Description

The present invention relates to a water stop device that can be installed at entrances to buildings such as houses and apartment buildings, and at gates to external structures around the premises.

Water-stopping materials have traditionally been used to prevent water from entering buildings such as houses, condominiums, and offices due to localized flooding caused by river floods or heavy rain, and to prevent water from entering through entrances to subways and underground passages.

There are various types of water-stopping materials, including traditional methods such as sandbags, which are bags filled with soil, as well as water-stopping plates and sheets.

For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a waterproof board in which divided panel materials are stacked one above the other and connected to each other to form a desired height, in which a protrusion is formed on the front end of the upper surface of the lower panel material, and a groove that fits into the protrusion is formed on the front end of the lower surface of the upper panel material, and the upper panel material is fitted into the lower panel material, and an engagement piece on the rear surface of the upper panel material engages with a locking piece on the rear surface of the lower panel material to connect and fix the upper and lower panel materials.

The waterproof board allows the panels to be directly connected to each other, reducing the number of parts and making assembly easy and quick. On the other hand, under normal circumstances, it is necessary to disassemble the waterproof board to secure a place to store the panel materials, and so there is a risk that the protrusions, locking pieces, engaging pieces, etc. at the connection points between the panel materials may be deformed or damaged during storage, during storage, and when the waterproof board is assembled, which could cause problems in connecting the panel materials to each other. In addition, it is necessary to maintain watertightness between the bottom end of the panel material and the floor surface, and in cases where a groove for accommodating the bottom end of the panel is provided in the floor surface, if the waterproof board is not used, the groove must be blocked, which could increase the number of parts other than the waterproof board.

The present invention provides a water stop device that solves the above problems, makes it easy to ensure a watertight state between the water stop device and the installation surface even if the installation surface does not have a groove or the like, and can be used as a bench or deck when not in use as a water stop device.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has the following configuration.
In other words, the water stop device of the present invention is a water stop device that can be placed in front of the entrance of an installation object, and comprises a water stop plate portion that is arranged across the width of the entrance, an elastic sheet material attached to the lower part of the water stop plate portion, a base portion that is fixed to the rear side of the water stop plate portion, and foldable legs attached to the base portion, and is characterized in that the water stop plate portion has a vertical plate portion that is arranged in a vertical plate shape, and is arranged so that the legs in the open state can be erected on the installation surface with the outer surface of the vertical plate portion of the water stop plate portion facing upwards.

In the present invention, the water stop plate portion includes a vertical plate portion facing the entrance, a horizontal plate portion formed from the lower end of the vertical plate portion toward the front, and a lower plate portion formed from the tip of the horizontal plate portion toward the bottom, and at least a part of the elastic sheet material may be disposed on the lower end of the lower plate portion.

When the water level outside the installed object rises due to flooding or other reasons, the water pressure of the water stop device of the present invention presses against the installation surface from the water stop plate through the elastic sheet material, making it difficult for water to seep in between the water stop plate and the installation surface, and under normal circumstances, if the legs are open, the water stop plate can be used as a bench or deck with the seat.

In the present invention, the water stop plate comprises a vertical plate portion facing the entrance, a horizontal plate portion formed from the lower end of the vertical plate portion toward the front, and a lower plate portion formed from the tip of the horizontal plate portion toward the bottom. If at least a part of the elastic sheet material is disposed at the lower end of the lower plate portion, when the water invades, a load is applied to the elastic sheet material from the horizontal plate portion through the lower plate portion due to water pressure, which acts biased toward the front side of the elastic sheet material, making it even more difficult for water to penetrate between the elastic sheet material and the installation surface.

Next, the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the drawings.

In the drawings, 10 is a water stop plate, 20 is a base fixed to the installed object relative to the water stop plate 10, 30 is a leg attached to the base 20 in a foldable manner, and 40 is a pair of side plates arranged on both sides of the water stop plate 10. The water stop device 100 of the present invention comprises the water stop plate 10, the base 20, the leg 30, and the side plate 40, and is placed at the entrance of the installed object to prevent water from entering the installed object when there is a risk of the installed object becoming flooded due to rainfall, etc., and is normally used as a bench or deck with the leg 30 open and the water stop plate 10 as a seat.

Figure 1 is an explanatory diagram showing one embodiment of a water stop device 100 according to the present invention, where (a) is a plan view, (b) is a front view, and (c) is a side view. Also, Figure 2 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of line A-A in Figure 1. The water stop plate portion 10 is arranged across the width of the entrance of the installation, specifically, the entrance of a building or the gate of the exterior of the site, and when arranged, it has a predetermined height from the ground. Although it is preferable that the water stop plate portion 10 is high, considering the possibility of water entering from other parts of the installation, making it extremely high is not necessarily effective, and 400 to 800 mm is preferable, and in this embodiment, it is about 600 mm. Here, the left-right direction, up-down direction, and front-back direction of the water stop device 100 are the same directions as the left-right direction, up-down direction, and front-back direction shown in Figure 1 unless otherwise specified, and the following explanation will be based on this.

As shown in FIG. 2, the water stop plate portion 10 has a vertical plate portion 11 that faces the entrance/exit of the installation, a horizontal plate portion 12 that is formed from the lower end of the vertical plate portion 11 toward the front, and a lower plate portion 13 that is formed from the front side of the horizontal plate portion 12 toward the bottom.

In this embodiment, the water stop plate portion 10 is formed by combining multiple members whose longitudinal direction is the left-right direction. Specifically, it is formed by combining multiple plate-shaped members 50 and fan-shaped members 60 whose cross sections are fan-shaped.

Figure 3 is an enlarged view of the plate-like member 50 in Figure 2, and Figure 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the engagement structure between the plate-like members 50 in Figure 2. The plate-like member 50 has steps 51, 51 at the top and bottom ends. The step 51 at the top end has a recess 52 on the front side and a protrusion 53 on the rear side, and the step 51 at the bottom end has a recess 52 on the rear side and a protrusion 53 on the front side.

As a result, as shown in Figure 4, the plate-like members 50, 50 can be arranged vertically in succession by arranging the plate-like members 50, 50 one above the other and engaging the convex portion 53 on one side with the concave portion 52 on the other side at the opposing step portions 51, 51. In this embodiment, as shown in Figure 3, three plate-like members 50 are arranged vertically in succession to form the vertical plate portion 11 of the water stop plate portion 10.

Figure 5 is an enlarged view of the sector member 60 in Figure 2, and Figure 6 is an explanatory diagram showing the engagement structure between the plate member 50 and sector member 60 in Figure 2. The sector member 60 has a sector-shaped cross section with a central angle of approximately 90 degrees, and both ends of the sector shape have steps 61, 61 with a recess 62 on the central angle side and a protrusion 63 on the opposite side. In this embodiment, as shown in Figure 6, one sector member 60 has a recess 62 and a protrusion 63 of a step 61 engaged with a protrusion 53 and a recess 52 of a step 51 of the bottommost plate member 50 that are arranged continuously in the vertical direction. As a result, the formation direction of the water stop plate portion 10 is changed from the vertical direction to the forward direction as shown in Figure 2.

Figure 7 is an explanatory diagram showing the engagement structure between the sector-shaped members 60 in Figure 2. As shown in Figure 7, on the front side of the sector-shaped member 60 that engages with the lowest plate-like member 50, a sector-shaped member 60 of the same shape engages with the convex portion 63 of one of the steps 61, 61 in the concave portion 62 of the other. As a result, the formation direction of the waterstop plate portion 10 is changed from the front direction to the downward direction, and these two sector-shaped members 60 form the side plate portion 12 and the lower plate portion 13 of the waterstop plate portion 10.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the step 51 of the topmost plate-shaped member 50 is engaged with the step 61 of another fan-shaped member 60, which is arranged in succession in the vertical direction.

In this embodiment, the plate-shaped member 50 and the sector-shaped member 60 are both hollow aluminum alloy members whose surfaces are coated with synthetic resin, but this is not particularly limited to this embodiment. Also, in Figures 4, 6, and 7, when the plate-shaped members 50 engage with each other, when the plate-shaped members 50 engage with the sector-shaped members 60, and when the sector-shaped members 60 engage with each other, a packing may be placed between the members.

Figure 8 is a rear view of Figure 1. The base section 20 is disposed behind the waterstop section 10. In this embodiment, it has upper horizontal members 21 and lower horizontal members 22 spaced apart in the vertical direction, and vertical members 23 spaced apart in the width direction, and the upper horizontal members 21 and lower horizontal members 22 are joined to the vertical members 23. To explain in more detail, the upper horizontal member 21 and lower horizontal member 22 and the two vertical members 23 located on both sides form a rectangular outer shape. The remaining two vertical members 23 are disposed between the two vertical members 23 on both sides.

As shown in FIG. 2, the lower cross member 22 of the base portion 20 is disposed forward of the upper cross member 21. The bottom plate member 24 is disposed behind the lower cross member 22 and below the upper cross member 21. The vertical members 23 are disposed between the lower surface of the upper cross member 21 and the upper surface of the bottom plate member 24, and are joined to the upper cross member 21, the bottom plate member 24, and the lower cross member 22, respectively.

The positional relationship between the waterstop 10 and the base 20 is such that the upper horizontal member 21 and the vertical member 23 of the base 20 are located behind the vertical member 11 of the waterstop 10, and the lower horizontal member 22 of the base 20 is located below the horizontal member 12. In other words, the horizontal member 12 is placed on the lower horizontal member 22, and the upper horizontal member 21 and the vertical member 23 support the vertical member 11 from the rear.

The water stop portion 10 and the base portion 20 are connected by the side plate portion 40. As shown in FIG. 1, the side plate portion 40 is disposed at both the left and right ends of the water stop portion 10 and the base portion 20, and is fastened to each of the water stop portion 10 and the base portion 20 by fastening members.

Specific fastening methods include screwing 41 as fastening members into screw holes 54, 64 formed along the longitudinal direction of the plate-shaped member 50 and the sector-shaped member 60 from through holes (not shown) penetrating the side plate portion 40 in the left-right direction, and screw holes (not shown) formed in the vertical members 23 at both ends of the base portion 20. (c) of FIG. 1 shows the fastening position of the screw 41. As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 5, a plurality of screw holes 54 and screw holes 64 are formed for each plate-shaped member 50 and sector-shaped member 60, and they can be selected and used as appropriate. Although not shown, tapping screws may be screwed from the water stop portion 10 toward the base portion 20 to fasten the water stop portion 10 and the base portion 20.

Furthermore, in this embodiment, an elastically deformable elastic sheet material 71 is arranged between the side plate portion 40 and the water stop plate portion 10 and the base portion 20, which makes it possible to prevent water from entering between the side plate portion 40 and the water stop plate portion 10 and the base portion 20.

Next, the water stop structure of the water stop device 100 with respect to the installation surface side of the installation location will be described. As shown in FIG. 2, the water stop plate portion 10 has a spacer 14 attached to the lower end portion of the lower plate portion 13. In this embodiment, the spacer 14 is continuously disposed in front of the lower cross member 22 of the base portion 20, and the height position of the lower end face of the spacer 14 is aligned with the height position of the lower end face of the lower cross member 22. An elastically deformable elastic sheet material 72 is attached to the lower end face of the spacer 14. The elastic sheet material 72 is attached from the lower end face of the spacer 14 to the lower end face of the lower cross member 22.

As a result, assuming that after the water stop device 100 is installed, water is submerged up to the middle of the water stop device 100 in the vertical direction, the elastic sheet material 72 is placed on the installation surface, so even if the installation surface is uneven, a downward load is applied by the weight of the water stop device 100, and the elastic sheet material 72 elastically deforms to absorb the unevenness and is pressed against the installation surface, so that water can be prevented from entering between the installation surface and the elastic sheet material 72 when water is submerged.

In addition, water pressure is generated downwards due to water infiltration on the side plate portion 12 and the lower plate portion 13 of the water stop plate portion 10, so the elastic sheet material 72 and the elastic sheet material 72 press more strongly against the installation surface. In this embodiment, the lower plate portion 13 to which the spacer 14 is attached has a fan-shaped member 60 attached, and the fan-shaped member 60 is located above the front side of the spacer 14, so a gap S is formed between the rear side of the spacer 14 and the fan-shaped member 60. Therefore, the load applied to the lower plate portion 13 acts biasedly on the front side of the spacer 14, so that the front side of the elastic sheet material 72 is easily pressed against the installation surface through the spacer 14, and water infiltration can be further suppressed. In other words, if water infiltrates from the front side of the elastic sheet material 72, the upper part of the water stop plate portion 10 is easily loaded in the direction of falling toward the installation object, which promotes water infiltration from the installation surface side, but this embodiment can suppress this.

In this embodiment, the spacer 14 is also elastically deformable, so the load applied to the lower plate portion 13 is more likely to be applied to the elastic sheet material 72 located below it through the spacer 14, making it easier for the front side of the elastic sheet material 72 to be pressed against the installation surface, further preventing water intrusion.

In addition, in this embodiment, as shown in Figures 2 and 8, an elastically deformable elastic sheet material 73 is attached to the underside of the bottom plate material 24 of the base portion 20, so that unevenness on the ground side can be absorbed and water can be prevented from entering between the front side and the left and right side sides of the water stop device 100 and the installation surface.

Next, the water-stopping structure with respect to the installation object (e.g., entrance) side of the installation location will be described. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, an elastic sheet material 74 having elasticity is attached to the rear side of the base part 20. Specifically, the elastic sheet material 74 having elasticity is attached to the vertical members 23, 23 and the upper horizontal member 21 on both ends of the base part 20 in the vertical direction of the surface on the installation object side. If the water-stopping device 100 is installed so that the elastic sheet material 74 abuts against the installation object (e.g., a gatepost), when water ingress occurs, the water pressure is applied from the water-stopping plate part 10 through the base part 20 to the elastic sheet material 74, which tends to press against the installation object, making it difficult for water to seep in between the elastic sheet material 74 and the installation object.

Figure 9 is an explanatory diagram of the leg 30 in Figure 2, where (a) shows the leg 30 in a closed state and (b) shows the leg 30 in an open state. As shown in Figures 8 and 9, the leg 30 is attached to the base 20. In this embodiment, the leg 30 is attached to the two inner vertical members 23 of the four vertical members 23 of the base 20 in pairs, one above the other. Specifically, the leg 30 is fixed to the vertical members 23 via connecting fittings 31, and can be changed in position between a folded position along the longitudinal direction of the vertical members 23 with the connecting fittings 31 as an axis, as shown by the arrow, and an open position in which the tip of the leg 30 faces backward.

Figure 10 is a side view showing another state of use of the water stop device 100 of Figure 1. In the pair of upper and lower legs 30, the lower leg 30 is designed so that the height position of the lower surface of the elastic sheet material 73 of the base plate material 24 matches when in the open position. In other words, the elastic sheet material 75 is attached to the lower leg 30 in a position that becomes the lower surface side when in the open position. As a result, when using the water stop device 100, if the lower leg 30 is used in the open position and does not interfere with the installed object, the water stop device 100 is less likely to tip over toward the installed object.

Figure 11 is a side view showing yet another state of use of the water stop device 100 of Figure 1. The water stop device 100 can be used as a bench or deck by changing the legs 30 to the open position, tilting the water stop device 100, and standing it up on the installation surface with the four legs 30. When using it for water stop again, simply change the legs 30 to the folded position. There are no particular limitations on the legs 30, as long as they are attached so that they can be opened and closed.
