Claims (22)
- 1つ以上のプロセッサ、タッチ感知面、ディスプレイ、及び回転可能入力機構を有するポータブル電子デバイスにおいて、
メッセージエリア及びストローク入力エリアを含むユーザ入力インタフェースを前記ディスプレイに表示することと、
前記タッチ感知面の前記ストローク入力エリアで第1のストロークセットを受けることと、
前記第1のストロークセットに基づいて第1のテキストを決定することと、
前記ディスプレイの前記メッセージエリアに前記第1のテキストを表示することと、
前記第1のテキストに基づいて1つ以上の候補を決定することであって、前記1つ以上の候補は、前記第1のテキストに対する1つ以上の変更を含む、ことと、
前記1つ以上の候補を決定した後に、
前記ストローク入力エリアに候補を表示していない間に、前記回転可能入力機構を介してユーザ入力を受けることと、
前記ユーザ入力に応じて、
前記1つ以上の候補のうちの少なくとも1つを前記ストローク入力エリアに表示することと、
前記1つ以上の候補のうちの選択された候補を指示する選択インジケータを前記ストローク入力エリアに表示することと、
前記1つ以上の候補のうちの少なくとも1つ及び前記選択インジケータを表示した後に、前記第1のテキストの表示を前記選択された候補の表示に置換することと、
を含む方法。 - 前記1つ以上の候補を決定したことに応じて、前記1つ以上の候補が利用可能であることの指示を表示することを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 更に前記ユーザ入力を受けたことに応じて、前記ユーザ入力の特性が第1の基準を満たすかどうかを判定することと、
前記第1の基準を満たすとの判定に従って、前記1つ以上の候補に対応するグラフィックインタフェースの表示を終了することと、

- 前記1つ以上の候補は、前記第1のテキストに基づいて特定された絵文字を含む、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ以上の候補は、nグラムモデルを用いて決定される、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のストロークセットを受ける前に、前記ストローク入力エリアで第2のストロークセットを受けることと、
前記第2のストロークセットに基づいて第2のテキストを決定することと、
を更に含み、前記1つ以上の候補を決定することは、前記第2のテキストに更に基づく、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記第1のストロークセットのうちの少なくとも一部分を受けたことに応じて、前記第1のストロークセットのグラフィック表現を前記ストローク入力エリアに表示すること、
