Description

This disclosure relates to building materials.

Conventionally, a fitting is known that includes a frame body, an outer screen and an inner screen that are placed within the frame body, and a windstop member that is provided on the underside of the upper frame (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The windstop member is provided above the joint between the outer screen and the inner screen, in the part of the underside of the upper frame through which the outer screen and the inner screen pass.

The windstop member is made of multiple resin fins (plate-shaped materials) that are thick in the direction of movement of the outer and inner screens and are arranged at intervals in the direction of movement of the outer and inner screens. The multiple fins of the windstop member have slit-like cuts that run from midway up and down to the bottom end to allow the outer and inner screens to pass easily when opening and closing.

The multiple fins of the windstop member are easily knocked over and turned up by the outer and inner screens through the slits when the outer and inner screens move. This can cause air leakage through the slits in the fins, which can affect the airtightness of the windstop member. Therefore, there is a demand for a windstop member that can prevent a decrease in airtightness.

The present disclosure aims to provide a fixture equipped with a wind-stopping member that can suppress a decrease in airtightness performance.

The present disclosure relates to a fitting comprising a frame body having an upper frame, an outer screen and an inner screen arranged so as to be movable laterally within the frame body, and a wind-stopping member arranged on the underside of the upper frame above the joint between the outer screen and the inner screen in a portion through which the outer screen and the inner screen pass, the wind-stopping member having a resin plate-like material that extends in the indoor/outdoor direction and in the vertical direction and is formed with a thickness in the direction in which the outer screen and the inner screen move, the plate-like material having a cuttable line that extends in the vertical direction to the lower end and is uncut when not in use and that is cut when the outer screen or the inner screen passes through.

The wind stop member 6 will now be described. As shown in Figures 4 to 7, the wind stop member 6 is arranged on the underside of the upper frame 21. The wind stop member 6 is arranged on the underside of the upper frame 21 above the joint 10 between the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4. As shown in Figures 6 and 7, the wind stop member 6 is arranged between the outer rail 211 and the inner rail 212 that protrude downward from the upper frame 21, and is arranged over a predetermined range in the direction of movement (left-right direction) of the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4.

As shown in Figures 8 to 10, the wind stopper member 6 has an upper plate portion 61 that is fixed to the underside of the upper frame 21, and a number of fin portions 62 (plate-shaped members) that are arranged to hang down from the underside of the upper plate portion 61.

The multiple fin portions 62 are each formed from a thin plate-like material whose surface faces in the left-right direction (viewing direction) and are arranged side by side at intervals in the left-right direction (viewing direction). The multiple fin portions 62 are each formed from an elastic plate-like material. The multiple fin portions 62 elastically deform while contacting the upper end of the outer screen 3 and the upper end of the inner screen 4, and are arranged so that no gaps are created between the upper frame 21 and the outer screen 3, and between the upper frame 21 and the inner screen 4.

As shown in Figures 6 and 7, the fin portion 62 has a thickness in the direction of movement (left-right direction) of the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4, and extends in the indoor-outdoor direction and the up-down direction. The fin portion 62 is formed from a rectangular plate material whose length in the indoor-outdoor direction is longer than its length in the up-down direction. Each of the multiple fin portions 62 extends in the indoor-outdoor direction between the outdoor rail 211 and the indoor rail 212 of the upper frame 21.

As shown in FIG. 6, the lower ends of the multiple fins 62 extend to a position where they contact the upper end 314 of the interior side X2 of the open frame 313 that opens upward on the upper frame 31 of the outer screen 3, and the upper end 414 of the exterior side X1 of the open frame 413 that opens upward on the upper frame 41 of the inner screen 4.

As a result, when the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 are in the closed position, as shown in FIG. 6, in the portion of the multiple fin portions 62 where the outer screen 3 or the inner screen 4 is located, the outside X1 portion abuts against the inside X2 portion of the upper end of the outer meeting frame 34 of the outer screen 3, and the inside X2 portion abuts against the outside X1 portion of the upper end of the inner meeting frame 44 of the inner screen 4.

As shown in Figures 8 to 10, grooves 621, 622 (cuttable lines) are formed on one or the other surface of the multiple fin portions 62. The grooves 621, 622 are formed in the shape of lines extending in the vertical direction that allow cutting. The grooves 621, 622 are formed recessed in the thickness direction from the surface of the fin portion 62 and extend in the vertical direction from midway up to the bottom end. The grooves 621, 622 are uncut when not in use and are cut when the outer screen 3 or inner screen 4 passes through. In this embodiment, the groove 621 is recessed in a triangular shape from the surface in a cross-sectional view as shown in Figure 10.

Two one-surface grooves 621 are formed on one side of the four fin sections 62a arranged on one side in the left-right direction (the left side in Figures 7 and 10, the front left side in Figure 8, and the rear left side in Figure 9) of the multiple fin sections 62, and no grooves are formed on the other side in the left-right direction.

The two one-side grooves 621 are spaced apart in the indoor/outdoor direction and extend from the middle of the fin portion 62 in the vertical direction to the lower end. The groove 621a (first cuttable line) on the outside X1 of the two one-side grooves 621 is formed in a position in the indoor/outdoor direction where it will be cut when the upper end of the outer screen 3 passes through the lower end of the fin portion 62. The groove 621b (second cuttable line) on the inside X2 of the two one-side grooves 621 is formed in a position in the indoor/outdoor direction where it will be cut when the upper end of the inner screen 4 passes through the lower end of the fin portion 62.

Two other-surface grooves 622 are formed on the other surface of the four fin portions 62b arranged on the other side in the left-right direction of the multiple fin portions 62 (the right side in Figures 7 and 10, the rear right side in Figure 8, and the front right side in Figure 9), and no grooves are formed on the surface on one side in the left-right direction.

The two other-side grooves 622 are spaced apart in the indoor/outdoor direction and extend from the middle of the fin portion 62 in the vertical direction to the lower end. The groove 622a (first groove) on the outside X1 of the two other-side grooves 622 is formed in a position in the indoor/outdoor direction where it is cut when the upper end of the outer screen 3 passes through the lower end of the fin portion 62. The groove 622b (second groove) on the inside X2 of the two other-side grooves 622 is formed in a position in the indoor/outdoor direction where it is cut when the upper end of the inner screen 4 passes through the lower end of the fin portion 62.

In the windstop member 6 configured as above, when the outer screen 3 or the inner screen 4 passes through, the grooves 621 and 622 are cut only at the portion where the outer screen 3 or the inner screen 4 passes through. Specifically, in the vertical direction of the fin portion 62, the grooves 621 and 622 are cut upward by a predetermined length from the lower end only at the portion where the outer screen 3 or the inner screen 4 passes through. Also, in the horizontal direction in which the multiple fin portions 62 are arranged side by side, the grooves 621 and 622 are cut only at the grooves 621 and 622 formed in the fin portion 62 arranged in the range where the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 pass through in the horizontal direction. Therefore, the grooves 621 and 622 are cut only at the portion where the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 pass through, and are not cut at other portions. Therefore, the windstop member 6 of this embodiment can improve the airtightness performance more than a conventional windstop member having multiple fin portions with cut slits.

Furthermore, even if there is a dimensional error or assembly error in the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4, the grooves 621, 622 are cut only in the portion through which the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 have passed, depending on the positional relationship due to the dimensional error or assembly error of the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4. Also, since the height position of the screen (outer screen 3 and inner screen 4) varies depending on the degree of fitting adjustment of the screen (outer screen 3 and inner screen 4), the conventional wind stopper member has a slit in the fin portion up to the upper limit of the height position of the screen (outer screen 3 and inner screen 4) or a position with a little more margin, and air leakage occurs from that portion. In contrast, the fin portion 62 of the wind stopper member 6 of this embodiment does not cut the grooves 621, 622 except in the portion through which the screen (outer screen 3 or inner screen 4) has passed, and no slit is made in the fin portion 62. Therefore, the windstop member 6 of this embodiment can improve airtightness compared to conventional windstop members that have multiple fins with cut slits.

According to this embodiment, the following effects are achieved. The sliding window 1 of this embodiment comprises a frame body 2 having an upper frame 21, an outer screen 3 and an inner screen 4 arranged so as to be movable in the left-right direction within the frame body 2, and a wind stop member 6 arranged on the underside of the upper frame 21 above the joint 10 between the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 at the portion through which the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 pass. The wind stop member 6 has a resin fin portion 62 that extends in the indoor/outdoor direction and in the vertical direction and is formed with a thickness in the direction in which the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 move. The fin portion 62 has grooves 621, 622 that extend in the vertical direction to the lower end and are uncut when not in use, and are cut when the outer screen 3 or the inner screen 4 passes through.

Therefore, the grooves 621, 622 are cut only at the points where the outer screen 3 and inner screen 4 pass through, and are not cut at other points. Therefore, the wind stopper member 6 of this embodiment can improve the airtightness performance compared to a conventional wind stopper member having multiple fin portions with cut slits.

In addition, in this embodiment, the grooves 621, 622 have grooves 621a, 622a that are cut when the upper end of the outer screen 3 passes through the lower end of the fin portion 62, and grooves 621b, 622b that are cut when the upper end of the inner screen 4 passes through the lower end of the fin portion 62.

Therefore, the grooves 621a, 622a, 621b, and 622b are cut in the areas where the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 pass through. As a result, in the range where the outer screen 3 passes through, the grooves 621a and 622a are cut only in the range where the outer screen 3 passes through, and in the range where the inner screen 4 passes through, the grooves 621b and 622b are cut only in the range where the inner screen 4 passes through. Therefore, the grooves 621a, 622a, 621b, and 622b are cut according to the individual ranges where the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 pass through, which further improves the airtightness performance.

In addition, in this embodiment, the grooves 621, 622 are formed only on one surface of the fin portion 62. This makes it easy to manufacture the fin portion 62 with the grooves 621, 622 formed therein.

Although a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure has been described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment and can be modified as appropriate.

In the above embodiment, the cuttable line is configured by a groove formed on only one side or only the other side of the fin portion 62 (plate member), but is not limited to this. The cuttable line may be configured, for example, by a double-sided groove formed on both one side and the other side of the fin portion 62 (plate member), or may be configured by a perforation.

In the above embodiment, the fin portion (plate-shaped portion) is provided with two grooves, and the grooves that are cut when the outer screen 3 or the inner screen 4 pass through are separate, but this is not limited to the above. For example, instead of the two grooves formed in the fin portion 62 (plate-shaped material) in the above embodiment, the fin portion (plate-shaped portion) may be provided with a single groove that combines the two grooves in the middle position between the two grooves in the above embodiment, and the single groove that is cut when the outer screen 3 and the inner screen 4 pass through may be provided with a single common groove.
