本発明の一態様の表示装置を有する表示モジュールについて、図12を用いて説明を行う。表示モジュールは、本発明の一態様の表示装置を有するため、低消費電力化、あるいは視認性の向上、あるいは利便性の向上を図ることができる。
図13(A)乃至図13(G)は、電子機器を示す図である。これらの電子機器は、筐体9000、表示部9001、スピーカ9003、操作キー9005(電源スイッチ、又は操作スイッチを含む)、接続端子9006、センサー9007(力、変位、位置、速度、加速度、角速度、回転数、距離、光、液、磁気、温度、化学物質、音声、時間、硬度、電場、電流、電圧、電力、放射線、流量、湿度、傾度、振動、におい又は赤外線を測定する機能を含むもの)、マイクロフォン9008、等を有することができる。表示部9001は、本発明の一態様の表示モジュールを有するため、低消費電力化、あるいは視認性の向上、あるいは利便性の向上を図ることができる。

Claims (3)
- 画素と、駆動回路と、切り替え制御回路とを有し、
前記画素は、液晶素子および前記液晶素子を駆動するための第1の画素回路、ならびに発光素子および前記発光素子を駆動するための第2の画素回路を有し、
前記液晶素子は開口を有する反射電極を有し、外光を反射して階調表示することができる機能を有し、
前記発光素子は、前記開口を介して発光することで階調表示することができる機能を有し、
前記駆動回路は、前記液晶素子に階調電圧を出力する第1のバッファアンプと、前記発光素子に階調電圧を出力する第2のバッファアンプと、を有し、
前記第1のバッファアンプは、バイアス電流を流す機能を有する第1のトランジスタと、第1の切り替えスイッチと、を有し、
前記第2のバッファアンプは、バイアス電流を流す機能を有する第2のトランジスタと、第2の切り替えスイッチと、を有し、
前記第1の切り替えスイッチは、バイアス電圧を与える第1の配線と前記第1のトランジスタのゲートとの間の導通状態を制御する機能を有し、
前記第2の切り替えスイッチは、バイアス電圧を与える第2の配線と前記第2のトランジスタのゲートとの間の導通状態を制御する機能を有し、
前記切り替え制御回路は、前記第1の切り替えスイッチおよび前記第2の切り替えスイッチの導通状態を制御する切り替え信号を出力する機能を有することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1において、
コントローラと、センサーとを有し、
前記センサーは、照度を検出する機能を有し、
前記コントローラは、前記照度に応じて、前記液晶素子で階調表示を行う第1のモードと、前記液晶素子および前記発光素子で階調表示を行う第2のモードと、前記発光素子で階調表示を行う第3のモードと、を切り替える機能を有することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1または請求項2において、
前記切り替え信号は、前記第1のバッファアンプに与えるための第1の切り替え信号と、前記第2のバッファアンプに与えるための第2の切り替え信号と、を有することを特徴とする表示装置。
