Description
The present invention relates to a morning glory device in which a surface material is installed on the outer surface of temporary scaffolding so as to protrude diagonally upwards in order to prevent materials, tools, etc. from falling to the ground from the temporary scaffolding at construction and repair work sites for mid- to high-rise buildings.
A conventional device of this type is described in the following Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent No. 5999539). This conventional technology is configured as follows.
A connecting member that is U-shaped in plan view and has an open end opposite the building is attached to a predetermined height of two posts that are set up at a predetermined distance from the scaffolding. Two short tubes for fitting the lower ends of the rectangular tubular frame vertical members of the sheet mounting frame are attached to this connecting member in a line so that they can be tilted freely and rise toward the building side. A U-shaped protrusion is provided on the outer surface of each of the short tubes facing the connecting member, and an outward U-shaped member provided on the outer side of the frame lower horizontal member is fitted over the U-shaped protrusion in plan view, and a wedge is inserted to connect the frame lower horizontal member to the connecting member. A lock pin biased by a spiral spring is attached to the outer surface of each of the short tubes, and the lock pin connects the two short tubes to the two rectangular tubular frame vertical members. On the other hand, short bottomed cylinders having inverted U-shaped members for attaching upper strings at their upper ends are fixed with the bottom side facing up to both ends of the upper frame horizontal members of the sheet attachment frame, and a lock pin biased by a spiral spring is provided at the lower part of the opposing faces of both short bottomed cylinders. The lock pins connect the upper parts of the left and right frame vertical members to the upper frame horizontal members. The required number of mesh sheet hanging pins are provided on the building sides of the upper and lower frame horizontal members and the left and right square tubular frame vertical members, and the mesh sheet, which is the surface material, is tensioned to the sheet attachment frame by passing all of these hanging pins through the eyelets attached to the mesh sheet in large numbers. The upper end mounting pieces of the support members are fixed in a hanging manner above the center of the left and right square tubular frame vertical members, and the upper end of the support member having an inverted U-shaped member for attaching lower strings at the lower end on the support side or in the middle of its length is attached to the upper end mounting pieces of the support members so that it can swing freely. Below the mounting positions of the connecting members of the left and right vertical members of the square tubular frame, the support member lower end holding members are attached to the two pillars, and the two strings attached to the inverted U-shaped members for mounting the upper strings are hooked from above onto the top rail and lowered down to be attached to the inverted U-shaped members for mounting the lower strings.
This technology is said to be capable of "providing a temporary morning glory device that allows the folding and extension of morning glory panels to be easily performed by a single person, and that also allows the sheet (which serves as the surface material) to be easily removed on-site."
However, the above-mentioned conventional technology has the following problems. That is, only sheet-like materials (mesh sheets) can be used as the surface material, and when using panel-like materials, a completely different material must be prepared as a framework (frame) consisting of upper and lower horizontal members and left and right square tubular vertical members. This causes problems such as complicated inventory management of the morning glory device and poor economic efficiency.
Therefore, a primary object of the present invention is to provide a Morning Glory device that can use both sheet-like and panel-like materials as surface materials, allows easy inventory management, and is also economical.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention configures a morning glory device as follows, for example, as shown in Figs. 1 to 4.
That is, it comprises a mounting base 12 installed at a predetermined height on a plurality of pillars 100 spaced apart on the left and right sides at the front of the temporary scaffolding, a set of left and right diagonal members 14 whose base ends are connected to the upper side of the mounting base 12 and installed in a forward-sloping manner, an upper cross bar 16 installed on the tips of the set of left and right diagonal members 14, a lower cross bar 18 installed on the base ends of the set of left and right diagonal members 14, a panel material 22 attached to a substantially square framework 20 assembled from the diagonal members 14, the upper cross bar 16 and the lower cross bar 18, and a rod-shaped cheek member 24 whose tip is connected to the underside of the diagonal members 14 and whose base end is connected to a lower side of the connection point of the diagonal members 14 on the mounting base 12, thereby supporting the diagonal members 14 from below. The upper horizontal rail 16 forming the framework 20 has an upper accommodation recess 26 for accommodating the upper edge of the face material 22 inside the upper horizontal rail body 16a, which has a cross section in the width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction formed into a substantially U-shape . The lower horizontal rail 18 forming the framework 20 has a lower accommodation recess 28 for accommodating the lower edge of the face material 22 inside the lower horizontal rail body 18a, which has a cross section in the width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction formed into a substantially inverted J shape with the lower side being the long side. Furthermore, the upper and lower shaft fixing parts 30 are provided at both the left and right ends of the upper horizontal rail 16 and the lower horizontal rail 18 , and the shaft fixing parts 30 are detachably attached to the shaft members 32 that fix the left and right ends of the sheet-like face material 22a. The face material 22 can be a sheet-like face material 22a made of a flexible sheet material and a panel-like face material 22b made of a hard material .
In specifying the present invention, the side where the temporary scaffolding is located (the right side in Figs. 1 and 2) is referred to as the "rear (base)" and the side where the morning glory device 10 extending from the temporary scaffolding is located (the left side in Figs. 1 and 2) is referred to as the "front (front)". In addition, "left and right" refer to left and right as viewed from the front.
In the present invention, both base ends of the diagonal member 14 and the brace member 24 supporting it from below are attached to one mounting base 12, so that the morning glory device can be installed on a temporary scaffold without moving the scaffold up and down.
Furthermore, an upper accommodating recess 26 for accommodating the upper edge of the face material 22 is provided inside the upper horizontal rail 16, and a lower accommodating recess 28 for accommodating the lower edge of the face material 22 is provided inside the lower horizontal rail 18, so that when the face material 22 is panel-shaped, attachment of the face material 22b to the framework 20 is completed simply by accommodating the upper and lower edges of the panel-shaped face material 22b into the upper accommodating recess 26 and the lower accommodating recess 28, respectively. On the other hand, when the face material 22 is sheet-shaped, attachment of the face material 22a to the framework 20 is completed without changing the framework 20 by simply attaching the shaft members 32 to both left and right ends of the sheet-shaped face material 22a and then attaching the shaft members 32 to the left and right shaft fixing portions 30.
In the present invention, it is preferable to attach at least one of an upper panel material clamp (not shown) that is stretched between the left and right diagonal members 14 and supports the panel material 22 from above, or a lower panel material clamp (not shown) that is stretched between the diagonal members 14 and supports the panel material 22 from below, midway along the longitudinal direction of the pair of left and right diagonal members 14.
In this case, not only can the panel 22 set in the framework 20 be effectively prevented from coming off the framework 20, but the framework 20 can also be reinforced.
According to the present invention, both sheet-like and panel-like materials can be used as surface materials, making it possible to provide a morning glory device that is easy to manage in stock and is also economical.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing a morning glory device 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention, with Fig. 1A showing a case where a sheet-shaped surface material 22a is used, and Fig. 1B showing a case where a panel-shaped surface material 22b is used. Fig. 2 is a perspective view showing the morning glory device 10 of Fig. 1 with the surface material 22 removed. As shown in these figures, the morning glory device 10 of this embodiment is equipped with a mounting base 12 installed at a predetermined height on a plurality of support pillars 100 spaced apart on the left and right sides of the front side of the temporary scaffolding, a set of left and right diagonal members 14 whose base ends are connected to the upper side of the mounting base 12 and installed in a front-upward inclined manner, an upper cross bar 16 installed at the tip of the set of left and right diagonal members 14, a lower cross bar 18 installed at the base end of the set of left and right diagonal members 14, a face material 22 that is fixed to a substantially square frame 20 assembled from the diagonal members 14, the upper cross bar 16, and the lower cross bar 18, and a rod-shaped cheek material 24 whose tip is connected to the underside of the diagonal members 14 and whose base end is connected to the mounting base 12 below the connection point of the diagonal members 14 to support the diagonal members 14 from below.
Here, the temporary scaffolding on which the Morning Glory device 10 is installed has multiple front (opposite the building) supports 100 erected at intervals in the left-right direction, and rear (building side) supports (not shown) erected behind each of the front supports 100. Furthermore, brackets (not shown) are erected in multiple stages at a predetermined height between the front and rear supports, and scaffolding boards are attached between the left and right brackets. Furthermore, handrails (not shown) are attached between the left and right supports 100.
The temporary scaffolding on which the morning glory device 10 is installed is not limited to the above structure, but can be applied to any other structure of temporary scaffolding. Also, while Fig. 1 shows the morning glory device 10 installed only in the area between the two front columns 100, the morning glory device 10 is generally installed so as to extend to the areas on both the left and right sides, not shown. In this case, the mounting base 12 is shared between adjacent areas (sections).
The mounting base 12 is a metal fitting that is installed at a predetermined height on multiple pillars 100 that are erected at intervals on the left and right sides of the front side of the temporary scaffolding, and is roughly composed of a clamp member 34, a base body 36, a short cylinder member 38, and an angle adjustment mechanism 40 (see Figure 2).
The clamp members 34 are used to secure the mounting base 12 to the support 100, and in the illustrated embodiment, are provided at two locations, one above and one below, on the rear surface of the flat base body 36.
The base body 36 is a metal member for holding the short cylinder member 38 and the angle adjustment mechanism 40, and as described above, is fixed to the front surface of the support 100 by the clamp member 34 connected to the rear surface. In this embodiment, the flat plate-shaped base body 36 has on both the left and right side surfaces a cord attachment portion 36a to which the operating cord 44 described below is attached.
The short cylinder member 38 is a rectangular short cylinder member that is fixed to the upper part of the base body 36 so as to be able to swing up and down, and into which the base end of the diagonal member 14 is fitted to hold the base end. In this embodiment, a pair of short cylinder members 38 are provided on the left and right sides of the upper part of the base body 36.
The angle adjustment mechanism 40 is a mechanism for fixing and maintaining the elevation angle of the diagonal member 14, i.e., the rising angle of the face member 22 from the horizontal plane, at a predetermined angle by adjusting the fixed position of the base end of the cheek rest member 24 (described later) in the vertical direction.
The diagonal member 14 is a long, square pipe-like member whose base end is connected to a short cylinder member 38 of the mounting base 12 and is installed in an upwardly upward incline. An inverted U-shaped cord attachment part 42 is provided at the tip of the diagonal member 14, and the tip of an operating cord 44 is connected to the cord attachment part 42 (see Figure 1). This operating cord 44 is used to control the raising and lowering of the diagonal member 14, and is hooked from above to a handrail (not shown) of the temporary scaffolding that is located higher than the tip of the diagonal member 14 and hung downward, with the other end attached to the cord attachment part 36a of the mounting base 12.
A mounting bracket 46 is fixed to the underside of the diagonal member 14 at approximately the center of its length for connecting the tip of the cheek rest member 24, which will be described later.
The upper cross rail 16 cooperates with the diagonal members 14 to form the upper side of the framework 20, and is a member that accommodates the leading (front) edge of the panel 22 that is attached to the framework 20. The cross section in the width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction has a generally U-shaped, long upper cross rail body 16a (see Figures 2 and 3). An upper accommodation recess 26 that accommodates the upper edge of the panel 22 is provided inside the generally U-shaped upper cross rail body 16a (see Figure 3).
In addition, a sheath-shaped link portion 16b is provided at both longitudinal ends of the upper rail body 16a, into which the tip of the diagonal member 14 is inserted to connect the two, and one of the upper and lower shaft fixing portions 30, which is on the upper horizontal rail 16 side, is provided at the positions of both longitudinal ends of the upper rail body 16a adjacent to the link portion 16b.
As shown in FIG. 1A, the shaft fixing portion 30 provided on the upper crosspiece 16 side is a member for fixing the shaft members 32 attached to both widthwise ends of the face material 22a within the framework 20 in cooperation with the shaft fixing portion 30 on the lower crosspiece 18 side described below when a sheet-like face material 22a is used as the face material 22, and is equipped with a movable lock pin 30a and a slide member 30b (see FIG. 3).
The movable lock pin 30a is a rod-shaped member that is movably attached to an opening drilled in a vertical piece connecting the upper and lower pieces of the upper rail body 16a, and its tip is inserted and removed from an opening in the longitudinal end face (tip face) of the cylindrical shaft member 32. In the embodiment shown in Figure 3, one of the openings formed in the vertical piece at both widthwise ends of the upper rail body 16a (the left side in Figure 3A) is formed as a horizontally elongated hole, allowing the position of the movable lock pin 30a to be adjusted in the lateral direction. This allows the sheet-like surface material 22a to be stretched with high tension.
The slide member 30b is a plate material formed in a roughly L-shape to cover the vertical piece and upper piece of the upper rail body 16a, and engages and disengages with the head of the movable lock pin 30a by sliding in the longitudinal direction of the upper rail body 16a. When the slide member 30b and the head of the movable lock pin 30a are engaged, the movable lock pin 30a is locked so that it cannot move forward or backward. Conversely, when the slide member 30b and the head of the movable lock pin 30a are disengaged, the movable lock pin 30a can move forward or backward.
Here, reference numeral 30c in FIG. 3 denotes a "knob" for operating the slide member 30b, and reference numeral 30d denotes a "wing bolt" that guides the movement of the slide member 30b and fixes the slide member 30b in a predetermined position.
Although not shown, it is preferable to connect the head of the movable lock pin 30a to the upper rail body 16a or the slide member 30b using a wire rope or the like. This makes it possible to prevent the movable lock pin 30a from falling or becoming lost.
In this embodiment, the upper horizontal bars 16 are provided with a hook-shaped member 48 on the outer side of one of the left and right link portions 16b at the tip thereof, which engages with the link portion 16b of the upper horizontal bar 16 constituting the adjacent framework 20, and a receiving member 50 is provided on the other tip thereof, which engages with the hook-shaped member 48 of the adjacent framework 20. This allows the adjacent frameworks 20 to be connected to each other.
The lower horizontal rail 18 cooperates with the diagonal member 14 to form the lower side of the framework 20, and is a member that accommodates the base end (rear end) edge of the panel 22 that is attached to the framework 20. The cross section in the width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction has a generally inverted J-shape and a long lower rail body 18a (see Figures 2 and 4). A lower accommodation recess 28 that accommodates the lower end edge of the panel 22 is provided inside the lower rail body 18a that is formed in a generally inverted J-shape (see Figure 4).
In addition, hook-shaped link parts 18b that engage with the base ends of the diagonal members 14 to connect the two are provided at both longitudinal ends of the lower rail body 18a, and the upper and lower shaft fixing parts 30, which are on the lower cross rail 18 side, are provided at the positions of both longitudinal ends of the lower rail body 18a adjacent to the link parts 18b.
As shown in FIG. 1A, when a sheet-like surface material 22a is used as the surface material 22, the shaft fixing portion 30 provided on the lower cross bar 18 side is a member for fixing the shaft member 32 attached to both widthwise ends of the surface material 22a within the framework 20 in cooperation with the shaft fixing portion 30 on the upper cross bar 16 side described above, and is provided with a fixing lock pin 30e (see FIG. 4).
The fixed lock pin 30e protrudes into the lower storage recess 28 from the vertical piece connecting the upper and lower pieces of the lower rail body 18a, and unlike the above-mentioned movable lock pin 30a, is fixed to the above-mentioned vertical piece so as not to move forward or backward, and is a rod-shaped member whose tip side is inserted and detached into the interior through an opening in the longitudinal end face (base end face) of the cylindrical shaft member 32. In the embodiment shown in Figure 4, one of the fixed lock pins 30e (the right side in Figure 4A) that is fixed to the vertical piece at both ends in the width direction of the lower rail body 18a so as not to move forward or backward is made to be able to slide laterally. Specifically, a horizontally long hole is drilled in one of the longitudinal ends of the vertical piece of the lower rail body 18a, and a slide member 18c is attached to cover the horizontally long hole. The fixed lock pin 30e is then fixed to the position of the slide member 18c corresponding to the horizontally long hole by welding or the like. The laterally movable fixed lock pin 30e configured in this manner can work with the laterally movable movable lock pin 30a described above to tension the sheet-like surface material 22a with high tension. Note that reference numeral 18d in FIG. 4 denotes a "knob" for operating the slide member 18c to which the fixed lock pin 30e is fixed, and reference numeral 18e denotes a "wing bolt" that guides the movement of the slide member 18c and fixes the slide member 18c in a predetermined position.
The lower horizontal rail 18 in the illustrated embodiment is made of a metal material such as an aluminum alloy, and is extended rearward from the upper piece of the lower horizontal rail body 18a. A guard plate 18f is attached to the lower horizontal rail body 18a, with its tip curved upward and having a generally L-shaped cross section in the width direction, to fill the gap between the framework 20 and scaffolding (not shown).
The panel 22 is attached to a substantially square frame 20 assembled from a pair of left and right diagonal members 14, an upper horizontal bar 16, and a lower horizontal bar 18, and is intended to receive heavy objects falling from above. In the illustrated embodiment, the panel 22 can be either a sheet-like panel 22a made of a flexible sheet material such as a resin sheet, as shown in FIG. 1A, or a panel-like panel 22b made of a hard material such as an FRP panel, as shown in FIG. 1B. Of these, the sheet-like panel 22a shown in FIG. 1A has loops formed on both widthwise ends, and the shaft member 32 is accommodated within the loops.
When using a sheet-like face material 22a as the face material 22, it is preferable to fix the face material 22a to both front and rear ends of the shaft member 32 using clip members 52 such as packers so that the shaft member 32 housed in the loop at both ends of the face material 22a in the width direction does not fall out of the loop (see Figure 5).
The cheek rest member 24 is a rod-shaped reinforcing member whose tip is swingably connected to the underside of the diagonal member 14 via a mounting bracket 46 located approximately in the center of the diagonal member 14 in the longitudinal direction, and whose base end is connected to an angle adjustment mechanism 40 below the connection point (short cylinder member 38) of the diagonal member 14 on the mounting base 12, supporting the diagonal member 14 from below. Note that the connection position of the tip of this cheek rest member 24 to the diagonal member 14 is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment, and may be, for example, the tip of the diagonal member 14.
Next, when installing the morning glory device 10 of this embodiment on a temporary scaffold, first, the mounting bases 12 are attached to the same height of the adjacent left and right supports 100 in the front row.
Next, the base end of the diagonal member 14, whose tip end of the cheek member 24 is attached to the mounting bracket 46, is inserted and fixed into the short tube member 38, and a lower cross rail 18 is erected on the base end of the diagonal member 14, and an upper cross rail 16 is erected on the tip end of the diagonal member 14 to complete the frame 20.
Next, the panel 22 is attached to the completed framework 20. When the panel 22 is a sheet-like panel 22a (see FIG. 1A), the base end of the shaft member 32 attached to both widthwise ends is engaged with the fixed lock pin 30e of the lower horizontal rail 18, and the tip of the shaft member 32 is engaged with the movable lock pin 30a of the upper horizontal rail 16, thereby completing the tensioning of the panel 22a to the framework 20. On the other hand, when the panel 22 is a panel-like panel 22b (see FIG. 1B), the lower edge of the panel 22b is accommodated in the lower accommodation recess 28 of the lower horizontal rail 18, and the upper edge of the panel 22b is accommodated in the upper accommodation recess 26 of the upper horizontal rail 16, thereby completing the tensioning of the panel 22b to the framework 20.
Then, an operating string 44 is attached to the string attachment portion 42 at the tip of the diagonal member 14, and the base end of the cheek rest member 24 is connected to the angle adjustment mechanism 40, thereby completing the installation of one section of the morning glory device 10.
According to the morning glory device 10 of this embodiment, both base ends of the diagonal member 14 and the brace member 24 that supports it from below are attached to a single mounting base 12, so that the morning glory device can be installed on temporary scaffolding without moving the scaffolding up and down.
Therefore, both sheet-like and panel-like materials can be used as the face material 22, making it possible to provide a morning glory device 10 that is easy to manage in stock and is also highly economical.
In the above embodiment, the framework 20 is shown to be composed only of a pair of left and right diagonal members 14, an upper horizontal crosspiece 16, and a lower horizontal crosspiece 18. However, at least one of an upper panel retainer (not shown) that is installed between the diagonal members 14 and supports the panel 22 from above, or a lower panel retainer (not shown) that is installed between the diagonal members 14 and supports the panel 22 from below, may be attached midway along the length of the pair of left and right diagonal members 14. This not only effectively prevents the panel 22 set in the framework 20 from coming off the framework 20, but also reinforces the framework 20.
In addition, in the above-described embodiment, a set of upper and lower shaft fixing parts 30 is shown as being composed of a movable lock pin 30a on the upper cross bar 16 side and a fixed lock pin 30e on the lower cross bar 18 side, but this shaft fixing part 30 may be in any form as long as it can removably attach (within the framework 20) the shaft member 32 that fixes both the left and right ends of the sheet-like panel 22a, and is not limited to the above.
Of course, various other modifications can be made within the scope of what a person skilled in the art can imagine.
