Claims (28)
- 充電領域内に配置された少なくとも1つの充電可能デバイスを充電するよう構成される、少なくとも1つの送電アンテナを有する少なくとも1つのトランスミッタを備えるワイヤレス充電デバイスであって、
前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが、第1の時間間隔中に第1の充電可能デバイスを充電するための第1の電力モードおよび第2の時間間隔中に第2の充電可能デバイスを充電するための第2の電力モードのうちの1つで動作するように構成され、
前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが、前記少なくとも1つの送電アンテナと前記第1もしくは第2の充電可能デバイスの少なくとも1の受電アンテナの間の結合係数に従って、前記第1もしくは第2の電力モードで動作するように構成され、
前記第2の電力モードが前記第1の電力モードよりも小さい電力を有し、かつ、前記第1の電力モードよりも小さな結合係数を有し、
前記第1の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが密に結合したシステムを形成するとき、前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが前記第1の電力モードで動作するよう構成され、
前記第2の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが疎に結合したシステムを形成するとき、前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが前記第2の電力モードで動作するよう構成された、
ワイヤレス充電デバイス。 - 前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが、前記関連する充電領域内に配置された1つまたは複数の受電アンテナの装荷効果を検出するように構成される、請求項1に記載のワイヤレス充電デバイス。
- 前記検出した装荷効果、通信手段、および位置合わせ機構のうちの少なくとも1つに基づいて、前記1つまたは複数の受電アンテナとともに前記疎に結合したシステムが存在するのかまたは前記1つまたは複数の受電アンテナとともに前記密に結合したシステムが存在するのかを決定するように、前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが構成される、請求項2に記載のワイヤレス充電デバイス。
- 前記第1の充電可能デバイスの少なくとも1つの受電アンテナと前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタの前記少なくとも1つの送電アンテナの位置合わせが可能となるように構成される位置合わせ機構をさらに備え、前記位置合わせが、前記トランスミッタと前記第1の充電可能デバイスの間で前記密に結合したシステムを生成する、請求項1に記載のワイヤレス充電デバイス。
- 前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが、セルラ電話、ポータブルメディアプレーヤ、カメラ、ゲーム機、ナビゲーションデバイス、およびヘッドセットのうちの少なくとも1つをワイヤレス充電する、請求項1に記載のワイヤレス充電デバイス。
- 前記第1もしくは第2の充電可能デバイスのうちの少なくとも1つを配置するために構成される充電面をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のワイヤレス充電デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つの送電アンテナが前記充電面に近接して配置される、請求項6に記載のワイヤレス充電デバイス。
- 前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが、ドッキングステーション、充電トレイ、および充電パッドのうちの少なくとも1つを備える、請求項1に記載のワイヤレス充電デバイス。
- 充電領域内に配置された少なくとも1つの充電可能デバイスを充電するよう構成される、少なくとも1つの送電アンテナを有する少なくとも1つのトランスミッタを備えるワイヤレス充電デバイスにおける充電方法であって、
前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが、第1の時間間隔中に第1の充電可能デバイスを充電するための第1の電力モード、および、第2の時間間隔中に第2の充電可能デバイスを充電するための第2の電力モードのうちの1つで動作することを具備し、
前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが、前記少なくとも1つの送電アンテナと前記第1もしくは第2の充電可能デバイスの少なくとも1の受電アンテナの間の結合係数に従って、前記第1もしくは第2の電力モードで動作するように構成され、
前記第2の電力モードが前記第1の電力モードよりも小さい電力を有し、かつ、前記第1の電力モードよりも小さな結合係数を有し、
前記第1の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが密に結合したシステムを形成するとき、前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが前記第1の電力モードで動作するよう更に構成され、
前記第2の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが疎に結合したシステムを形成するとき、前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが前記第2の電力モードで動作するよう更に構成された、
充電方法。 - 前記第1の時間間隔中に前記第1の充電可能デバイスを充電するための前記第1の電力モードで動作することが、ラップトップコンピュータにワイヤレス電力を提供することを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の時間間隔中に前記第2の充電可能デバイスを充電するための前記第2の電力モードで動作することが、セルラ電話、ポータブルメディアプレーヤ、カメラ、ゲーム機、ナビゲーションデバイス、あるいはヘッドセットのうちの1つにワイヤレス電力を伝達することを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の電力モードで前記第1の充電可能デバイスにワイヤレス電力を提供することに先立って、前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが、前記第1の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが密に結合したシステムを含むことを決定することをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが密に結合したシステムを含むことを決定することが、前記ワイヤレス充電デバイス上の装荷効果を検出すること、前記第1の充電可能デバイスと前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスの間で通信すること、および前記第1の充電可能デバイスを前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスの位置合わせ機構を用いて検知することのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 第2の電力モードで前記第2の充電可能デバイスにワイヤレス電力を提供することに先立って、前記少なくとも1つのトランスミッタが、前記第2の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが疎に結合したシステムを含むことを決定することをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが疎に結合したシステムを含むことを決定することが、前記第2の充電可能デバイスと前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスとの間の装荷効果を検出すること、および前記第2の充電可能デバイスと前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスの間でデータを交換することのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の電力モードで前記第1の充電可能デバイスにワイヤレス電力を提供することに先立って、前記第1の充電可能デバイスの少なくとも1つの受電アンテナを前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスの少なくとも1つの送電アンテナと位置合わせすることをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記位置合わせすることが、前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスに結合された少なくとも1つの位置合わせ機構を用いて、前記第1の充電可能デバイスの前記少なくとも1つの受電アンテナを前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスの前記少なくとも1つの送電アンテナと位置合わせすることを含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の電力モードで動作することが、前記第1の電力モードより低い電力レベルで前記第2の充電可能デバイスにワイヤレス電力を伝達するステップを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 充電領域内に配置された少なくとも1つの充電可能デバイスを充電するよう構成される、少なくとも1つの送信手段を具備し、
前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が、第1の時間間隔中に第1の充電可能デバイスを充電するための第1の電力モードおよび第2の時間間隔中に第2の充電可能デバイスを充電するための第2の電力モードのうちの1つで動作するように構成され、
前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が、前記少なくとも1つの送信手段と前記第1もしくは第2の充電可能デバイスの少なくとも1の受電アンテナの間の結合係数に従って、前記第1もしくは第2の電力モードで動作するように構成され、
前記第2の電力モードが前記第1の電力モードよりも小さい電力を有し、かつ、前記第1の電力モードよりも小さな結合係数を有し、
前記第1の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが密に結合したシステムを形成するとき、前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が前記第1の電力モードで動作するよう構成され、
前記第2の充電可能デバイスおよび前記ワイヤレス充電デバイスが疎に結合したシステムを形成するとき、前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が前記第2の電力モードで動作するよう構成された、
装置。 - 前記第1の充電可能デバイスを充電するために前記第1の電力モードで動作するように構成された前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が、ラップトップコンピュータにワイヤレス電力を伝達する手段を備える、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の充電可能デバイスを充電するために前記第2の電力モードで動作するように構成された前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が、セルラ電話、ポータブルメディアプレーヤ、カメラ、ゲーム機、ナビゲーションデバイス、およびヘッドセットのうちの少なくとも1つにワイヤレス電力を伝達する手段を備える、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の電力モードで前記第1の充電可能デバイスにワイヤレス電力を伝達するステップに先立って、前記第1の充電可能デバイスおよび前記装置が密に結合したシステムを含むことを決定するように、前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が更に構成された、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の充電可能デバイスおよび前記装置が密に結合したシステムを含むことを決定するように構成された前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が、前記装置上の装荷効果を検出するための手段、前記第1の充電可能デバイスと前記装置の間で通信するための手段、および前記第1の充電可能デバイスを前記装置の位置合わせ機構を用いて検知するための手段のうちの少なくとも1つを備える、請求項22に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の電力モードで前記第2の充電可能デバイスにワイヤレス電力を伝達するステップに先立って、前記第2の充電可能デバイスおよび前記装置が疎に結合したシステムを含むことを決定するように、前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が更に構成された、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の充電可能デバイスおよび前記装置が疎に結合したシステムを含むことを決定するように構成された前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が、前記第2の充電可能デバイスと前記装置の間の装荷効果を検出するための手段、および前記第2の充電可能デバイスと前記装置の間でデータを交換するための手段のうちの少なくとも1つを備える、請求項24に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の電力モードで前記第1の充電可能デバイスにワイヤレス電力を伝達するステップに先立って、前記第1の充電可能デバイスの前記第1の受電アンテナを前記装置の前記少なくとも1つの送信手段と位置合わせするための手段をさらに備える、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 位置合わせするための手段が、前記装置に結合された少なくとも1つの位置合わせ機構を用いて、前記第1の充電可能デバイスの前記第1の受電アンテナを前記装置の前記少なくとも1つの送信手段と位置合わせするための手段を含む、請求項26に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の充電可能デバイスを充電するために前記第2の電力モードで動作するように構成された前記少なくとも1つの送信手段が、前記第1の電力モードより低い電力レベルで前記第2の充電可能デバイスにワイヤレス電力を伝達するための手段を備える、請求項19に記載の装置。
