Description

The present invention relates to a sleeve-type package, and more specifically to a sleeve-type package that can hold a flanged container with a flange around the periphery of the opening, filled with desserts, and sealed in place, without allowing the flanged container to fall out.

Conventionally, sleeve-type packages have been used to package flanged containers, such as cup-shaped containers, filled and sealed with desserts such as yogurt, puddings, and various jellies. Sleeve-type packages can protect products from external pressure received when the product is dropped, and can increase sales promotion effects by displaying information and designs on the sleeve-type package used to package the product. Furthermore, because the sleeve exposes the sides of the flanged container, this package gives consumers a sense of security.

In such sleeve-type packages, for example, a cut line is provided at the corner where the top plate and side plate meet, and the flange of the cup container is inserted and held in a flange insertion groove formed by bending the side plate (see, for example, Patent Document 1). However, when the product is turned on its side, sometimes the flange of the cup container comes out of the flange insertion groove of the sleeve-type package, causing the cup container to fall out.

The present invention was made to solve the above problems, and its purpose is to provide a sleeve-type package that can package flanged containers and hold the packaged flanged containers without them falling out.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention, as described in claim 1, is a sleeve-type package made of a sheet of paperboard for packaging a flanged container, the sleeve-type package having a top panel covering the top surface of the flanged container, side panels covering the sides, and a bottom panel covering the bottom surface, one of the side panels being folded to provide an insertion notch for inserting the flange of the flanged container, and the other side panel being provided at the lower end with a retaining panel having a fixed portion overlapping the top panel side of the bottom panel and a movable portion connected to the fixed portion, the movable portion of the retaining panel being provided with a notch for holding the lower portion of the flanged container by folding the movable portion.

The sleeve-type package of the present invention can package flanged containers and hold the packaged flanged containers in place without them falling out.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings.

Figure 1 is a development of a blank showing an example of a sleeve-type package according to the present invention, and Figure 4 is a plan view and a cross-sectional view showing a flanged container held in the sleeve-type package according to the present invention. The flanged container that is the subject of the sleeve-type package of the present invention consists of a plastic or paper container body and a lid, and the container body has a bottom, sides rising from the periphery of the bottom, an upper opening, and a flange facing outward from the periphery of the upper opening. The container body is filled with contents such as food, and is covered with a lid made of a laminate film with sealing properties, and the laminate film is sealed to the flange of the container body.

The blank 1 shown in Figure 1 is assembled into a sleeve-type package P, which is used to hold a flanged container V, as shown in Figure 4. The blank 1 is made of a single sheet of paperboard printed with a product description, design, etc., and is formed by punching it into a specified shape and size.

The blank 1 shown in FIG. 1 is made up of a bottom panel 11, a side panel 12, a top panel 13, a side panel 14, and a retaining panel 15, which are connected from the top via fold lines a, b, c, and d. The retaining panel 15 has a fixed portion 16 and a movable portion 17 connected via fold line e, and the fixed portion 16 is connected to the side panel 14 via fold line d.

When the sleeve-type package P is assembled, the fixed portion 16 of the retaining panel 15 is laminated to the bottom panel 11 and fixed with adhesive. The movable portion 17 has an arch-shaped cutout 17a at the center on the left and right sides, with the chord portion positioned above the fold line e. The cutout 17a is formed so that the lower portion of the container body of the flanged container V can be inserted into it. As will be described later, the portion of the movable portion 17 other than that connected to the fixed portion 16 is a free end, and it can be moved around the fold line e as a rotation axis.

A roughly U-shaped insertion notch 18 is provided in the center of fold line b where side panel 12 and top panel 13 are connected, into which part of the flange Vf is inserted when the flanged container V is packaged. The closed U-shaped portion of insertion notch 18 extends slightly toward the side panel 12, and the left and right leg portions extend slightly into the top panel 13. Fold line e is divided by insertion notch 18, and fold line e does not exist in the area surrounded by the U-shaped notch of insertion notch 18.

Next, the assembly of the sleeve-type package P will be described. The sleeve-type package P is assembled by folding the blank 1 shown in FIG. 1 along fold lines a, b, c, d, and e. First, the movable part 17 is folded along fold line e and placed on the fixed part 16. The side panel 14 and the fixed part 16 are then folded integrally along fold line c, and the movable part 17 and the side panel 14 are placed on the top panel 13. Next, the bottom panel 11 is folded along fold line a and placed on the fixed part 16 and top panel 13. The inner surface of the bottom panel 11 and the outer surface of the fixed part 16 are bonded together with an adhesive or the like, completing the folded sleeve-type package (not shown).

When the folded sleeve-type package is pushed inward along fold lines a and c so that they approach each other, the side panel 12 and top panel 13 are folded along fold line b, and the side panel 14 and bottom panel 11 are folded along fold line d, and the box is raised from the folded state to complete the sleeve-type package P. Figure 2 shows this state, with (a) being a perspective view and (b) being a side view, and in Figure 2 (b) the front and back of the paper surface are open to form the square cylindrical sleeve-type package P.

When erecting the box, the area surrounded by the insertion notches 18 is located on the same plane as the top panel 13, and the U-shaped portion protrudes slightly outward. The portion where the insertion notches 18 protrude into the side panel 12 forms a strip-shaped insertion opening 12a in the side panel 12.

When the box is erected as shown in Figure 2, the free end of the movable part 17 of the holding panel 15 rises from its folded state due to the rigidity of the paper, with the fold line e as the axis, forming an inclined surface.

Next, a method for packaging a flanged container V with a sleeve-type package P according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 3. FIG. 3 is a side view. First, a sleeve-type package P and a flanged container V, which are raised as shown in FIG. 3(A), are prepared. The flanged container V consists of a plastic or paper container body and a lid. The container body has a bottom surface Vb, a side surface Vs rising from the periphery of the bottom surface Vb, an upper opening, and a flange Vf facing outward from the periphery of the upper opening. The container body is filled with contents such as food, and is covered with a lid made of a laminate film with sealing properties. The top surface Vt is formed by sealing the laminate film constituting the lid to the flange Vf of the container body.

The flanged container V is slid and inserted into the sleeve-type package P while applying pressure to the movable part 17, which has become a rising inclined surface due to the box-raising process, so that it overlaps with the fixed part 16. When the sliding insertion begins, the movable part 17 is pressed only by the weight of the flanged container V. When the sliding insertion continues and the flanged container V reaches the position of the notch part 17a (see FIG. 2), the pressure on the movable part 17 is released, the container body of the flanged container V is fitted into the notch part 17a, and the movable part 17 is inclined. In addition, a part of the flange Vf is inserted into the insertion port 12a (see FIG. 2). The movable part 17 is swung toward the top panel 13 with the folding line e as an axis due to the repulsive force caused by the rigidity of the paperboard, and as a result, the movable part 17 exerts a force that pushes the flanged container V in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in FIG. 3 (c), and the flanged container V is pressed against the side panel 12 (locking effect). Therefore, the flanged container V can be held without falling out of the sleeve-type package P.

For the paperboard of the sleeve-type package P, thick paper such as coated cardboard, uncoated cardboard, or kraft cardboard can be used, and the basis weight is 200 g/ ^m2 or more and 400 g/ ^m2 or less. Also, in order to improve the aesthetic appeal of the sleeve-type package P, metallized paper with aluminum vapor-deposited on the paperboard can be used. If the basis weight is less than 200 g/ ^m2 , the repulsive force of the movable part 17 decreases, resulting in an insufficient locking effect. Furthermore, when it is desired to impart high design appeal, a plastic film such as polyethylene terephthalate or such a film vapor-deposited with aluminum may be laminated to the paperboard.

Figure 4 shows a flanged container V held in a sleeve-type package P according to the present invention, with (A) being a plan view and (B) being a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A. In a package in which a flanged container V is packaged in a sleeve-type package P, the top surface Vt of the flanged container V is covered by a top panel 13, the side surface Vs is covered by opposing side panels 12 and 14, and the bottom surface Vb is covered by a bottom panel 11. The opposing side surface Vs perpendicular to the direction in which the covered side surfaces Vs face is exposed. Note that although a circular cup container is shown as an example of the flanged container V, it is not limited to being circular and may be elliptical.

The top surface Vt of the flanged container V is covered with a generally circular lid with a knob that bulges outward, and the flanged container V is stored so that the knob is positioned in the direction of the opening of the sleeve-type package P. Regarding the side panels 12 and 14 of the flanged container V, the container body of the flanged container V on the side panel 14 side is fitted into the notch 17a provided in the movable part 17. On the side panel 12 side, the flange Vf is inserted into the insertion port 12a, and the flanged container V is pushed in the direction indicated by the arrow by the repulsive force of the movable part 17 trying to rise, and the flanged container V is held in a fixed state by the notch 17a, the insertion port 12a, and the movable part 17, so that the flanged container V can be prevented from falling out of the sleeve-type package P even if the product is turned sideways.

The embodiments described so far are representative of the sleeve-type package of the present invention, but the sleeve-type package of the present invention is not limited to these and includes any other package that does not deviate from the spirit of the present invention. As long as the flanged container V has a flange, the container body and the lid may be separate members. It may also be a molded product in which the container body and the lid are integrated via a hinge, for example. The contents stored in the flanged container may include dessert foods such as yogurt, pudding, and various jellies, as well as disposable contact lenses, household goods, etc.

Claims (1)

A sleeve-type package made of a sheet of paperboard for packaging a flanged container, comprising:
A top panel that covers a top surface of the flanged container;
A side panel covering the side surface;
A bottom panel covering the bottom surface,
By folding one of the side panels, an insertion notch for inserting the flange of the flanged container is provided,
A retaining panel is provided at the lower end of the other side panel, the retaining panel including a fixed portion that is overlapped with the top panel side of the bottom panel and a movable portion that is connected to the fixed portion;
