Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a clip for detachably attaching a member to be attached such as a pillar garnish to an attachment plate such as a body panel in an automobile by using attachment holes formed through the front and back of the attachment plate.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, metal clips are often used for mounting this type of member. This clip is used as a set with a rib member formed so as to protrude from a surface of the mounted member (resin molded product) facing the mounting plate. The overall shape of the clip is U-shaped or V-shaped so that the rib member can be sandwiched and inserted into the mounting hole of the mounting plate. Inside the clip, there is a claw that is cut and raised so as to bite into the surface of the rib member when it is sandwiched, so that the engagement state between the clip and the rib member is maintained. By inserting the clip thus attached to the rib member into the attachment hole, the attachment member is attached to the attachment plate.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
When removing the attached member from the attachment plate, the clip is pulled out from the attachment hole together with the rib member by pulling the attached member strongly. As a result, the clip can be reused. However, if this attachment / detachment is repeated, the bite of the claw with respect to the rib member becomes unstable and the clip wobbles. As a result, abnormal noise is generated in the mounted state, or the clip is detached from the rib member, and there is a concern about reliability.
[0004]
The present invention is intended to solve the above-mentioned problems, and one object thereof is to maintain the reliability as a clip even if the attached member is repeatedly attached to and detached from the attachment plate.
Another object of the present invention is to eliminate the entry of dust and odors from the mounting holes of the mounting plate when the mounted member is mounted on the mounting plate.
Still another object of the present invention is to make it possible to absorb misalignment between the mounting hole and the rib member while performing the sealing function.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention is for achieving the above object, and the invention according to claim 1 is capable of attaching and detaching a predetermined member to be attached to the attachment plate by using attachment holes formed through the front and back surfaces of the attachment plate. A clip for mounting, and a rib formed to protrude from an opposing surface of a clip body that is held in a state assembled to a mounting plate by being inserted into the mounting hole, and a mounting plate in the mounted member It consists of members. The clip body has a receiving portion that can receive the insertion of the rib member, and an outer portion constituting the receiving portion is an insertion portion that is inserted into the mounting hole of the mounting plate. Engagement protrusions are formed on the inner side of the side wall that is flexible at the receiving portion. On the other hand, the rib member is formed with an engagement hole capable of holding the clip body and the rib member in an engaged state by engaging with the engagement protrusion. The engaging projection includes an insertion surface that guides the end of the rib member when the rib member is inserted into the receiving portion, and a removal surface that guides the edge of the engagement hole when the rib member is removed. Yes.
The clip main body further includes a stabilizer positioned at the proximal end portion of the insertion portion, and a seal portion projecting inward over the entire circumference at the same position as the engagement protrusion in the receiving portion. The stabilizer is configured to contact the surface of the mounting plate in a state where the mounting hole is closed when the insertion portion is inserted into the mounting hole, and the seal portion is configured to contact the entire outer surface of the rib member inserted into the receiving portion. ing.
[0006]
According to this configuration, when the member to be attached is removed from the attachment plate, the attachment member is pulled strongly, so that the edge of the engagement hole gets over the removal surface of the engagement projection, and the rib member is the receiving portion of the clip body. Extracted from. In other words, it is possible to remove the attached member without damaging the engaging protrusion and the engaging hole while leaving the clip body on the mounting plate side, and the reliability as a clip even if such attachment and detachment is repeated. Is maintained.
[0007]
Also, in the state in which the mounting member is attached to the attached plate taken, the gap between the mounting hole the insert in the stabilizer, the gap between the receiving join the club and the rib member closed individually sealing portions It is. Therefore, even when dust or smell may enter from the mounting hole of the mounting plate, such a situation can be solved by using the clip.
[0008]
The invention according to claim 2 is the clip according to claim 1 , wherein the clip main body is attached to the outside of the insertion portion by engaging the back surface of the attachment plate when the insertion portion is inserted into the attachment hole. There is a nail to be held in the assembled state, and the wall thickness constituting the periphery of the nail is thin.
Therefore, when the insertion portion is inserted into the mounting hole, the both claws easily pass through the mounting hole while bending the individual walls and engage the back surface of the mounting plate, thereby assembling the clip body to the body panel. be able to.
[0009]
The invention according to claim 3 is the clip according to claim 1 , wherein the shape of the receiving portion of the clip main body and the rib member of the attached member are approximately the same as long as the rib member can be inserted and removed. The dimension is set so that the mounting hole of the mounting plate and the insertion portion of the clip body can move in a direction to absorb the positional deviation between the mounting hole and the rib member of the mounted member.
Thus, as described above, it is possible to absorb the misalignment caused by the manufacturing error between the mounting hole and the rib member while preventing dust and smell from entering the mounting hole by using the clip as described above.
[0010]
A fourth aspect of the present invention is the clip according to the third aspect, wherein the inner periphery on the entrance side in the receiving portion of the clip body is a tapered surface.
In this case, even if the mounting hole and the rib member are misaligned as described above, after the insertion portion of the clip body is inserted into the mounting hole, the taper surface is inserted when the rib member is inserted into the receiving portion. The clip body is pushed and moved along the mounting hole, and the displacement is naturally absorbed.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below.
1 is a plan view of a clip embodying the present invention, FIG. 2 is a bottom view of the clip, FIG. 3 is a front view showing the clip in a partial cross section, and FIG. 4 is a side view showing the clip in a partial cross section. . The clip body 10 shown in these drawings is an integrally molded product made of a synthetic resin material, and includes a cylindrical insertion portion 12 having a rectangular planar shape and a receiving portion 20 configured therein as a basic structure. Yes. The insertion portion 12 forms an outline of the receiving portion 20 and is a portion that is inserted into an attachment hole 32 of a body panel 30 (attachment plate) described later. Moreover, the receiving part 20 is a part which receives insertion of the rib member 36 mentioned later. The rib member 36 is a member that is formed integrally with a resin molded product 34 (attached member) such as a pillar garnish attached to the body panel 30 and constitutes a clip together with the clip body 10.
[0012]
An outer surface on the distal end side (the upper end side in FIGS. 3 and 4) of the insertion portion 12 is a tapered surface 13 so that the insertion portion 12 can be easily inserted into the mounting hole 32. Further, claws 14 are provided on both side walls, which are long sides in the planar shape of the insertion portion 12, near the proximal end of the insertion portion 12. The wall 18 of the predetermined area | region which comprises the periphery of these nail | claws 14 has moderate elasticity (flexibility) by forming the wall thickness thinner than another part. Note that a dish-shaped stabilizer 16 that extends outward is located at the base end portion of the insertion portion 12, and this stabilizer 16 also has appropriate elasticity.
[0013]
The receiving portion 20 is open at both ends, and the planar shape thereof corresponds to the shape of the rib member 36. Engagement protrusions 22 are respectively provided on the inner sides of the side walls having the claws 14 at substantially intermediate positions on both ends of the receiving portion 20. The wall 24 in a predetermined region that forms the periphery of the engaging protrusions 22 is also provided with appropriate elasticity (flexibility) by forming its wall thickness thinner than other portions. Further, the inner periphery on the entrance side when the rib member 36 is inserted into the receiving portion 20 is a tapered surface 28.
[0014]
FIG. 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a part of FIG. As is apparent from this drawing, in the engaging protrusion 22, the insertion surface 22a on the side facing the entrance of the receiving portion 20 and the removal surface 22b on the opposite side are inclined at a predetermined angle. Further, the inner wall surface of the receiving portion 20 is provided with a seal portion 26 projecting inward at the same position as the engagement protrusion 22, and this seal portion 26 is the whole of the receiving portion 20 as shown in FIGS. It is continuous over the lap. However, since the projecting dimension of the seal portion 26 is smaller than the projecting dimension of the engaging projection 22 (FIG. 5), the seal portion 26 is cut off at the positions of both engaging projections 22. However, as will be described later, the seal portion 26 is not required at the position of the engagement protrusion 22, so that the seal portion 26 protrudes inward substantially over the entire circumference of the receiving portion 20.
[0015]
6 is a front view showing the use state of the clip, and FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view in the direction of arrows VII-VII in FIG. In the body panel 30 shown as the mounting plate in these drawings, a mounting hole 32 having a rectangular planar shape is formed through the front and back. When the planar shapes of the mounting hole 32 and the insertion portion 12 are compared, the short sides of the mounting hole 32 are almost the same size, but the long side of the mounting hole 32 is sufficiently longer (FIG. 6). . Further, the resin molded product 34 shown as the attached member in FIG. 7 includes a rib member 36 that is formed so as to protrude from the surface facing the body panel 30. As already described, the planar shapes of the rib member 36 and the receiving portion 20 are almost the same and have the same dimensions. The rib member 36 is formed with engagement holes 38 penetrating on both sides thereof. When the rib member 36 is inserted into the receiving portion 20, the both engagement protrusions 22 are formed from both sides with respect to the engagement hole 38. Engage.
[0016]
In order to attach the resin molded product 34 to the body panel 30 using the clip configured as described above, the insertion portion 12 of the clip main body 10 is first inserted into the mounting hole 32. As a result, both the claws 14 pass through the mounting holes 32 while bending the individual walls 18 and engage with the back surface of the body panel 30, and the clip body 10 is held in a state assembled to the body panel 30 ( FIG. 7). At this time, the stabilizer 16 is in contact with the surface of the body panel 30 while being elastically bent. As a result, the mounting hole 32 is closed on the surface side of the body panel 30.
In addition, the clip main body 10 in this state is movable within the range of the dimensional difference between the long sides of the insertion portion 12 and the attachment hole 32. However, even when the clip main body 10 moves most in this range, the mounting hole 32 is blocked by the stabilizer 16 (FIG. 6).
[0017]
Subsequently, when the rib member 36 of the resin molded product 34 is inserted into the receiving portion 20 of the clip main body 10, the leading end of the rib member 36 is guided by the both engaging projections 22 to the insertion surface 22 a so that the individual walls 24 are guided. Get over while bending. Therefore, when the rib member 36 is further inserted, the engagement protrusion 22 is engaged with the engagement hole 38 from both sides, and at this time, the seat portion 35 of the rib member 36 contacts the stabilizer 16 and the insertion position is changed. Be regulated. In this state, the seal portion 26 is in contact with the outer surface of the rib member 36 over the entire circumference except for the engagement hole 38.
[0018]
The clip main body 10 and the rib member 36 are held in an engaged state by the engagement between the engagement protrusion 22 and the engagement hole 38, and as a result, the resin molded product 34 is attached to the body panel 30. In this mounted state, the gap between the insertion portion 12 and the mounting hole 32 is closed by the stabilizer 16, and the gap between the receiving portion 20 and the rib member 36 is closed by a seal portion. Therefore, when there is a possibility that dust or odor may enter from the mounting hole 32, it is optimal to use this clip.
[0019]
When the body panel 30 has a plurality of mounting holes 32 and the resin molded product 34 also has a number of rib members 36 corresponding to the mounting holes 32, misalignment due to a pitch error or the like is likely to occur between them. . When the rib member 36 starts to be inserted into the receiving portion 20 as described above when there is this positional shift, the clip body 10 is connected to the insertion portion 12 as the tip of the rib member 36 comes into contact with the tapered surface 28. The displacement is absorbed by moving within the range of the dimensional difference between the mounting hole 32 and the mounting hole 32.
Depending on where the clip is used, the seal portion 26 may not be required. In that case, a dimensional difference for absorbing displacement is provided between the receiving portion 20 and the rib member 36, and the insertion portion 12 and the mounting hole 32 can be almost the same size.
[0020]
When removing the resin molded product 34 from the body panel 30, the resin molded product 34 is pulled strongly, so that the edge of the engagement hole 38 guides the engagement protrusion 22 to the removal surface 22b, and the individual wall. 24, the rib member 36 is pulled out from the receiving portion 20. Therefore, the resin molded product 34 can be removed with the clip body 10 left on the body panel 30 side, and the engagement protrusion 22 and the engagement hole 38 are hardly damaged even if such detachment is repeated. Reliability as a clip is maintained.
