Description

The present invention relates to a morning glory device in which a surface material is installed on the outer surface of temporary scaffolding so as to protrude diagonally upwards in order to prevent materials, tools, etc. from falling to the ground from the temporary scaffolding at construction and repair work sites for mid- to high-rise buildings.

A conventional device of this type is described in the following Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent No. 5999539). This conventional technology is configured as follows.
A connecting member that is U-shaped in plan view and has an open end opposite the building is attached to a predetermined height of two posts that are set up at a predetermined distance from the scaffolding. Two short tubes for fitting the lower ends of the rectangular tubular frame vertical members of the sheet mounting frame are attached to this connecting member in a line so that they can be tilted freely and rise toward the building side. A U-shaped protrusion is provided on the outer surface of each of the short tubes facing the connecting member, and an outward U-shaped member provided on the outer side of the frame lower horizontal member is fitted over the U-shaped protrusion in plan view, and a wedge is inserted to connect the frame lower horizontal member to the connecting member. A lock pin biased by a spiral spring is attached to the outer surface of each of the short tubes, and the lock pin connects the two short tubes to the two rectangular tubular frame vertical members. On the other hand, short bottomed cylinders having inverted U-shaped members for attaching upper strings at their upper ends are fixed with the bottom side facing up to both ends of the upper frame horizontal members of the sheet attachment frame, and a lock pin biased by a spiral spring is provided at the lower part of the opposing faces of both short bottomed cylinders. The lock pins connect the upper parts of the left and right frame vertical members to the upper frame horizontal members. The required number of mesh sheet hanging pins are provided on the building sides of the upper and lower frame horizontal members and the left and right square tubular frame vertical members, and the mesh sheet, which is the surface material, is tensioned to the sheet attachment frame by passing all of these hanging pins through the eyelets attached to the mesh sheet in large numbers. The upper end mounting pieces of the support members are fixed in a hanging manner above the center of the left and right square tubular frame vertical members, and the upper end of the support member having an inverted U-shaped member for attaching lower strings at the lower end on the support side or in the middle of its length is attached to the upper end mounting pieces of the support members so that it can swing freely. Below the mounting positions of the connecting members of the left and right vertical members of the square tubular frame, the support member lower end holding members are attached to the two pillars, and the two strings attached to the inverted U-shaped members for mounting the upper strings are hooked from above onto the top rail and lowered down to be attached to the inverted U-shaped members for mounting the lower strings.

This technology is said to be capable of "providing a temporary morning glory device that allows the folding and extension of morning glory panels to be easily performed by a single person, and that also allows the sheet (which serves as the surface material) to be easily removed on-site."

Patent No. 5999539

However, the above-mentioned conventional technology has the following problem: In other words, after attaching the connecting member (upper metal fitting) of the vertical member of the square tubular frame to one support pillar on the upper scaffold, the worker must move up and down between the scaffolds when installing the temporary morning glory device on the support pillar of the temporary scaffold, which is a burden on the worker.
In addition, since the structure is not capable of reliably fixing the angle at which the panel is raised from the horizontal plane at multiple angles, there was a risk that the above-mentioned angle could not be maintained in the event of strong winds, etc.
Therefore, the main object of the present invention is to provide a morning glory device that can be easily installed without moving temporary scaffolding up and down, and that can maintain the standing angle from the horizontal plane of the surface material even in the event of a sudden strong wind, etc.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention configures a morning glory device as follows, for example, as shown in Figs. 1 to 5.
That is, it comprises a mounting base 12 installed at a predetermined height on a plurality of pillars 100 spaced apart on the left and right sides at the front side of the temporary scaffolding, vertical frame members 14 whose base ends are connected to the upper side of the mounting base 12 and installed with a forward-facing incline, a panel 20 stretched across and fixed to adjacent vertical frame members 14, and a rod-shaped support member 22 whose tip is connected to the underside of the vertical frame member 14 and whose base end is connected to the mounting base 12 below the connection point of the vertical frame member 14 to support the vertical frame member 14 from below. Among these, the mounting base 12 is composed of a base body 26 having a rectangular flat plate 26a fixed to the front surface of the support 100 by a clamp member 24 connected to the rear surface, a first short cylinder member 28 attached to the upper part of the base body 26 so as to be able to swing up and down, into which the base end of the vertical frame member 14 is fitted, and a second short cylinder member 30 attached directly below the first short cylinder member 28 so as to be able to swing up and down, into which the base end of the support member 22 is fitted. Also, at the tip of the vertical frame member 14, a rectangular guide plate 32 is provided which extends in the longitudinal direction of the vertical frame member 14 and is hung downward, and which has an angle adjustment hole 34 composed of a guide long hole 34a formed along the lower edge and a plurality of locking holes 34b protruding obliquely upward and forward at a predetermined position in the longitudinal direction of the guide long hole 34a. Furthermore, an engagement pin 36 that engages with the angle adjustment hole 34 and is movable within the angle adjustment hole 34 is attached to the tip of the support member 22. The guide plate 32 and the engagement pin 36 cooperate to form an angle adjustment mechanism 38 that determines the elevation angle of the vertical frame member 14.
In specifying the present invention, the side where the temporary scaffolding is located (the right side in FIG. 2) is referred to as the "rear (base)" and the side where the morning glory device 10 extending from the temporary scaffolding is located (the left side in FIG. 2) is referred to as the "front (front)." Additionally, "left and right" refer to left and right as viewed from the front.

In the present invention, both base ends of the vertical frame member 14 and the support member 22 supporting it from below are attached to one mounting base 12, so that the morning glory device can be installed on a temporary scaffold without moving the scaffold up and down.
In addition, since an angle adjustment mechanism 38 having an appropriate weight is provided at the tip of the vertical frame member 14 and the support member 22, even if the morning glory device is blown up from below by wind, the weight of the angle adjustment mechanism 38 can prevent to some extent the elevation angle of the vertical frame member 14 from being undesirably changed.

In the present invention, it is preferable to attach a locking member 40 to the angle adjustment mechanism 38, which provides resistance to prevent the engagement pin 36 from undesirably coming out of the engagement hole 34 b when the engagement pin 36 is accommodated in the engagement hole 34 b.
In this case, even in a strong wind, the elevation angle of the vertical frame member 14, in other words, the rising angle of the panel 20 from the horizontal plane, can be maintained at a predetermined angle.

The present invention provides a morning glory device that can be easily installed without moving the temporary scaffolding up and down, and can maintain the standing angle from the horizontal surface of the surface material even in the event of a sudden strong wind.

A rectangular guide plate 32 is provided at the tip of the vertical frame member 14, extending in the longitudinal direction of the vertical frame member 14 and hanging down.

The guide plate 32 is a member that constitutes an angle adjustment mechanism 38 that determines the elevation angle of the vertical frame member 14 in cooperation with an engagement pin 36 at the tip of the support member 22 described later. In this embodiment, the upper part of the rectangular body is bent into an inverted L-shape to form an attachment portion 32x, and the guide plate 32 is fixed to the underside of the tip of the vertical frame member 14 via this attachment portion 32x by means of welding or the like (see Figure 4).
The guide plate 32 is formed with a long guide hole 34a extending along the entire length of the guide plate 32 along its lower edge, and with a plurality of locking holes 34b protruding obliquely upward and forward at predetermined positions in the length of the long guide hole 34a. The long guide holes 34a and the locking holes 34b function as the angle adjustment holes 34.

The horizontal frame upper member 16 cooperates with the vertical frame member 14 to form a frame body, and is a member that is provided as necessary to reinforce the tip (front end) side of the panel 20 that is stretched across the vertical frame member 14. On the top surface of this horizontal frame upper member 16 in the installed state, a number of L-shaped pins 52 with their tips facing forward are provided at predetermined intervals along the entire length of the horizontal frame upper member 16 (see Figures 1 and 4).

The horizontal frame lower member 18 cooperates with the vertical frame member 14 to form a frame body, and is a member that is provided as necessary to reinforce the base end (rear end) side of the panel 20 that is stretched across the vertical frame member 14. On the upper surface of the horizontal frame lower member 18 in the installed state, multiple bendable pins 54 with movable tips are provided at predetermined intervals along the entire length of the horizontal frame lower member 18 (see Figures 1 and 3).

The face material 20 is stretched across the adjacent vertical frame members 14 to receive heavy objects that fall from above. In the illustrated embodiment, the face material 20 is made of a rectangular resin sheet large enough to cover the rectangular frame formed by the vertical frame members 14, the horizontal frame upper member 16, and the horizontal frame lower member 18. A plurality of grommets (not shown) are attached to the periphery of the face material 20, into which the L-shaped pins 46 of the left and right vertical frame members 14, the L-shaped pins 52 of the horizontal frame upper member 16, the folded pins 54 of the horizontal frame lower member 18, and the folded pins 42 of the first short tube member 28 are respectively fitted. In other words, the L-shaped pins 46, the L-shaped pins 52, the folded pins 54, and the folded pins 42 are fitted into the corresponding plurality of grommets of the face material 20, so that the face material 20 is stretched over the rectangular frame formed by the vertical frame members 14, the horizontal frame upper member 16, and the horizontal frame lower member 18.
In addition, the face material 20 has a portion that protrudes rearward beyond the horizontal frame lower member 18 (see Figs. 1 and 2). This protruding portion is folded back upward and attached to the two supports 100, for example, by strings, etc., so that the protruding portion prevents a gap from occurring between the face material 20 and the front surface of the temporary scaffolding.
The material constituting the face material 20 is not limited to the above-mentioned resin sheet, and may be, for example, an FRP panel.

The support member 22 is a rod-shaped reinforcing member whose base end is connected to the second short cylinder member 30 of the mounting base 12 and whose tip end is swingably connected to the underside of the vertical frame member 14 via an angle adjustment mechanism 38 provided at the tip end of the vertical frame member 14, supporting the vertical frame member 14 from below.
An engagement pin 36 is attached to the tip of the support member 22 at a position corresponding to the guide plate 32 (more specifically, the angle adjustment hole 34) of the vertical frame member 14 (see FIG. 4). The engagement pin 36 is made up of a shaft 36a that moves within the angle adjustment hole 34 and a head 36b that prevents the shaft 36a from coming out of the angle adjustment hole 34. The engagement pin 36 cooperates with the guide plate 32 to form an angle adjustment mechanism 38 that determines the angle of elevation of the vertical frame member 14.

According to the morning glory device 10 of this embodiment configured as described above, both base ends of the vertical frame member 14 and the support member 22 that supports it from below are attached to a single mounting base 12, so the morning glory device can be installed on temporary scaffolding without moving the scaffolding up and down. In addition, because an angle adjustment mechanism 38 with a suitable weight is provided at the tip of the vertical frame member 14 and the support member 22, even if the morning glory device is blown up from below by the wind, the weight of the angle adjustment mechanism 38 can prevent to some extent the elevation angle of the vertical frame member 14 from being undesirably changed.

In the above embodiment, a pair of a first short cylinder member 28 and a second short cylinder member 30 are provided on the left and right sides of the mounting base 12, but it is also possible to provide one first short cylinder member 28 and one second short cylinder member 30 on one mounting base 12.

Next, a Morning Glory device 10 according to a second embodiment shown in FIG. 5 and a Morning Glory device 10 according to a third embodiment shown in FIG. 6 will be described.
The morning glory device 10 of the second and third embodiments differs from the morning glory device 10 of the first embodiment described above in that a locking member 40 is provided on the angle adjustment mechanism 38 formed at the tip of the vertical frame member 14 and the support member 22. Note that other parts are the same as those of the first embodiment described above, and therefore the explanation of the first embodiment described above will be used in place of the explanation of the second and third embodiments.

First, in the second embodiment of the morning glory device 10 shown in FIG. 5, the locking member 40 is composed of a locking piece 60 that is individually provided for each of the locking holes 34b.

The locking piece 60 is a metal member whose tip side is formed into a wedge shape so as to follow the shape of the locking hole 34b, and is attached so as to be able to swing about a support shaft 62 that is provided on the guide plate 32 directly below the entrance of the locking hole 34b. In the normal state, as shown in Fig. 5A, for example, the shaft of the locking piece 60 faces vertically, and acts as a resistance to prevent the engagement pin 36 of the support member 22 arranged in the locking hole 34b from coming out of the locking hole 34b. On the other hand, when the elevation angle of the vertical frame member 14 is adjusted by operating the operating cord 50, as shown in Fig. 5B, for example, the locking piece 60 swings, and the engagement pin 36 can move freely back and forth within the angle adjustment hole 34.
In addition, reference numeral 64 in FIG. 5 denotes a “control pin” that determines the swing (rotation) range of the lock piece 60 .

In the third embodiment of the morning glory device 10 shown in Figure 6, the locking member 40 is composed of an opening and closing bar member 66 having a link mechanism.

The opening/closing bar member 66 is installed so that a part of its link (rear side) can slide back and forth at the upper end of the guide plate 32 by a guide 68 made of a C-channel or the like, thereby opening and closing the locking hole 34b. In addition, at the very end of the front side of the links that make up the opening/closing bar member 66, a string attachment part 48 to which the tip of the operating string 50 is connected is provided. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 6B, by pulling the operating string 50 attached to the string attachment part 48, the opening/closing bar member 66 slides forward and the locking hole 34b is opened. Conversely, as shown in FIG. 6A, by loosening the pulled operating string 50 and returning it to its original position, the opening/closing bar member 66 slides backward and the locking hole 34b is closed.

According to the morning glory device 10 of the second and third embodiments, a locking member 40 is provided which acts as a resistance to prevent the engagement pin 36 from undesirably coming out of the engagement hole 34b when the engagement pin 36 is accommodated in the engagement hole 34b. Therefore, even in a strong wind, the elevation angle of the vertical frame member 14, in other words, the rising angle of the panel 20 from the horizontal plane can be maintained at a predetermined angle.
Of course, the above-described embodiments can be modified in various ways within the scope of what a person skilled in the art can imagine.
