体に投入口8を設けると共に、少なくとも一方の蓋体をその下端部分に取り付けた蓋体側ヒンジ金具22と底面部材2に取り付けた胴体側ヒンジ金具20との軸着によって開口に開閉自在に設けてこの開口を取出口9にしたポストにおいて、筒状胴体3の前後の開口縁に金属板を板金加工してなる剛性補強用の開口枠10を設け、この開口枠10の一端を上記筒状胴体3の前後の開口の内周面に重ねた状態にしてシーミング加工をすることで、開口枠10と筒状胴体3とが幾重にも折り重なる厚肉部18を形成しつつ開口枠10を筒状胴体3の開口の全周に亙って固定し、開口枠10の全周に亙って突設した剛性補強用の補強リブ11におけるポストの下部に位置する部分を、その突出先端で折り返して2重に重ねて肉厚を厚くすることで、ポストの上部に位置する補強リブ11に比べて開口中心への突出量を小さく形成し、このポストの下部に位置する補強リブ11が内部に位置される補強リブ収納溝27を胴体側ヒンジ金具20に形成して胴体側ヒンジ金具20の一端を筒状胴体3の外方部分に位置させ、この筒状胴体3の外方部分に位置する胴体側ヒンジ金具20の部位に軸孔24を設け、この胴体側ヒンジ金具20の軸孔24と蓋体側ヒンジ金具22に設けた軸孔24とに軸心25を挿通させて、胴体側ヒンジ金具20と蓋体側ヒンジ金具22とを軸着することで、取出口9に設けた蓋体を筒状胴体3の開口よりも外側に配置したことを特徴とする。これによると、平面板状の金属板を左右方向に折り曲げる板金加工によって製造したものを側面部材1に用いたことから、多品種少量生産体制下では各種ポストに応じた型が必要とされた従来技術における鋳造品の側面部材1に比べて、製造コストの低減化を図ることができる。更に、この側面部材1を構成部材とする筒状胴体3の前後の開口縁部分に剛性補強用の開口枠10を設けたので、板金加工によって製造された側面部材1の欠点である低い剛性を上記剛性補強用の開口枠10によって補強して向上させることができる。したがって、多品種少量生産に対応して製造コストの低減化が図られると共に充分な剛性を備えたポストを提供できるのである。また、この厚肉部18と開口枠10の補強リブ11によって筒状胴体3の開口縁部分にはポストとして充分な剛性を備えることができる。また、ポストの下部に位置する部分の補強リブ11は、ポストの上部に位置する部分の補強リブ11に比べて、開口中心への突出量を小さくしているものの、突出先端で折り返しがされると共に2重に重ねるようにして肉厚を厚くするように形成されているから、剛性向上効果を図ることができる。また、ポストの下部に位置した補強リブ11は突出量を小さくして形成されていることから、補強リブ収納溝27の溝深さを小さくして胴体側ヒンジ金具20の小型化を図ることができる。

また、筒状胴体3における取出口9にしない開口を塞ぐための蓋体を、開口枠10の補強リブ11に固定したことも好ましい。これによると、開口枠10の剛性を高める補強リブ11によって蓋体が固定できることから、開口枠10の剛性向上と蓋体の固定構造の簡素化とを同時に図ることができる。

また、取出口9に設けた蓋体に投入口8を設けると共に、この投入口8の上部に庇片12を前方に突設し、蓋体の開閉用の取っ手13を上記庇片12で構成したことも好ましい。これによると、投入口8を設けた蓋体を筒状胴体3の取出口9に開閉自在にした場合に、投入口8への雨水の侵入を防止する庇片12を蓋体の開閉用の取っ手13として使用でき、つまり、庇片12と取っ手13とが兼用されたことで別々に庇片12及び取っ手13を設けないで済むものであり、ポストの構成の簡素化が図られる。

また、投入口8を設けた蓋体に、投入口8からポストの内部に侵入した雨水を受けて滴り落とす樋部材14を上記蓋体の内部に設け、上記樋部材14から滴り落ちた雨水をポストの外方に流す排水口15を設けたことも好ましい。これによると、投入口8からポスト内部に雨水が侵入しても、上記侵入した雨水は樋部材14を伝って排水口15からポスト外にすみやかに排水されるものであり、ポスト内に侵入した雨水がポスト内に溜まるといったことが回避される。

また、ポストの上部を構成する側面部材1の上面を覆う屋根部材16を被せて取付け、上記屋根部材16の端部を側面部材1よりも外方に突出させたことも好ましい。これによると、ポストに降りかかる雨水を屋根部材16で受けて、ポスト下方に滴り落とすことができ、ポスト内への雨水の侵入の防止に資することができる。

また、筒状胴体3の取出口9を開閉する蓋体の枢支側と反対の自由端には蓋体側錠取付材45をポスト外に突出するように取り付けると共に、筒状胴体3の開口枠10には胴体側錠取付材40をポスト外に突出するように取り付け、この蓋体が取出口9を閉じた状態で、蓋体側錠取付材45と胴体側錠取付材40とが重なり合うようにすると共に、蓋体側錠取付材45及び胴体側錠取付材40にそれぞれ設けた錠通し孔43,48を連通するようにしたことも好ましい。これによると、取出口9を閉じた状態の蓋体にあっては、蓋体側錠取付材45及び胴体側錠取付材40の連通状態の錠通し孔43,48に錠を通すことで、ポストに錠をつけることができる。そして、このポストにつけた錠Cを引っ張ったりして胴体側錠取付材40や蓋体側錠取付材45に大きな負荷がかかったときにも、胴体側錠取付材40は筒状胴体3の強度補強をする開口枠10に取り付けられているので、この負荷による筒状胴体3への変形等の損傷を軽微に抑えることができるのである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を添付図面に示す実施形態に基づいて説明する。

図1乃至図5に本発明の実施の形態の例を示す。このポストは、前後に開口した筒状胴体3で主体が構成され、この筒状胴体3の前部開口4に前部蓋体6を取付けると共に、該筒状胴体3の後部開口5に後部蓋体7を取付けて全体が構成されたポストであって、ここで、後部蓋体7は筒状胴体3の後部開口5を塞ぐように固定され、また、前部蓋体6にはポスト内に郵便物等を投入する投入口8を設けると共に、この前部蓋体6は筒状胴体3の前部開口4の縁部分に枢支されて該前部開口4を開け閉め自在にし、この前部開口4をポスト内に投入された郵便物等の取り出しに用いる取出口9とした、いわゆる前入れ前出しタイプのポストである。以下、詳述する。

ポストの主体を構成する筒状胴体3は、図5に示すように、縦断面略逆U字状の側面部材1と平面板状の底面部材2とから構成されたもので、この側面部材1の左右両端の下端部分でそれぞれフランジ部17を水平内方に折り曲げて形成し、このフランジ部17の上面を底面部材2の下面に当接すると共に、この当接したフランジ部17と底面部材2とをリベット等の固着具や溶接手段等で固着することで形成されるものである。つまりこの筒状胴体3は、側面部材1の下端部分に底面部材2を一体にして形成される前後に開口した筒状体である。ここで、この側面部材1は、金属板を左右方向に折り曲げする板金加工によって縦断面略逆U字板状に形成されている。この金属板の板金加工によって側面部材1を形成することによると、寸法等が異なる多品種のポストを生産する際には各種ポストに合わせて金属板の大きさを変えたり、板金加工における曲げ位置や曲げ具合等を調節すればよいことから、多品種少量生産に容易に対応させることが可能なのである。つまり、多品種少量生産体制下では各種ポストに応じて型が必要になっていた従来技術の鋳造品の側面部材1に比べて、本例の板金加工による側面部材1は、多品種少量生産下での製造コストの大幅な低減化を図ることができるのである。しかしながら、板金加工により形成された側面部材1は、従来の鋳造により形成された側面部材1に比べて、外力によってへこんだりするといった剛性の欠如という欠点を有する。したがって、本例の側面部材1を構成部材とする筒状胴体3では剛性の向上を図るため、この筒状胴体3の前後の開口縁部分にそれぞれ剛性補強用の開口枠10を設けているのである。

この剛性補強用の開口枠10は、筒状胴体3の開口4,5の内周縁の全周に亘るように固定され、この筒状胴体3の開口4,5の内周縁への固定部分から該開口中心方向に剛性補強用の補強リブ11を突設して構成されたリング状の枠体である。なお、本例の開口枠10は、平板帯状の金属板を材料とし、この金属板を板金加工することで上述した所定の形状に形成されるものである。この開口枠10の所定形状への形成は、開口枠10の筒状胴体3への固定と略同時に以下のように行われる。まず、平板帯状の開口枠10における一端の長辺部分を、筒状胴体3の開口の内周面の全周に沿わせて位置させる。次に、この開口枠10と筒状胴体3との重なり合う部位を、上記開口枠10と筒状胴体3とを重ねた状態で幾重にも折り曲げるシーミング加工によって固定する。更に、未だ加工が施されずに板状のままの開口枠10の他端の長辺部分を、筒状胴体3の開口の内方に折り曲げて剛性補強用の補強リブ11を形成させることで行われる。ここで、開口枠10の筒状胴体3への固定部分には、シーミング加工により開口枠10と筒状胴体3とが幾重にも折り重なる厚肉部18が形成される。この厚肉部18と開口枠10の補強リブ11によって筒状胴体3の開口縁部分にはポストとして充分な剛性が備えられるようになっている。

更に言うと、筒状胴体3の開口縁に亘って設けられる開口枠10の補強リブ11は、ポストの上部に位置する部分と下部に位置する部分では形状が異なるように形成されている。ポストの上部に位置する部分の補強リブ11は、ポストの下部に位置する部分の補強リブ11に比べて、開口中心への突出量が大きく形成されて剛性向上効果が図られている。また、ポストの下部に位置する部分の補強リブ11は、後述する胴体側ヒンジ金具20の装着を容易にするように、ポストの上部に位置する部分の補強リブ11に比べて、開口中心への突出量を小さくしているものの、突出先端で折り返しがされると共に2重に重ねるようにして肉厚を厚くするように形成されていて剛性向上効果が図られている。また、このように金属板を曲げ加工することで開口枠10を形成させることは、異なる大きさの筒状胴体3にも金属板の長さを合わせるだけで容易に対応して筒状胴体3に開口枠10を設けることができることから、この構造の開口枠10は多品種少量生産に対して有用なものと言える。

上記構成を有した筒状胴体3の前後の開口4,5にそれぞれ蓋体6,7が取付けられることで、函状のポストが形成される。なお、ポストには、郵便物を前部から投入してこの郵便物を前部から取出すタイプ(前入れ前出しタイプ)のものや、郵便物を前部から投入してこの郵便物を後部から取出すタイプ(前入れ後出しタイプ)のものがあるが、これは蓋体の種類やこの蓋体の筒状胴体3への取付状態(固定、回動自在)によって決定されるものである。本例のポストは上述したように前入れ前出しタイプのポストである。

前入れ前出しタイプの本例のポストは、筒状胴体3の前部開口4には前部蓋体6を開け閉め自在に枢支すると共にこの前部蓋体6に投入口8を設け、また、筒状胴体3の後部開口5には後部蓋体7を固定してある。詳述すると、後部蓋体7は、図4(b)に示すように、平面板状の部材であって、筒状胴体3の後部開口5の内面に沿うような外周形状に形成してあり、筒状胴体3の後部開口5を塞ぐように配置固定される。ここで、この後部蓋体7の両板面のうちポスト内を向く面を裏面とすると、筒状胴体3の後部開口5に配置した後部蓋体7は裏面の周縁部分が、筒状胴体3の後部開口5に設けた開口枠10の補強リブ11に当接し、この当接した後部蓋体7と補強リブ11とが複数個のビス19によりビス止めされることで、後部蓋体7の筒状胴体3の後部開口5への固定が行われる。なお、開口枠10の補強リブ11と後部蓋体7とは前後方向に重なる構造になっていることから、筒状胴体3の開口縁の内周形状よりも後部蓋体7の外周形状が多少小さく形成されても、後部蓋体7による後部開口5の閉塞を可能とする構造になっている。

また、前部蓋体6は、図4(a)に示すように、筒状胴体3の後部開口5の内面に沿うような外周形状に形成すると共に、その上部に水平且つ左右方向に長い矩形孔状の投入口8を設けて構成されたものである。そして、この前部蓋体6は、表面がポストの外側を向くと共に裏面がポストの内側を向くようにして筒状胴体3の前部開口4に配置され、筒状胴体3の前部開口4を開け閉め自在にしてこの前部開口4を取出口9にするように、筒状胴体3の前部開口4に回動自在に枢支されている。

この前部蓋体6の筒状胴体3の前部開口4への枢支構造は、図2に示すように、筒状胴体3の底面部材2の前端部分において左右方向の複数箇所に胴体側ヒンジ金具20をビス21を用いてそれぞれ取付けると共に、前部蓋体6の下端部分において左右方向の複数箇所に蓋体側ヒンジ金具22をビス23を用いてそれぞれ取付け、そしてこの胴体側ヒンジ金具20及び蓋体側ヒンジ金具22に設けた軸孔24に軸芯25を挿通することで、前部蓋体6が筒状胴体3に対して上下方向に回動自在に枢支されている。そして更に、この軸芯25にコイルバネ状のバネ26を巻き付け、このバネ26の始端及び終端を前部蓋体6及び筒状胴体3にそれぞれ引掛けて固定することで、上記バネ26の付勢によって前部蓋体6が上方に回動されて筒状胴体3の前部開口4を閉じる状態になるように構成されている。ここで、胴体側ヒンジ金具20には、筒状胴体3の開口に設けた開口枠10の補強リブ11を避ける補強リブ収納溝27が形成されている。上述したようにポストの下部に位置した補強リブ11は突出量を小さくして形成されていることから補強リブ収納溝27の溝深さを小さくして胴体側ヒンジ金具20の小型化が図られているのである。また、筒状胴体3の前部開口4の上部には、金属製の前部蓋体6に磁着するマグネットキャッチャー28が臨むように配置されており、上記マグネットキャッチャー28によって前部開口4を閉じた状態の前部蓋体6が保持されるようになっている。なお、このマグネットキャッチャー28は、筒状胴体3の前部開口4の上部に位置する補強リブ11に装着されている。

上述した前部蓋体6によると、筒状胴体3の前部開口4を開閉自在にし、この前部開口4をポスト内に投函された郵便物等が取り出される取出口9としているのであるが、使用者が前部蓋体6を下方に回動させて筒状胴体3の前部開口4を開けるには、該使用者は後述する投入口8への雨水の侵入を防止する庇片12を掴んで、バネの付勢に抗って前部蓋体6を下方に回動させることで行われる。このように庇片12を蓋体の開閉用の取っ手13として使用する、つまり庇片12と取っ手13とを兼用することで、別々に庇片12や取っ手13を設けないで済むものであり、ポストの構成の簡素化が図られているのである。

また、上記投入口8には雨水のポスト内への侵入を防止するいくつかの工夫が為されている。つまり、前部蓋体6の表面における投入口8の上縁には投入口8への雨水の降り込みを防止する庇片12が前方に突設され、また、投入口8の下縁には後方斜め上方に突設された水受け斜片30が形成され、更には、投入口8を開閉自在にするフラップ31が設けられている。ここで、このフラップ31は、前部蓋体6の裏面における投入口8の上部部分でヒンジ構造32により上下に回動自在に設けられ、上記ヒンジ構造32が備えるバネ33の付勢によってフラップ31が投入口8を閉じる状態になるように構成されている。つまり、フラップ31は、投函する郵便物によって押されることで上方に回動して投入口8を開け、それ以外のときにはバネ33の付勢によって投入口8を閉じた状態にさせるのである。なお、投入口8を閉じたフラップ31はその下端部分が水受け斜片30の突出先端部分に当接した状態になっている。

上記のように投入口8にはポスト内への雨水の侵入を防ぐ工夫がされているものの、フラップ31に雨水が当たってこのフラップ31に沿って上記雨水が流下した場合等には、当接するフラップ31と水受け斜片30との間からポスト内に雨水が侵入することもあり得る。この雨水のポスト内への侵入に対しても本例では対処が為されている。つまり、投入口8からポスト内に侵入した雨水を受けて滴り落とす樋部材14を前部蓋体6の裏面における投入口8の下部部分に備えると共に、この樋部材14から滴り落ちた雨水をポスト外に流す排水口15を樋部材14の下方に位置する前部蓋体6の下端部に設けている。この樋部材14は、水受け斜片30に当接したフラップ31よりも後方位置から前方位置に亘って配置される水受け部34を有し、この水受け部34で投入口8からポスト内に侵入した雨水を漏れなく受けるようにしてあり、また、上記水受け部34に連続して下方に伸びる流下部35を有し、上記水受け部34で受けた雨水を下方に滴り落とすようにして構成されている。また、排水口15は上記樋部材14の流下部35の直下位置に設けることが、すみやかな排水が期待されて好ましいものである。本例ではこの排水口15は前部蓋体6の下端部分に設けられているが、場合によっては筒状胴体3の底面部材2等に設けてもよい。このように、本例のポストは、たとえ投入口8からポスト内に雨水が侵入したとしても、上記侵入した雨水は樋部材14を伝って排水口15からポスト外にすみやかに排水されるようにしてあり、したがって、ポスト内に侵入した雨水がポスト内に溜まってしまうことは無く、ポスト内に投函された郵便物等の雨水による濡れなどを無くすることが図られているのである。

なお、上述した構成のポストの上部には、ポストに降りかかる雨水を受ける屋根部材16が被せて取付けられ、ポスト内への雨水の侵入の防止効果を高めている。つまり、この屋根部材16はその端部がポストの左右及び前後にそれぞれ突出するように設けられており、直接ポストに雨水が降りかかるのを防止しているのである。なお、側面部材1は金属平板を曲げるといった板金加工によって形成したものであって、側面部材1の折り曲げ部分には場合によっては加工痕が形成される恐れもあるが、この屋根部材16によって上記側面部材1の折り曲げ部分の上面を覆うようにすると、この屋根部材16で側面部材1の折り曲げ部分を目隠しでき、ポストの外観の向上を図ることができるのである。

図6及び図7には本発明の実施の形態の他例を示す。この例のポストは、郵便物を前部から投入してこの郵便物を後部から取出すタイプ(前入れ後出しタイプ)のポストである。すなわち、図5で示した筒状胴体3の前部開口4に前部蓋体6を固定すると共にこの前部蓋体6に投入口8を備え、また、筒状胴体3の後部開口5に後部蓋体7を回動自在に枢支して後部開口5を開け閉め自在にし、この後部開口5を取出口9としたものである。

前部蓋体6は、先の実施の形態の例と同様のものを用いており、この前部蓋体6を筒状胴体3の前部開口4に位置させたときには、裏面の後方に突設したボス部36を開口枠10の補強リブ11に当接し、このボス部36と補強リブ11とをビス19によって固定することで、前部蓋体6の筒状胴体3への固定が行われる。また、後部蓋体7は図7に示すようなものであり、先の実施の形態の例における前部蓋体6と筒状胴体3との枢支構造と同様にして、筒状胴体3の後部開口5に上下方向に回動自在に装着される。なお、筒状胴体3の外側に面する後部蓋体7の表面には、使用者が後部蓋体7を回動させるための取っ手13が取付けられている。

上述した構成の前入れ後出しタイプのポストにあっても、板金加工した金属板からなる側面部材1を有した筒状胴体3がポストの主体を構成していると共に、この筒状胴体3の前後の開口4,5にはそれぞれ開口枠10が設けられているので、先の実施の形態の例と同様に、ポストとして充分な剛性を備えることができると共に、従来技術のポストに比べて多品種少量生産における製造コストの低減化が図られているのは言うまでもない。

なお、上記実施の形態の例、他例における開口枠10は、筒状胴体3と別個の金属帯板状の開口枠10を筒状胴体3に取付けるようになっているが、本例の筒状胴体3を構成する底面部材2及び側面部材1はそれぞれ平板状の金属板を材料としていることから、たとえば、この筒状胴体3の開口縁部分を直接曲げ加工し、筒状胴体3に剛性を持たせるような開口枠状の構造に形成しても好ましいものである。
