マンホール構造物の修繕維持工法として、舗装版を円形カッターを回転させて切断し、マンホールの蓋の受枠の撤去交換を短時間で行う工法(特公昭63−55562号)がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
舗装版の切断時の低騒音化および迅速化、復旧した舗装版と旧舗装版の一体化を高めることが要求されてきている。引き抜き機は、騒音を発生しないが、舗装版を引き剥がすように撤去するため、切断面が断裂状で一様でなく、舗装版の復旧に手間取り、復旧舗装版と旧舗装版との一体化が十分でなく交通開放後に変形しやすいという問題があった。
