ワンタッチ水密継手に代えて袋ナット型水密継手を使用しても良い。
図3(a)に示すように、雌カプラー2fを、長手方向に固定された内筒2fと、内筒2fに対して長手方向に相対移動する外筒2fと、外筒2fを内筒2fに固定するネジ2fとを有するスライド式のカプラーとし、管部材3と第2部分2との接続部をスライド継手としても良い。
管部材3と第2部分2との接続部を袋ナット型水密継手にした場合でも、図3(b)に示すように、当該袋ナット型水密継手の雌カプラー2f’を、長方向に固定された内筒2f’と、内筒2f’に対して長手方向に相対移動する外筒2f’と、外筒2f’を内筒2f’に固定するネジ2f’とを有するスライド式のカプラーとし、管部材3と第2部分2との接続部をスライド継手としても良い。
管部材3と第1部分1との接続部をスライド継手としても良い。
スライド継手は、長手方向に固定された外筒と、外筒に対して長手方向に相対移動する内筒と、内筒を外筒に固定するネジとを備えるものであっても良い。
給水立管Cの分岐管C2と水道メータ設置ユニットAの第2部分2の設置位置との間の相対位置関係に多少のバラツキがあっても、スライド継手を使用することにより、第1部分1と第2部2とを管部材3で確実に接続することができる。
雌カプラーC3、1c、1d、2fを雄カプラーとし、雄カプラーD1、3a、3bを雌カプラーとしても良い。
