【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、上述した従来技術にあっては、芯を十分に繰り出すために、サイドノックボタンが軸筒の表面からかなり突出している。そのため、ポケットなどにこのシャープペンシルを差し込む際に、前記突出したサイドノックボタンがポケットの縁などに引掛かってしまい、いやな思いをしてしまうことがあった。また、差し込んだ状態においても、サイドノックボタンが不慮の動作によって押圧されてしまい、その結果、芯が繰り出され、ポケット内部を汚してしまったり、折損した芯がポケット内に落下し、これ又、ポケット内部を汚してしまっていた。

本発明は、軸筒の内部に芯繰り出し機構が配置され、また、軸筒の中間部にノック駒が配置されたサイドノック式シャープペンシルであって、前記軸筒のノック駒が位置する前方部、並びに、後方部を隆起せしめ大径部とすると共に、前記ノック駒の周縁部に凹陥部を形成し、また、前記前方部の大径部の表面と前記ノック駒の頂部とをほぼ同一な高さとすると共に、前記ノック駒を軸筒に対して垂直方向に押圧可能に配置し、さらに、前記凹陥部の前方、並びに、後方の壁面を円弧状に形成したことを要旨とする。

【実施例】
第1例を図1に示し説明する。軸筒1の後方部は、芯を複数本収納可能な断面が六角形状の芯タンク部2となっている。また、軸筒1の後端部には消しゴム3が着脱自在に圧入されており、更に、その消しゴム3を覆うようにキャップ4が着脱自在に嵌合している。そのキャップ4には、クリップ5が一体形成されているが、別部材で構成し互いを圧入などの手段によって固定しても良い。
一方、軸筒1の前方内側には、前記芯タンク部2からの芯を1本ごと分離する芯挿通孔6が形成された芯受け部7を有するスライド部材8が前後動可能に配置されており、そのスライド部材8の前端には、芯の把持・解放を行うチャック体9が固定されている。そのチャック体9の前方外周には、チャック体の開閉を行うチャックリング10が囲繞している。符号11は、軸筒1の前端に螺着などの手段によって着脱自在に固定された先部材であって、その先部材11の内部には、芯を軽く保持し、芯繰り出し操作の際芯の後退を阻止するゴム状弾性体からなる芯戻り止め部材12が圧入されているが、前記先部材11の内面に一体形成しても良い。符号13は、先部材11の先端に固定された芯保護管であるが、この部材も先部材11に一体成形などしても良い。

また、前記軸筒1の前方部外面は、その後部に比し大径部14となっている。具体的には、卵のような楕円形状をなしており、前記クリップ5が位置する方向の肉厚が厚くなっている。即ち、偏心した楕円状の大径部14は、軸筒1の後部に比し大径となっているが、内径は芯タンク部2とほぼ同一な形状(内径)をなしている。尚、芯タンク部2における外径は、円形状をなしているが(図4参照)、クリップ部5が位置する表面をフラットな面状に加工することによって、美観を向上させるなどしても良い。
前記大径部14には、窓孔15が形成されており、その窓孔15には前記スライド部材8を前進移動せしめるノック駒16が配置されている。そして、そのノック駒16の頂部17は、前記大径部14の外径表面とほぼ同一な高さとなっている。図示例のものにおいては、ノック駒16の頂部17が大径部14から若干突出(約0.5mm〜1.5mm)しているが、同等な高さとしても良く、或いは、若干凹んだ状態で位置させても良い。また、軸筒1の、前記ノック駒16の周縁部には凹陥部18が形成されており、ノック駒16の押圧操作性を向上させている。具体的に説明すると、凹陥部18はノック駒16の押圧ストローク分の深さを有しており、芯の繰り出し操作において十分な押圧ストロークを確保している。
尚、前記ノック駒16には、その断面がコ字型をしており、その両側面には傾斜面19が前後に形成されている。そして、その傾斜面19が前記スライド部材8の中間部に形成された傾斜面20に当接している。即ち、ノック駒16を軸筒1の長手方向に対して垂直方向に押圧すると、ノック駒16の傾斜面19がスライド部材8の傾斜面20を押圧し、これによってスライド部材8が前進し、芯が繰り出されるのである。
符号21は、前記大径部14の1部分を構成するゴム状弾性体からなるグリップ部材21であるが、このグリップ部材を使用せずに軸筒1にローレット加工を施すなどして把持した際の滑り止め性を向上させても良い。また、符号Sは、前記スライド部材8やチャック体9を後方に付勢するためのコイルスプリングなどの弾撥部材からなるチャックスプリングである。

また、軸筒の1部分を楕円形状にすることによって、クリップが付加されていないシャープペンシルであっても、机上面などにおいた際の転がりや落下などを防止することができると共に、ノック駒の位置が容易に確認し得るものとなっている。

第2例を図5に示し説明する。前記第1例では、軸筒1の前方に偏心した楕円形状の大径部14を形成したが、本例では、単に、円形状の大径部22としている。本例においても、大径部22の表面とノック駒16の頂部17との高さがほぼ同一なものとなっている(特に、図6参照)。他の構成は、前記第1例と同様なので、その説明を省略する。
本例において、大径部22や軸筒1の後部を円形状部としているので、射出成形などによって成形した場合における軸筒の微小な湾曲を極力防止することができるので、軸筒に印刷などを施した場合における部分的な印刷不良なども防ぐことができる。ちなみに、前記第1例においては、大径部14が偏心した楕円形状となっているため、各部位における収縮速度が異なってしまい、成形条件如何によっては僅かながらではあるが湾曲してしまう危険性を孕んでいる。

本発明は、軸筒の内部に芯繰り出し機構が配置され、また、軸筒の中間部にノック駒が配置されたサイドノック式シャープペンシルであって、前記軸筒のノック駒が位置する前方部、並びに、後方部を隆起せしめ大径部とすると共に、前記ノック駒の周縁部に凹陥部を形成し、また、前記前方部の大径部の表面と前記ノック駒の頂部とをほぼ同一な高さとすると共に、前記ノック駒を軸筒に対して垂直方向に押圧可能に配置し、さらに、前記凹陥部の前方、並びに、後方の壁面を円弧状に形成したので、スムーズにポケットなどに差し込むことができると共に、誤動作を防止することができる。
