Description
本発明は、膜濾過システムに関し、より詳細には、大気に開口するタンクまたはセル内に配置された多孔質または透過性の膜を用いる膜濾過システムに関する。
明細書を通して、従来技術の説明は、そのような技術が周知であるか、あるいは、当該技術分野において共通する一般的な知識の一部分を成すものであることを認めたとみなすべきではない。
本発明は、従来技術の1またはそれ以上の上述の問題を克服して、1またはそれ以上の上述の利点を供するか、あるいは簡単であって、コスト的に効率の良い方法でもって、多孔質膜に供するフィード体積を減少させることによって有用な代替方法を少なくとも供することを目的としている。
図面を参照して、我々の同時継続のPCT出願第(WO)00/62908号(相互に引用することによって本明細書に組み込まれている)に開示されるマニホールドおよび濾過システムに関して態様を説明するが、本発明は、同様な利点を必要とする他の形態の濾過システムに等しく適用できることが理解されよう。
第1の態様:濾過されるフィード液体に浸漬する複数の多孔質膜を有する多孔質膜濾過システムにおいて必要とされるフィード液体の体積を減少させる方法であって、その濾過されるフィード液体中に充填物要素を供する工程を含んで成る方法。
第2の態様:上記第1の態様において、液体が多孔質膜と接触して流れることを可能にしつつ、充填物要素によって、多孔質膜の間の空隙を実質的に充填する方法。
第3の態様:濾過されるフィード液体に浸漬する複数の多孔質膜を有する膜濾過システムであって、その濾過されるフィード液体の量を減少させるために、1またはそれ以上の充填部材が多孔質膜の間の空隙に供されている膜濾過システム。
第4の態様:上記第3の態様において、多孔質膜が、膜モジュールを構成すべく束状に配置された多孔質中空繊維膜である膜濾過システム。
第5の態様:上記第4の態様において、モジュールが、大気圧に解放しているタンクまたはセルに供された液体に浸漬される膜濾過システム。
第6の態様:上記第4または第5の態様において、モジュール間の空隙は、1または複数の充填部材によって少なくとも部分的に充填されている膜濾過システム。
第7の態様:上記第3の態様において、充填部材は、一体的なユニットを構成するために、相互に適合する複数の要素から各々構成される膜濾過システム。
第8の態様:上記第3の態様において、充填部材は、フィード液体に対して中立的な浮力を有する膜濾過システム。
第9の態様:上記第3の態様において、充填部材は球形状を有する膜濾過システム。
第10の態様:上記第8または第9の態様において、充填物要素は、中空であって、中立的な浮力が供されるべく、流体が満たされるようになっている膜濾過システム。
第11の態様:上記第4の態様において、充填部材は、中央要素およびサイド充填物セグメントを有して成る相補的セグメントから形成され、中央要素は、向い合う半円形状の断面を有する並行なチャンネルを2セット有し(チャンネルは中央要素の長手方向に延在する)、各々のチャンネルは、繊維束を収容し、その周りで接近して適合する大きさの直径を有しており、また、サイド充填物セグメントは、略T形状の断面を有し、中央要素と係合して充填部材を形成すべく、チャンネルと同様の直径を有する円を4分割したような形状の側部を有する膜濾過システム。
第12の態様:上記第11の態様において、各々の充填部材は、他方の充填部材の関連する係合手段と係合する相補的な係合構造を有する膜濾過システム。
第13の態様:上記第3の態様において、充填部材は、発泡プラスチック材料から形成されている膜濾過システム。
第14の態様:上記第3の態様において、充填部材は、吹込成形プラスチック材料から形成されている膜濾過システム。
第15の態様:上記第3の態様において、充填部材は、回転成形プラスチック材料から形成されている膜濾過システム。
Claims (12)
- 束状に配置された複数の多孔質中空繊維膜を有して成る膜濾過システムであって、
該束状の多孔質中空繊維膜はケージに包囲され、それによって、濾過されるフィード液体に浸漬される膜モジュールが形成されており、
該膜モジュール間の空隙には少なくとも1つの充填部材が少なくとも部分的に配置され、
該充填部材は、それが用いられなければフィード液体によって占められ得る空間を占めつつも、流体が膜モジュールへと流れるように、濾過される該フィード液体に浸漬され、
該充填部材は、一体的なユニットを構成するために、相互に適合する複数の要素から構成されており、
該複数の要素は、各膜モジュールの周囲にて該充填部材が分割されて成る2つ以上の要素であり、各膜モジュールの周囲を少なくとも部分的に包囲している、膜濾過システム。 - 膜モジュールは、大気圧に解放しているタンクまたはセル内の該フィード液体に浸漬される、請求項1に記載の膜濾過システム。
- 前記充填部材は、前記フィード液体に対して中立的な浮力を有する、請求項1に記載の膜濾過システム。
- 前記充填部材は、中空であって、前記中立的な浮力が供されるべく、流体が満たされるようになっている、請求項3に記載の膜濾過システム。
- 束状に配置された複数の多孔質中空繊維膜を有して成る膜濾過システムであって、
該束状の多孔質中空繊維膜はケージに包囲され、それによって、濾過されるフィード液体に浸漬される膜モジュールが形成されており、
該膜モジュール間の空隙には少なくとも1つの充填部材が少なくとも部分的に配置され、
該充填部材は、それが用いられなければフィード液体によって占められ得る空間を占めつつも、流体が膜モジュールへと流れるように、濾過される該フィード液体に浸漬され、また、前記充填部材が球形状を有することを特徴とする、膜濾過システム。 - 前記充填部材は、中空であって、前記フィード液体に対して中立的な浮力が供されるべく、流体が満たされるようになっている、請求項5に記載の膜濾過システム。
- 前記膜モジュールに気泡を供給する手段を更に有して成り、前記充填部材が、該膜モジュール内に該気泡を閉じ込めるように配置されている、請求項1に記載の膜濾過システム。
- 充填部材は、吹込成形プラスチック材料から形成されている、請求項1に記載の膜濾過システム。
- 充填部材は、回転成形プラスチック材料から形成されている、請求項1に記載の膜濾過システム。
- 複数の充填部材を有して成る、請求項1に記載の膜濾過システム。
- 複数の空隙を有して成る、請求項1に記載の膜濾過システム。
- 膜モジュールは上方のマニホールドと下方のマニホールドとの間で延在しており、また
前記充填部材が該上方および該下方のマニホールドから離隔しており、それによって、流体が該膜モジュールへと流れることができるようになっている、請求項1に記載の膜濾過システム。
