本発明の一態様の表示装置を有する表示モジュールについて、図16を用いて説明を行う。表示モジュールは、本発明の一態様の表示装置を有するため、低消費電力化、あるいは視認性の向上、あるいは利便性の向上を図ることができる。
図17(A)乃至図17(G)は、電子機器を示す図である。これらの電子機器は、筐体9000、表示部9001、スピーカ9003、操作キー9005(電源スイッチ、又は操作スイッチを含む)、接続端子9006、センサー9007(力、変位、位置、速度、加速度、角速度、回転数、距離、光、液、磁気、温度、化学物質、音声、時間、硬度、電場、電流、電圧、電力、放射線、流量、湿度、傾度、振動、におい又は赤外線を測定する機能を含むもの)、マイクロフォン9008、等を有することができる。表示部9001は、本発明の一態様の表示モジュールを有するため、低消費電力化、あるいは視認性の向上、あるいは利便性の向上を図ることができる。

Claims (6)
- 画素と、駆動回路と、を有し、
前記画素は、液晶素子および前記液晶素子を駆動するための第1の画素回路、ならびに発光素子および前記発光素子を駆動するための第2の画素回路を有し、
前記液晶素子は開口を有する反射電極を有し、外光を反射して階調表示することができる機能を有し、
前記発光素子は、前記開口を介して発光することで階調表示することができる機能を有し、
前記駆動回路は、受信回路と、コントローラと、切り替え制御回路と、信号生成回路と、を有し、
前記受信回路は、シリアルデータの差動信号をパラレルデータの画像データに変換して前記コントローラに出力する機能を有し、
前記信号生成回路は、前記コントローラの制御に応じて、前記液晶素子を駆動するための階調電圧、および前記発光素子を駆動するための階調電圧を出力する機能を有し、
前記受信回路は、前記差動信号を受信するための増幅回路を複数有し、
前記増幅回路は、切り替えスイッチと、バイアス電流を流すための第1のトランジスタとを有し、
前記切り替えスイッチは、バイアス電圧を与える配線と前記第1のトランジスタのゲートとの間の導通状態を制御する機能を有し、
前記切り替え制御回路は、前記コントローラの制御に応じて、前記切り替えスイッチの導通状態を制御する切り替え信号を出力する機能を有する表示装置。 - 請求項1において、
前記増幅回路は、第1のアンプおよび第2のアンプを有する表示装置。 - 請求項1または請求項2において、
前記表示装置は、センサーとホストプロセッサを有し、
前記センサーは、照度を検出する機能を有し、
前記ホストプロセッサは、前記照度に応じて、前記液晶素子で階調表示を行う第1のモードと、前記液晶素子および前記発光素子で階調表示を行う第2のモードと、前記発光素子で階調表示を行う第3のモードと、を切り替える機能を有する表示装置。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか一において、
前記第1の画素回路および前記第2の画素回路は、それぞれ第2のトランジスタを有し、
前記第2のトランジスタは、チャネル形成領域が形成される半導体層に金属酸化物を有する表示装置。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれか一において、
前記差動信号は、前記液晶素子を駆動するための第1の差動信号と、前記発光素子を駆動するための第2の差動信号と、を有し、
前記増幅回路は、前記第1の差動信号が入力される第1の増幅回路と、前記第2の差動信号が入力される第2の増幅回路と、を有する表示装置。 - 請求項5において、
前記切り替え信号は、前記第1の増幅回路に与える第1の切り替え信号と、前記第2の増幅回路に与える第2の切り替え信号と、を有する表示装置。
