上記課題を解決するために、本発明の椅子における支持杆取付装置は、椅子における座面近傍であって、椅子の左右側における少なくともいずれか一方の前後の脚フレームにユニットが着脱自在に設けられ、該ユニットは合成樹脂により形成された中板と内板とで構成される上下方向に開口する差込穴を有し、該差込穴に上部にメモ台または肘掛け等を有する支持杆の少なくとも下部が嵌挿可能であり、前記支持杆の下部に設けられる係合部に差込穴内で係脱可能な係合爪を備えた移動体が前記ユニットの下方に突出していることを特徴としている。
