Description

The present invention relates to a surface treatment method for surface treatment such as painting and plating at the time of manufacturing an automobile or the like, and a masking material used in the surface treatment method.

Many of the resin parts used in automobiles and the like are surface-treated such as painting and plating in order to improve the appearance. Some of the parts subjected to such surface treatment are formed as composite parts by combining a plurality of parts.
In the composite parts, when surface treatment is applied to the places where the parts come into contact with each other, if an external force such as vibration, sliding, or impact is applied to the places where the parts come into contact with each other, unpleasant noise such as rubbing noise or squeaking noise Abnormal noise may occur (for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2). The generation of abnormal noise at the place where such surface treatment is applied is also called the stick-slip phenomenon, and usually, as a method of suppressing the generation of abnormal noise, surface modification by fluorine coating or the like, attachment of non-woven fabric or the like, etc. Lubricating is used.

Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2011-0732331

However, if the above surface modification, non-woven fabric, or the like is applied, the number of steps increases in the assembly work of the composite part, and the assembly work becomes complicated and takes a long time, resulting in manufacturing cost. There was a problem that the price was soaring.
In addition, a method has also been considered in which the surface treatment that causes the generation of abnormal noise is not applied to places where the parts come into contact with each other. However, a slight gap is formed between the parts, and the part where the surface treatment is not applied can be seen from this gap, and the appearance quality is significantly deteriorated. Therefore, the above method is adopted. There was a problem that it could not be done.
The present invention has focused on such problems existing in the prior art. An object of the present invention is to provide a surface treatment method capable of suppressing the generation of abnormal noise by a simple operation without deteriorating the appearance quality.

As a means for solving the above-mentioned conventional problems, the invention of the surface treatment method according to claim 1 is a method of applying a surface treatment by painting or plating to each part of a composite part formed by combining a plurality of parts. As for the contact portion between the parts, each part is subjected to the surface treatment to provide a treatment area at the outer edge portion, and at least one of the parts is not treated without the surface treatment at the portion inside the treatment area. The gist is to provide an area.
The invention of claim 2 is the invention of the surface treatment method according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of parts between each other is provided with a parting portion consisting of the gap, the width length W P of該見cutting portion compared to, and gist of the width length W 1 from the outer edge of the contact portion is set to be longer (W 1> W P) that of the processing area.
In the invention according to claim 3, in the invention of the surface treatment method according to claim 2, the width length W 1 from the outer edge of the contact portion of the treatment region is set to 5 mm or less (5 mm ≧ W 1). ) Is the gist.
The invention according to claim 4 is a masking material used in the surface treatment method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, and is formed in a predetermined shape capable of covering the non-treated region. The gist is that.

[Action]
In the surface treatment method of the present invention, in each part of the composite part to be surface-treated by painting or plating, the contact portion between the parts is not subjected to the surface treatment and the treatment area to be subjected to the surface treatment. A non-processing area is provided. In the contact portion between the parts, the non-treated region is provided, so that the contact between the surface-treated portions can be avoided, so that the generation of abnormal noise can be suppressed. Since the non-treated region can be provided by a simple operation of not performing the surface treatment on the contact portion, it is possible to prevent the assembly work of the composite part from being complicated and taking a long time.
The treated area to which the surface treatment is applied is provided on the outer edge portion of the contact portion. The portion of the contact portion inside the treated region is defined as the non-treated region. Then, since the processed area can be seen from the parting portion between the parts and the non-processed area cannot be seen, deterioration of the appearance quality can be suppressed (claim 1).

Further, in the composite part, a parting portion formed of a gap may be provided between the parts in consideration of appearance and the like. Said processing region, the width dimension W 1 from the outer edge of the contact portion, by setting the length exceeds the width length W P of the parting portion (W 1> W P), the untreated from the parting portion It is possible to suppress the appearance of the region and preferably suppress the deterioration of the appearance quality (claim 2).
Further, in the processing region, the width length W 1 from the outer edge of the contact portion is set to 5 mm or less (5 mm ≧ W 1 ), thereby preferably reducing the contact between the surface-treated portions. Therefore, the generation of abnormal noise can be suitably suppressed (claim 3).

The masking material of the present invention is formed in a predetermined shape capable of covering the non-treated region. Therefore, the non-treated area can be easily provided by a simple operation of attaching the masking material to a predetermined portion of the component and performing the surface treatment (claim 4).

An embodiment embodying the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, the composite component 10 includes a base component 11 and a decorative component 12 as a plurality of components to be combined, and the decorative component 12 is assembled to the base component 11. It is composed of things.
The base component 11 is formed in a shape having a recess 13 on its surface (upper surface in FIG. 1). The decorative component 12 is formed in a shape and size that can be accommodated in the recess 13 of the base component 11, and is assembled to the base component 11 on the surface of the decorative component 12 (upper surface in FIG. 1). Is formed so as to be substantially flush with the surface of the base component 11.
In the composite component 10, a parting portion 14 formed of a gap is provided between the surface of the base component 11 which is substantially flush with the surface of the decorative component 12 and the surface of the decorative component 12 in order to improve the appearance. It is provided in.

A plurality of insertion holes 15 are formed in the inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13 of the base component 11 at the peripheral edge thereof so as to penetrate the base component 11 in the thickness direction. A plurality of pins 16 are provided on the back surface 12A (not shown in FIG. 1) of the decorative component 12 so as to correspond to the insertion holes 15 of the base component 11.
The pin 16 is formed in a shape and size that can be inserted into the insertion hole 15 of the base component 11, and is formed in a shape that opens outward as the central piece 16A approaches the back surface 12A of the decorative component 12.
At the time of assembling the decorative component 12 to the base component 11, the pin 16 of the decorative component 12 is inserted into the insertion hole 15 of the base component 11. The pin 16 inserted into the insertion hole 15 is prevented from coming off from the insertion hole 15 by engaging the central piece 16A with the back surface (not shown) of the base component 11 while passing through the insertion hole 15. To.

In the composite part 10, the base part 11 is surface-treated by painting, and the decorative part 12 is surface-treated by plating. In the composite component 10, the inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13 of the base component 11 and the back surface 12A of the decorative component 12 serve as contact portions between the base component 11 and the decorative component 12.
Specific examples of the base component 11 and the decorative component 12 include an automobile front grille and emblem, a back door panel or trunk hood panel and garnish, a side door panel and molding or garnish, a console panel and shift gate or console cover, and a meter panel. And metering, intelligent keys and button switches, etc. are exemplified.

As the base component 11 and the decorative component 12 constituting the composite component 10, both are surface-treated by painting, both are surface-treated by plating, or any of them, in order to improve the appearance. It is not particularly limited as long as only one of them is surface-treated by painting and only the other is surface-treated by plating. Further, the composite part 10 is not limited to a component consisting of only two parts, a base part 11 and a decorative part 12, and two or more decorative parts 12 can be assembled to the base part 11. It may consist of three or more parts.

As shown in FIG. 2A, in the contact portion, the back surface 12A of the decorative component 12 is subjected to surface treatment by plating over the entire surface of the back surface 12A.
As shown in FIG. 2B, in the contact portion, the inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13 of the base component 11 is subjected to surface treatment by painting only on the outer peripheral edge portion, so that the treated region 17 is viewed in a plan view. It is provided in a frame shape. Further, in the inner bottom surface 13A, the inner portion of the treated region 17 is provided with the non-treated region 18 because the surface treatment is not applied.
In the composite component 10, in the contact portion between the base component 11 and the decorative component 12, the inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13 of the base component 11 is treated with a surface-treated region 17 and a non-treated region 18 without surface treatment. And are provided. Since the non-treated region 18 in the contact portion has not been surface-treated, there is no coating film (hereinafter referred to as “coating film”). Therefore, in the non-treated region 18 of the contact portion, contact between the coating film by plating of the decorative component 12 (hereinafter referred to as “plating film”) and the coating film is prevented. As a result, the generation of unpleasant abnormal noise (stick-slip phenomenon) such as rubbing noise and squeaking noise due to external force such as vibration, sliding, and impact applied to the contact portion between the plating film and the coating film is suppressed.

As shown in FIG. 3, in the composite part 10, the parting portion 14 is provided between the outer peripheral surface of the decorative component 12 and the inner peripheral surface of the recess 13 of the base component 11, so that the parting portion 14 is provided. The inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13 can be seen from the outside through 14. In the inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13, a processing region 17 is provided on an outer peripheral edge portion that can be seen from the outside through the parting portion 14, and a coating film is present in the processing region 17. Therefore, on the inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13, the coating film of the processing region 17 can be seen from the outside through the parting portion 14. Therefore, the untreated region 18 that has not been surface-treated is not visible from the outside through the parting portion 14, and the deterioration of the appearance quality is suppressed.

Wherein the processing region 17, the width length W 1 from the outer edge of the inner bottom surface 13A of the concave portion 13 is a contact portion, an inner peripheral edge and the decorative component of the width dimension W P (the recess 13 in plan view of the parting unit 14 as is longer than the length) between the outer peripheral edge 12, i.e. the width length W 1, the lower limit value is set to exceed the width dimension W P (W 1> W P ). If the lower limit of the width length W 1 is excessively short, the non-processed region 18 is visible from the outside through the parting portion 14, and the appearance quality is deteriorated.
The upper limit of the width dimension W 1 is 5 times or less preferably the width dimension W P (5 × W P ≧ W 1), more preferably less than 3 times the width dimension W P (3 × W P ≧ W 1), more preferably set to be equal to or less than twice the width length W P (2 × W P ≧ W 1). Generally since the width dimension W P of the parting unit 14 is set to 1mm or less, specifically a width length W 1 is preferably 5mm or less (5mm ≧ W 1), more preferably less than 3mm (3mm ≧ W 1) , More preferably, it is set to 2 mm or less (2 mm ≧ W 1). If the upper limit of the width length W 1 is excessively long, the contact area between the plating film and the coating film becomes large, and it becomes impossible to suppress the generation of unpleasant abnormal noise due to the application of an external force.

In the composite part 10, a masking material is used when the base part 11 is surface-treated.
As shown in FIG. 4A, the masking material 20 includes a sheet-shaped main body portion 21 and a plurality of leg portions 22 projecting from the peripheral edge portion of the main body portion 21. The main body 21 is formed so as to have a shape and size corresponding to the non-processed region 18 in a plan view. The leg portion 22 is formed at a position corresponding to an insertion hole 15 provided in the inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13, and is formed so as to have a shape and size that can be inserted into the insertion hole 15. There is.

As shown in FIG. 4B, when the base component 11 is surface-treated, the masking material 20 is mounted in the recess 13 by inserting the leg portion 22 into the insertion hole 15. ..
When the base component 11 is surface-treated with the masking material 20 mounted in the recess 13, the outer peripheral edge portion of the inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13 not covered by the main body 21 of the masking material 20 is surface-treated. The processing region 17 is formed.
Further, the central portion of the inner bottom surface 13A of the recess 13 covered with the main body portion 21 of the masking material 20 is not surface-treated, and a non-treated region 18 is formed.
That is, the treated region 17 and the non-treated region 18 can be formed by a very simple operation of mounting the masking material 20 in the recess 13 at the time of surface treatment of the base component 11.
