Description
本願明細書において説明されるように、センサターゲットが圧力作動バルブ部材に接続され、センサターゲットが圧力作動バルブ部材とともに移動することによって温度制御バルブの位置がモニタされる。センサは、センサターゲットの位置を追って、圧力作動バルブ部材の位置を表す位置信号を出力する。位置信号は、チャンバ内の圧力を調整するために利用される。このようにして、圧力作動バルブ部材の位置が中間位置に維持される。
工程220においてECU18は、位置センサ150から位置信号を受信する。その後、ECU18は、工程210において選択された最小値及び最大値と位置信号とを比較する。
他の例では、位置信号が最小値より大きい場合、工程250に続いて、圧力作動バルブ部材100を所望の位置に維持するように選択された中立値にバルブ操作パラメータを変えてもよい。
工程260でバルブオペレーションパラメータをデクリメントする目的は、距離Dを増加させることによって圧力作動バルブ部材100の位置が所望の範囲に入るまでチャンバ74内の圧力を減少させることである。そして、位置信号の大きさを上昇させる。用語「インクリメント」及び「デクリメント」は、制御されているバルブ操作パラメータと関連すると理解すべきである。いくつかの例において、バルブ操作パラメータをインクリメント及びデクリメントする役割。上記の方法200はほんの一例であり、圧力作動バルブ部材100の位置を調整して、位置信号に応じてそれを所望の位置に維持する他の制御方法を適用してもよい。
Claims (12)
- エンジン(12)用の自動車用冷却システム(11)における液体冷却剤(15)の流れを調整するシステムであって、
入口(42)及び出口(46)を有する弁体(40)と、
圧力作動バルブ部材(100)に隣接するチャンバ(74)内の液圧に応じて弁体(40)内で移動して、前記入口(42)から前記出口(46)への前記液体冷却剤(15)の流量を調整する前記圧力作動バルブ部材(100)と、
前記チャンバ(74)内の前記液圧を調整することにより前記圧力作動バルブ部材(100)を移動させる電動バルブ部材(130)と、
前記弁体(40)内に配置されるとともに前記圧力作動バルブ部材(100)に接続されて前記圧力作動バルブ部材(100)とともに移動するセンサターゲット(160)と、
前記弁体(40)の外に配置されて、位置センサ(150)への前記センサターゲット(160)の近接度に基づく位置信号を出力する前記位置センサ(150)と、
温度信号を出力する温度センサ(22)と、
前記エンジンのための目標温度を算出し、前記エンジンのための前記目標温度と前記温度信号とに基づいて目標冷却剤流量を算出し、前記目標冷却剤流量に基づいて前記位置信号の最小値と該最小値より大きな最大値とを決定し、前記位置信号が前記最大値より大きいか否か又は前記最小値より小さいか否かに基づいて前記電動バルブ部材(130)の動作を制御する電子制御ユニット(18)と、
を備えるシステム。 - 前記エンジン(12)のための前記目標温度が、外気温度、前記エンジン(12)の吸気の組成、前記エンジン(12)の排出ガスの組成、前記エンジン(12)の負荷量の少なくとも1つに基づく請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記弁体(40)により定まる弁座(48)と前記圧力作動バルブ部材(100)との間の距離に対応して前記位置信号が変化する請求項1又は2に記載のシステム。
- 前記センサターゲット(160)が前記チャンバ(74)内の磁石である請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記位置センサ(150)がホール効果センサである請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 前記圧力作動バルブ部材(100)の位置は全開位置と全閉位置との間の少なくとも1つの中間位置に維持することが可能であり、前記全開位置、前記全閉位置、又は前記少なくとも1つの中間位置のいずれか1つを目標位置として、前記電動バルブ部材(130)は前記位置信号に基づいて動作して前記圧力作動バルブ部材を前記目標位置に維持する請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記圧力作動バルブ部材(100)は、前記入口(42)から前記出口(46)への第1流路の制限の程度を変更することにより、前記入口(42)から前記出口(46)への前記液体冷却剤(15)の流量を調整する請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記電動バルブ部材(130)は、前記入口(42)から前記出口(46)への第2流路の制限の程度を変更することにより、前記チャンバ(74)内の液圧を調整し、
前記第2流路が前記チャンバ(74)を含む請求項7に記載のシステム。 - 前記電動バルブ部材(130)は、前記チャンバ(74)内の選択された液圧を維持するために、前記第2流路に沿って全開位置と全閉位置との間で移動可能な非比例バルブである請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記電動バルブ部材(130)は、前記チャンバ(74)内の選択された液圧を維持するために、前記第2流路に沿って全開位置と全閉位置との間の中間位置へ移動可能な比例バルブである請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記圧力作動バルブ部材(100)はダイヤフラムバルブである請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記電動バルブ部材(130)はソレノイドバルブである請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
