Description
前記金属マグネシウムは、例えば、粒子状や粉末状であることが好ましい。前記金属マグネシウムの粒子径は、前記金属マグネシウムが前記多孔体中に分散して存在することができれば、特に限定されない。前記金属マグネシウムの粒子径としては、例えば、体積平均粒子径で、0.5~5μmであることが好ましく、0.8~2μmであることがより好ましい。前記金属マグネシウムが大きすぎると、前記飲料水に接触できる前記金属マグネシウムの面積が相対的に小さくなり、前記金属マグネシウムによる水素発生量が少なくなる傾向がある。また、前記金属マグネシウムが小さくてもよいが、前記金属マグネシウムの粒子径を小さくすることには限界がある。また、前記金属マグネシウムが小さすぎると、前記多孔体から脱落しやすくなる傾向もある。これらのことから、前記金属マグネシウムの粒子径が、上記範囲内であると、前記金属マグネシウムによる水素発生量が好適になり、好適な飲料水処理材が得られる。

Claims (5)
- 飲料水を処理する飲料水処理材であって、
金属マグネシウム及びシリカを含む多孔体とイオン交換樹脂とを備え、
前記イオン交換樹脂の、前記シリカに対する質量比は、12~30倍であり、
前記多孔体と前記イオン交換樹脂とが混合されていることを特徴とする飲料水処理材。 - 前記イオン交換樹脂の、前記多孔体に対する質量比は、8~20倍である請求項1に記載の飲料水処理材。
- 前記イオン交換樹脂の、前記金属マグネシウムに対する質量比は、32~80倍である請求項1又は請求項2に記載の飲料水処理材。
- 前記イオン交換樹脂は、強酸性陽イオン交換樹脂である請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の飲料水処理材。
- 前記飲料水は、愛玩動物用飲料水である請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の飲料水処理材。
