Description
The present invention relates to a nutritional supplement composition and a method for producing the same, a method for suppressing the unpleasant odor of a nutritional supplement composition, and a composition for suppressing the unpleasant odor of a nutritional supplement composition.
In recent years, due to irregular eating habits and growing awareness of beauty, there has been an increasing demand for nutritional supplement compositions, such as dietary supplements containing amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, in order to efficiently replenish necessary nutrients.
The nutritional supplement composition contains various components (hereinafter sometimes referred to as "raw materials"), and it is known that some of the raw materials themselves have an unpleasant odor. Such odors pose a problem in that they reduce the product value of the nutritional supplement composition.
Vitamin B1, for example, is known as a component whose raw material itself has a problematic odor.
As techniques for reducing the odor of vitamin B1, for example, a technique of incorporating chondroitin sulfate (see, for example, Patent Document 1) and a technique of incorporating fermented cellulose (see, for example, Patent Document 2) have been proposed.
In addition, as a deodorizing substance that can be used for food applications, for example, a deodorizing substance has been proposed that is a fraction obtained by passing a raw material selected from sweet potato juice and molasses derived from sweet potatoes through a column packed with a synthetic adsorbent as a fixed carrier, and eluting the components adsorbed by the synthetic adsorbent with a solvent selected from water, methanol, ethanol, and mixtures thereof (see, for example, Patent Document 3).
As mentioned above, various technologies that can prevent the decline in product value of nutritional supplement compositions and the like are currently being investigated.
