Description

The present invention relates to the structure of the input/output section of a box through which electric wires, optical fiber cables, etc. are inserted.

Boxes for storing electrical equipment, electronic equipment, or communication equipment are provided with input/output sections for inserting cables such as electric wires or optical fiber cables. Conventionally, the cable input/output sections of such boxes were processed by sheet metal processing on-site, which was difficult to work with, and if cutting chips got into the box, there was a risk of a short circuit in the live section. In addition, after installation, post-processing such as sealing was performed after the cable was inserted to prevent water droplets and small animals such as insects from getting in.
On the other hand, in order to make such post-processing unnecessary, techniques such as those disclosed in Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2 have been proposed, in which a rubber plate is attached to cover the opening of the box, and a cross-shaped slit is formed only in the portion where the electric wire is to be inserted, and the electric wire is inserted through the slit to prevent gaps from being generated, and in Patent Document 2, a packing with a slit is fitted into the cutout to form the cable input/output portion.
Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 62-81409 JP 2004-15947 A

However, the technology of Patent Document 1 requires on-site slit formation processing, and the wire insertion portion formed by the slit cannot be completely closed, so that water droplets and the like can sometimes enter the box through the gap.
In addition, although the technology of Patent Document 2 does not require on-site hole processing, the cable is still inserted through a slit, so the occurrence of gaps cannot be prevented.
In view of the above problems, the present invention aims to provide an input/output structure for a box body that does not require on-site processing or post-treatment and prevents the intrusion of water droplets, insects, etc.

In order to solve the above problems, the invention described in claim 1 is characterized in that it comprises a composite sheet made by superimposing on a waterproof sheet which is waterproof and stretchable and has a plurality of holes for the input and output of cables such as electric wires, a water-absorbent sheet which is water-absorbent and has slits formed in the same positions as the holes, and the composite sheet is arranged so that the water-absorbent sheet is on the outside and covers the opening for the input and output of cables in the box.
With this configuration, when the cable is not inserted, the hole processing part maintains airtightness by the absorbent sheet with only a slit formed, and even if the cable is inserted into the hole, the cable insertion part can be maintained airtight by inserting it into the hole through the slit. Therefore, the hole can be processed in advance, and there is no need to process the hole at the construction site. In addition, it is possible to prevent insects and the like from getting into the box without sealing after the cable is inserted, and water droplets can be reliably absorbed by the absorbent sheet before they enter the box.

The invention of claim 2 is characterized in that, in the invention of claim 1, the multiple holes drilled in the waterproof sheet are made up of multiple different sizes of holes.
With this configuration, a hole can be selected according to the diameter of the cable to be inserted; if a hole with a diameter slightly smaller than the diameter of the cable is selected, the waterproof sheet will adhere closely to the cable due to its elasticity, and good airtightness can be obtained regardless of the thickness of the cable.

The invention of claim 3 is characterized in that in the invention of claim 1 or 2, the slits in the water-absorbent sheet are formed so as to intersect at least in a cross shape.
With this configuration, when the cable is inserted into the hole, the tip of the slit-processed portion of the absorbent sheet can easily fit between the hole and the cable, and if a gap occurs between the hole and the cable, the tip can fit into the gap and effectively close it.

According to the present invention, when the cable is not inserted, the hole processing part is kept airtight by the water-absorbing sheet, and even if the cable is inserted into the hole, the cable insertion part can be kept airtight by inserting the cable into the hole through the slit. Therefore, the hole can be processed in advance, and there is no need to process the hole at the construction site. In addition, after the cable is inserted, it is possible to prevent insects and the like from entering the box without performing post-processing such as sealing, and water droplets can be reliably absorbed by the water-absorbing sheet before they enter the box.

The following is a detailed description of an embodiment of the present invention, based on the drawings. Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of the main parts of a box showing the input/output structure of the box according to the present invention, in which 1 is the box body, 2 is a waterproof sheet, 3 is a water-absorbent sheet, and 4 is a fixing frame for attaching and fixing the sheet to the opening 1a of the box body 1.

The waterproof sheet 2 is formed by processing a waterproof and stretchable sheet, for example a rubber sheet, and is formed in a rectangular shape that matches the shape of the opening 1a of the box body 1. Two relatively large circular holes 6 (6a) are drilled in the center, and multiple small circular holes 6 (6b) are drilled in a grid pattern on the left and right sides of the sheet in the longitudinal direction, forming two types of holes 6.

The absorbent sheet 3 is made of a material that has excellent water absorption and transpiration properties, which allows absorbed water to evaporate easily, and is processed into the same shape as the waterproof sheet 2. Then, multiple cross-shaped slits 7 (7a, 7b) are cut into the sheet to match the holes 6 formed in the waterproof sheet 2. An example of a material with good water absorption and transpiration properties that can be used is Univex SB (registered trademark) manufactured by Unitika.

The waterproof sheet 2 and the water-absorbent sheet 3 thus formed are overlapped and glued together with the water-absorbent sheet 3 on the outside to form a composite sheet that covers the opening 1a of the box body 1, and the cable insertion portion is formed by overlapping the hole 6 and the slit 7.
The composite sheet is attached to the box body 1 by clamping it in a metal fixing frame 4 made to match the shape of the opening 1a, and screws (not shown) are inserted into screw insertion holes 8a provided in the fixing frame 4 and screw insertion holes 8b formed in the composite sheet so as to match these screw insertion holes 8a, and the composite sheet is attached by screwing it to the box body 1.

Figure 2 shows the state in which a cable has been inserted into the cable insertion portion of the composite sheet, i.e., the state in which the cable has been inserted into the hole 6 in the waterproof sheet 2 via the slit 7 in the water-absorbent sheet 3, where 9 indicates the cable and 10 indicates water droplets that have traveled along the cable 9.
When a hole 6 with a diameter slightly smaller than the diameter of the cable 9 is present, the cable 9 is inserted by selecting that hole. By doing so, the hole 6 in the waterproof sheet 2 is expanded in diameter and fits tightly around the cable 9, and no gap is generated in the cable insertion portion as shown in Figure 2. However, if there is no such hole, a hole 6 with a diameter approximately the same as or slightly larger than the cable diameter can be selected. In this case, when the cable 9 is inserted, the end of the slit 7 processed portion of the water absorbent sheet 3 fits into the gap between the hole 6 and the cable 9, thereby closing the gap.
The relatively large hole 6a can be used not only for inserting a thick cable but also for inserting a plurality of cables together.

In this way, when the cable is not inserted, the hole processing part is blocked by the absorbent sheet with only slit processing, so airtightness is maintained, and even if the cable is inserted into the hole, the cable insertion part can be maintained airtight by inserting it into the hole through the slit. Therefore, it is possible to prevent insects and the like from getting into the box without post-processing such as sealing after insertion, and since the absorbent sheet absorbs water droplets coming from the cable, water droplets do not get into the box. Also, there is no need to process holes at the construction site.
Furthermore, by providing the slits in a cross shape, when the cable is inserted into the hole, the tip of the slit-processed portion of the water-absorbent sheet can easily fit between the hole and the cable, and even if a gap is likely to form between the hole and the cable, the gap can be effectively blocked.

Figure 3 shows other shapes of holes 6 formed in the waterproof sheet 2. If the holes are elongated as shown in Figure 3(a) or elliptical as shown in Figure 3(b), they can be easily inserted without gaps even for electric wires with an elliptical cross section such as a VVF cable. Also, if the holes are roughly triangular as shown in Figure 3(c), they are preferable because they do not leave gaps when inserting a three-stranded cable such as a CV-T cable.

In the above embodiment, the holes 6 in the waterproof sheet 2 are of two different sizes, but holes of many different sizes may be provided, making it easier to select the best hole depending on the diameter of the cable to be inserted. The material of the waterproof sheet 2 does not have to be a rubber sheet, and any sheet that is waterproof and flexible, such as a vinyl sheet, can be used.
Furthermore, the material for the absorbent sheet 2 can be any material that has at least excellent water absorbency, and nonwoven fabric made of synthetic resin fibers can also be used.
Furthermore, the slits 7 provided in the water absorbent sheet 3 do not have to be cross-shaped, and the number of intersecting slits may be increased, for example, to form four intersecting slits. By increasing the number of intersecting slits, when multiple cables 9 are inserted through one hole 6, the gaps can be effectively blocked.
