Description

The present invention relates to a lid or container body for a packaging container made of a resin sheet, suitable for stacking.

Boxed lunches, side dishes, salads, noodles, etc. are often packed in packaging containers made of thin plastic sheets and displayed in stacks on store shelves at supermarkets, convenience stores, etc.
Although such packaging containers are made of thin resin sheets, they are designed to have sufficient rigidity so as not to deform even when stacked.

For example, the following Patent Document 1 discloses a packaging container that includes a container body and a lid, in which a recess is formed on the top surface of the lid for receiving a protrusion formed on the bottom surface of the container body, and that can be stacked in multiple layers so that the protrusion of the container body fits into the recess of the lid. The packaging container is characterized in that a bent portion consisting of a protrusion that protrudes into the lid is formed around the periphery of the recess of the lid, and the lid is resistant to being crushed even when stacked in multiple layers.

As disclosed in a preferred embodiment of the packaging container described in Patent Document 1 above, ribs are formed at appropriate intervals in the circumferential direction on the peripheral wall portion extending downward from the outer periphery of the top surface of the lid, and it is common to provide ribs in order to increase the rigidity of the peripheral wall portion.
However, providing many ribs on the peripheral wall portion reduces visibility of the contents stored inside because the ribs block the view. In particular, when containers are stacked, the top surface is covered and the only visible part of the container is the peripheral wall portion, so providing many ribs here can make it difficult to check what is stored inside.

The object of the present invention is to provide a lid for a packaging container that is rigid enough to be stacked without the need for multiple ribs on the peripheral wall, and also to provide a container body with a similar structure.

One form of the lid for a packaging container of the present invention has a top surface, a side wall portion extending downward from the periphery of the top surface, and a fitting portion provided on the lower end side of the top surface that fits into the container body, and is made of a resin sheet, wherein the top surface is made flat on which another packaging container is placed, and the connecting portion between the top surface and the side wall portion is made into a concave portion in which the top surface and the side wall portion are both recessed toward the inside of the lid body, and the concave portion is curved in cross section and provided around the entire edge of the top surface, and is formed by folding so that the radius of curvature on the surface side of the first connecting portion which is the connecting portion between the top surface and the concave portion and the second connecting portion which is the connecting portion between the side wall portion and the concave portion is 1.0 mm or less .

In this way, by making the connecting portion between the top surface and the side wall of the thin-walled packaging container lid made of a resin sheet a concave portion, the concave portion bends even when another packaging container is placed on the top surface, absorbing external forces appropriately, so the side wall portion is less likely to be crushed even when stacked.

In the above embodiment, the concave portion may be curved in cross section.
This allows the recessed portion to easily absorb external forces and easily return to its original shape due to its elasticity.

In the above embodiment, the top surface and the side wall can each be flat.
By doing so, if the lid is made transparent, the inside of the container can be easily seen because there are no ribs on the top surface and side walls. If the containers are stacked, the contents can be seen through the side walls.

In addition, the container body of a packaging container of a reference form has a bottom portion, a side wall portion extending upward from the periphery of the bottom portion, and a fitting portion provided on the upper end side of the bottom portion to fit into a lid body, and is made of a resin sheet, and is characterized in that the connecting portion between the bottom portion and the side wall portion is a concave portion formed by recessing both the bottom portion and the side wall portion toward the inside of the body, the concave portion is curved in cross section and provided around the entire edge of the bottom portion, and is formed by folding so that the radius of curvature on the surface side of the first connecting portion which is the connecting portion between the bottom portion and the concave portion and the second connecting portion which is the connecting portion between the side wall portion and the concave portion is 1.0 mm or less .
Even in this case, as with the lids, the recessed portions bend even when stacked and absorb external forces appropriately, so that the side walls and the like are less likely to be crushed.

Below, one embodiment of the lid for a packaging container of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1, the lid 1 of a packaging container according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a top surface 11, a side wall 12, and a recessed portion 13.

2 to 4, the top surface 11 is formed as a horizontal surface that is a flat surface having a rectangular shape in a plan view. By making it a flat surface, it is easy to stack the containers, and if it is transparent, it is easy to see inside.
In this embodiment, the shape is rectangular when viewed from above, but is not limited to this, and may be rectangular when viewed from above, such as a square or a rhombus, polygonal when viewed from above, such as a hexagon or an octagon, circular, elliptical, etc. Also, in this embodiment, the surface is flat, but the surface may be curved (dome) with a bulge near the center, arched when viewed from the side, or wavy with repeated projections and recesses.

5, the side wall portion 12 is formed as a flat surface that is inclined downward from the periphery of the top surface portion 11. By making the surface flat, if the side wall portion 12 is made transparent, the inside can be easily seen.
In this embodiment, the surface is an inclined flat surface, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the surface may be a drooping surface, a convex curved surface, or a concave curved surface.
The angle (θ in FIG. 5) between the top surface 11 and the side wall 12 is not particularly limited, but is preferably 90° or more, and the upper limit is preferably 110° or less.

The concave portion 13 is formed around the entire circumference in the circumferential direction by recessing the vicinity of the connecting portion between the top surface portion 11 and the side wall portion 12. In this embodiment, the concave portion 13 is formed around the entire circumference in the circumferential direction of the lid body, but this is not limited thereto, and the concave portion 13 may be provided in a portion and formed intermittently. It is preferable that the other portions are bent at right angles or obtuse angles. If the concave portion 13 is provided around the entire circumference in the circumferential direction, the function of absorbing external forces can be maximized, but the rigidity of the lid body 1 may be reduced. In addition, if the concave portion 13 is made angular, the rigidity of the lid body 1 can be increased. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of design, it may be preferable to make it angular. It is preferable to design the lid body 1 while adjusting the rigidity with respect to the external force absorption and taking into account the design. From this viewpoint, it is preferable to provide the concave portion 13 at about half or more of the length of the entire circumference in the circumferential direction around the connecting portion between the top surface portion 11 and the side wall portion 12, particularly at about 70% or more, and further at about 80% or more.
The cross section of the recessed portion 13 is curved. This cross section does not have to be a circular arc with a constant radius as long as it is curved. By doing so, the load on the top surface portion 11 can be absorbed by the recessed portion 13, making it easier to restore the shape.
In this embodiment, the cross section is curved, but the present invention is not limited to this. It is sufficient that the cross section is concave, and the cross section may be concave in a broken line shape.

The first connecting portion 14, which is the connecting portion between the top surface portion 11 and the recessed portion 13, is not particularly limited, but it is preferable that the radius of curvature R on the surface side of the lid body 1 is 1.0 mm or less. The second connecting portion 15, which is the connecting portion between the side wall portion 12 and the recessed portion 13, is not particularly limited, but it is preferable that the radius of curvature R on the surface side of the lid body 1 is 1.0 mm or less. By doing so, the recessed portion 13 can efficiently absorb the load.

The recessed portion 13 is preferably formed with a constant width and is preferably formed with a narrow width. More specifically, as shown in FIG. 2, it is preferable that the width W of the recessed portion 13 in a plan view is 8% or less of the width W' of the top surface portion 11 and the recessed portion 13. If the width is too wide, the recessed portion 13 will bend too much, and the top surface portion 11 will sink significantly when stacked. Note that the width W' indicates the maximum width of the top surface portion 11 and the recessed portion 13.

A flange portion 16 is formed at the lower end of the side wall portion 12 so as to face outward from the lid body, and a fitting portion 17 is provided at the tip of the flange portion 16 as a hanging surface.
The fitting portion 17 is formed with engagement portions 18 that protrude toward the inside of the lid body so that it can be fitted into the container body 2. The engagement portions 18 are formed intermittently at an appropriate length in the circumferential direction. The lid body 1 is provided at its four corners with knobs 19 that protrude like tongues.

The container body 2 on which the lid 1 is to be placed may have any shape as long as it is designed so that the lid 1 can be placed thereon.
The container body 2 is, for example, as shown in Figure 6, of a so-called knuckle type, and has a rectangular shape when viewed from above, and a side wall portion 22 that rises upward from the periphery of a horizontal bottom portion 21, the upper end of the wall portion 22 is folded back to the outside of the body to form a fitting portion 23, and the lower end of the wall portion 22 extends downward to form legs 24.

The fitted portion 23 is designed so that the fitting portion 17 of the lid 1 can be fitted onto it from the outside, and a locking portion 25 is formed around the entire periphery, protruding outward from the main body, so that the engaging portion 18 can engage with it.
In this embodiment, the lid body 1 is structured to be externally fitted to the container body 2, but this is not limited to this and may be a fitting structure such as internal fitting or internal and external fitting, or a structure in which the lid body 1 is placed on the container body 2.

The packaging container consisting of the lid 1 and the container body 2 can hold, for example, food items, and more specifically, bento lunches, side dishes, sushi, salads, etc.

The lid 1 and the container body 2 can be produced by thermoforming a synthetic resin sheet, although there is no particular limitation thereto. The synthetic resin sheet may be either a non-foamed resin sheet or a foamed resin sheet, with a non-foamed resin sheet being preferred.
In the case of a non-foamed resin sheet, it is preferable to use a so-called thin resin sheet, specifically, a sheet having a thickness in the range of 0.1 mm to 2.0 mm, particularly 0.2 mm to 1.2 mm.
In the case of a foamed resin sheet, it is preferable to use a sheet having a thickness in the range of 0.5 mm to 4.0 mm, particularly in the range of 0.7 mm to 2.2 mm. In addition, in the case of a foamed resin sheet, it is preferable to set the expansion ratio to 1.05 times to 20.0 times, particularly in the range of 1.5 times to 15.0 times.

As the non-foamed resin sheet, for example, a thermoplastic resin sheet such as a polyolefin resin sheet such as a polyethylene resin sheet or a polypropylene resin sheet, a polyester resin sheet such as a polystyrene resin sheet, a polyethylene terephthalate resin sheet, or a modified polyethylene terephthalate resin sheet with heat resistance can be used. In addition, a sheet that can withstand heating in a microwave oven, for example, a heat-resistant polystyrene resin sheet, a polypropylene resin sheet, or a modified polyethylene terephthalate resin sheet with heat resistance can be used.

As the foamed resin sheet, for example, a foamed polyolefin-based resin sheet, a foamed polystyrene-based resin sheet, a foamed polyester-based resin sheet such as a foamed polyethylene terephthalate resin sheet, etc. can be used.
A laminated sheet obtained by laminating synthetic resin sheets can also be used. Examples of the laminated sheet include a laminated sheet obtained by thermally laminating a resin film onto a non-foamed resin sheet or a foamed resin sheet, a laminated sheet produced by a co-extrusion method, and a laminated sheet produced by an extrusion lamination method.

Examples of thermoforming include vacuum forming, pressure forming, vacuum pressure forming, and hot plate forming. When thermoforming the lid 1, it is preferable to use a male mold. By using a male mold, it becomes easier to increase the thickness of the top surface 11, and the rigidity can be increased.

The lid 1 and container body 2 may be colored, such as black or white, but are preferably transparent or translucent so that the inside can be seen. In particular, it is preferable that the lid 1 be transparent or translucent, and the container body 2 be non-transparent, such as black. The surface of the lid 1 may be printed or engraved with letters, patterns, etc., to the extent that visibility is not hindered, and ribs may be provided for reinforcement or textured to prevent slipping. A stacking protrusion S that bulges out in a rectangular parallelepiped shape may also be provided, so that the lids 1 do not stick to each other when stacked.

Although not shown, as another embodiment of the present invention, a structure in which a recess is provided in the container body can also be used.
This container body can have a structure in which the lid 1 is turned upside down, and more specifically, it has a side wall extending upward from the periphery of the flat bottom, and the connecting portion between the bottom and the side wall can be formed as a concave portion recessed toward the inside of the body. In this case, too, it is preferable that the concave portion is curved in cross section, and the bottom and side wall are each flat.
In such a container body, the recessed portion can absorb the load on the container body, so that the side wall portion is less likely to be crushed.

The lid 1 and container body 2 may be integrally connected by a hinge to form a so-called food pack.

The packaging container of this embodiment can be used, for example, by placing food in the container body 2 and then fitting the lid body 1.

When these packaging containers are stacked, even if the top surface 11 is pressed down, as shown in FIG. 7, the recessed portion 13 bends, so that the side wall portion 12 is less likely to be loaded and is less likely to be crushed. Therefore, it is not necessary to provide ribs or the like for reinforcing the side wall portion 12. In particular, when the lid 1 is made transparent, there are no ribs or the like on the side wall portion 12 even when stacked, so visibility is good and the contents inside can be confirmed.

When the load on the top surface 11 is removed, the elasticity of the recessed portion 13 allows it to return to its original shape.

The configuration aspects of the above embodiment are not intended to limit the present invention, and modifications are possible as long as the technical objective is the same, and the present invention includes such modifications.
