Description
車両1は、図1に示すように、エアバッグ装置10と、複数の加速度センサ21〜29と、複数の超音波センサ31〜39,41と、複数のバンパセンサ51〜58と、エアバッグECU60とを備えて構成される。エアバッグ装置10は、車両1の走行中において障害物等との衝突があった場合に、乗員を保護する乗員保護装置である。このエアバッグ装置10は、エアバッグECU60内に構成された駆動回路11により駆動される。駆動回路11は、後述する衝突判定部61による衝突の判定結果に基づいて、エアバッグ装置10のインフレータを点火させて、図示しないエアバッグを展開する回路である。
次に、上述した構成からなるエアバッグECU60の基本的な制御処理について説明する。車両1に衝撃が加えられ、複数の加速度センサ21〜29のうち少なくとも一つが衝撃を検出すると、エアバッグECU60に検出値Vgが入力される。これにより、エアバッグECU60は、図4に示すような処理を実行するプログラムを呼び出して、エアバッグ装置10の駆動や車両情報の記録などの制御処理を実行する。
以上詳述したことから明らかなように、本実施形態の車両情報記録装置を適用したエアバッグECU60によると、衝突判定部61は、車両1に対する物体の衝突の有無を判定する際に、加速度センサ21〜29の検出値Vgと、超音波センサ31〜39,41による検出値Vdとを用いる構成とした(S21,S22)。これにより、車両1に加わる衝撃が検出された場合に、重衝突または軽衝突なのか、または車両1の走行時の振動やノイズなのかを判別することが可能となる。
尚、本発明は上述した実施の形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の主旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の変更を施すことが可能であることはいうまでもない。例えば、上記実施形態においては、衝突判定部61は、検出された衝撃が軽衝突によるものかを判定する際に、S22において、接近に係る検出値Vdと、衝突データを記録するか否かの判断基準の一つである閾値Tdとを比較した。これに対して、衝突判定部61は、この検出値Vdを用いて車両1に対する物体の距離および近接速度の少なくとも一方を算出し、当該算出結果に基づいて衝突の有無を判定するようにしてもよい。例えば、複数の超音波センサ31〜39,41のうち隣り合う超音波センサの各検出値Vdから車両外装と物体までの距離を算出してもよい。また、衝突判定部61は、検出値Vdを用いて車両1に対する物体の接近速度(加速度を含む)を算出し、当該算出結果に基づいて車両と物体の衝突を判定、または予測するように制御処理を行うようにしてもよい。
Claims (4)
- 車両(1)に加わる衝撃を検出する衝撃センサ(21〜29)の検出値Vgと、前記車両に対する物体の接近を検出する近接センサ(31〜39,41)による検出値Vdとに基づいて、前記車両に対する前記物体の衝突の有無を判定する衝突判定部(61)と、
前記衝突判定部による判定結果に基づいて、前記衝突に係る衝突データを記録する情報管理部(62)と
を備える車両情報記録装置(60)であって、
前記車両には、複数の前記近接センサが設けられ、
前記衝突判定部は、前記物体の接近を検出した前記近接センサの設置位置に基づいて前記車両における前記物体の接近部位P1を割出し、
前記情報管理部は、前記衝突データに前記接近部位P1の位置情報を付加して記録することを特徴とする車両情報記録装置。 - 前記車両には、前記衝突の際に乗員を保護する乗員保護装置(10)が設けられ、
前記衝突判定部は、
前記衝撃センサによる検出値Vgが前記乗員保護装置を作動させる閾値Tg1未満の場合には、前記近接センサの検出値Vdに基づいて前記衝突の有無を判定し、
前記衝撃センサによる検出値Vgが前記閾値Tg1以上の場合には、前記近接センサの検出値Vdに関わらず前記衝突があったものと判定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両情報記録装置。 - 前記車両には、複数の前記衝撃センサが設けられ、
前記衝突判定部は、前記車両に加わる衝撃を検出した前記衝撃センサの設置位置に基づいて前記車両における衝撃部位P2を割出し、当該衝撃部位P2および前記接近部位P1に基づいて前記衝突の有無を判定することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の車両情報記録装置。 - 前記衝突判定部は、前記近接センサによる検出値Vdを用いて前記車両に対する前記物体の距離および接近速度の少なくとも一方を算出し、当該算出結果に基づいて前記衝突の有無を判定することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れか一項に記載の車両情報記録装置。
