Description
薬用モジュールは、針サブアセンブリ内で、第二の薬剤の容器又はリザーバを含み得る。
1.薬用針の近位端が主化合物と流体連通しているように、主注射デバイスの遠位端(例えば、主薬物化合物の3ミリリッターのカートリッジを収容するカートリッジ把持器のねじが切られたハブ)に薬用針モジュールを取り付ける。
2.主化合物の望みの用量の投与が準備されるように、主注射デバイスをダイアルアップし/設定する。
3.望みの注射部位内に薬用針の遠位端を挿入する。幾つかの設計において、薬用針の挿入は第二の化合物の送達をトリガーし得る。
4.用量ボタンの作動によって主化合物を投薬する。これは第二の化合物の自動的投与も引き起こす。
5.薬用針モジュールを取り外して処分する。
1.一旦、モジュールが使用されそして取り外されたら、主薬物送達デバイスへの薬用モジュールの再取り付けを物理的に防ぐこと。
2.使用された薬物投与インターフェースを、患者内へ挿入することを物理的に防ぐこと(例えば、使い捨て針−保護タイプの配置)。

Claims (16)
- 薬物送達デバイスに取り付け可能な薬用モジュールであって:
a.近位端及び遠位端を有するハウジング(27)であって、ここで近位端が薬物送達デバイス(7)に取り付けるように構成されたコネクター(8)を有する、該ハウジング(27);
b.薬剤(2)の少なくとも1回投与量を含むリザーバ(17、24、30);
c.ハウジング(27)の近位端におけるハブ内に固定された、又はハウジング(27)内部の保持キャップ(34)内に固定された第一の針(22);
d.ハウジング(27)の遠位端内に固定された第二の針(21);
を含んでなり、ここで
前記リザーバ(17、24、30)が、第一の針(22)と第二の針(21)との間に位置する、上記薬用モジュール。 - 請求項1に記載の薬用モジュールであって:
e.第二の針(21)と流体連通しているリザーバ(17、24、30)を画成するハウジング(27)内の凹部(17);
を更に含んでなる、上記薬用モジュール。 - 請求項1に記載の薬用モジュールであって:
e.第一の針(33)及び第二の針(31)と流体連通しているリザーバ(17、24、30)を画成する、ハウジング内、及び保持キャップ(34)の下方の凹部(17);を更に含んでなる、上記薬用モジュール。 - リザーバが、第一の針(33)及び第二の針(31)と流体係合するように構成された上部シール(32a)及び底部シール(32b)を有する、請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の薬用モジュール。
- リザーバ(17、24、30)が薬剤(2)の単回用量を含んでなる、請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の薬用モジュール。
- 少なくとも一つのマニホールドがリザーバ(17、30)中に位置付けられる、請求項1〜5の何れか1項に記載の薬用モジュール。
- 薬剤(2)の単回用量がマニホールド(20、20a)中に含まれる、請求項6に記載の薬用モジュール。
- 第二のマニホールド(20b)が、少なくとも一つのマニホールド(20、20a)を用いて重ねられた位置にある、請求項6又は7に記載の薬用モジュール。
- 保持キャップ(34)が、リザーバ(17、24、30)に係合している保持機構(35a、35b)を有する、請求項1〜8の何れか1項に記載の薬用モジュール。
- 薬用モジュール(4)が薬物送達デバイス(7)に取り付けられるとき、又は使用者による作動の際に、第一の針(33)及び第二の針(31)が、各々上部シール(32a)及び底部シール(32b)を穿孔する、請求項4に記載の薬用モジュール。
- 薬用モジュール(4)が薬物送達デバイス(7)に取り付けられるとき、保持キャップ(34)が薬用モジュール(4)に対して遠位方向に軸方向に動くように構成される、請求項1〜10の何れか1項に記載の薬用モジュール。
- 薬剤(1)が主リザーバ(11)からバイパス(36)を通って流れ、そして第二の針(31)を出ることを可能にするバイパス(36)を更に含んでなる、請求項1〜11の何れか1項に記載の薬用モジュール。
- 単回投与インターフェースを通して操作できる、二つ又はそれ以上の薬剤を送達するための薬物送達システムであって:
a.少なくとも一つの薬物作用物質を含む薬剤(1)の主リザーバ(11);
b.薬剤(1)の主リザーバ(11)に機能的に連結された用量ボタン(13);及び
c.請求項1〜12の何れか1項に記載の薬用モジュール(4)、ここで前記薬用モジュールのリザーバ(17、24、30)は、少なくとも一つの薬物作用物質を含んでなる薬剤(2)の二次リザーバ(17、24、30)を構成し、前記薬用モジュールの第二の針(21、31)は、単回投与インターフェースを形成し、そして薬剤(1)の主リザーバ(11)は、二次リザーバ(17、24、30)より近位側に位置するものとする;
を含んでなり、
ここで、用量ボタン(13)の単回作動が、主リザーバ(11)からの薬剤(1)及び二次リザーバ(17、24、30)からの薬剤を薬物投与インターフェースを通して排出させる、上記薬物送達システム。 - 二次リザーバ(17、24、30)が薬物作用物質の単回用量を含む、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも一つの主リザーバ(11)及び二次リザーバ(17、24、30)が液体薬剤(1、2)を含む、請求項13又は14に記載のシステム。
- 別々のリザーバから少なくとも二つの薬剤が投与されるように薬剤送達システムを作動する方法であって、
a.少なくとも一つの薬物作用物質を含む薬剤(1)の主リザーバ(11)に機能的に連結された用量ボタン(13)を含むデバイスハウジングを含んでなる、薬物送達デバイス(7)を備える工程;
及び
b.薬物送達デバイス(7)の遠位端に取り付けるように構成された少なくとも一つの請求項1記載の薬用モジュール(4)であって、前記薬用モジュールのリザーバ(17、24、30)が、第二の薬剤(2)を含む前記薬用モジュールを備える工程:
を組合せて含んでなり、
ここで、用量ボタン(13)の単回の動作により、主リザーバ(11)からの薬剤(1)及び第二の薬剤(2)が針(21、31)を通して排出される、上記方法。
