Description

The present invention relates to a help association management device, a help association management method, and a help association management program.

Patent document 1 discloses a configuration in which, when the occurrence of an event such as an error is detected while a personal computer is being used by a user, search keywords related to the event are generated, the search keywords are searched for in multiple search engines, and the search results are presented to the user as solutions for dealing with the event.

However, the invention described in Patent Document 1 above has a configuration in which search results are obtained from sites such as bulletin boards and question sites, and therefore there is a problem in that information posted by malicious posters, the veracity of which is unknown, is presented to the user as a solution for dealing with an event.

The present invention has been made in consideration of the above problems, and aims to provide a help linking management device, a help linking management method, and a help linking management program that can link help to items and events on the screen in advance and manage them.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems and achieve the object, the help linking management device according to the present invention is a help linking management device having a storage unit and a control unit, the storage unit having an article storage means for storing help articles, and the control unit having an event identification means for identifying an event to link the help to, a help event acquisition means for acquiring help event data in which a job ID indicating which job will launch the help linked to the event and an event type indicating when the help will be launched are set, an article acquisition means for acquiring the help article to be linked to the event, a help event management registration means for registering the help event data as a record in a help event management master, and a help article linking registration means for acquiring help article linking data in which an article type indicating the type of the article acquired by the article acquisition means and a header ID indicating the article to be displayed are set, linking the help article linking data to a record in the help event management master, and registering the help article linking data as a record in the help article linking master.

In the help linking management device according to the present invention, the control unit further includes an article display means for identifying a record in the help event management master that matches the event when the event occurs, and identifying a record in the help article linking master that is linked to the record in the help event management master, thereby displaying the help article related to the timing of the event occurrence.

In the help linking management device according to the present invention, the help event acquisition means acquires the help event data in which, when the event is an item input, the job ID indicating which job will launch the help linked to the event, the event type indicating at what timing the help will be launched, and a control ID indicating which item the help will be launched to control are set.

According to the present invention, by linking help with items and events on the screen, it is possible to present necessary information at the necessary timing. The embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to this embodiment.

[1. Overview]
First, an overview of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 1 to Fig. 3. Fig. 1 is a diagram showing an example of a conventional job solving process. Figs. 2 and 3 are diagrams showing an example of a help linking management process in this embodiment.

Previously, when an error occurred while using a computer, the message that was displayed did not provide specific information, and the user was not effectively guided to the next action. As a result, previously, if a user did not know what to do next, they had to go and gather the information themselves. Also, previously, all the necessary data had to be created manually, and a setting error could mean that the necessary data could not be created.

For example, as shown in Figure 1, in the past, if a user wanted to know about each order category during the order input process, the user had to solve the problem by searching for the desired information from among many documents.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, if a user wants to know about each order category during the order input process, the user can solve the problem by simply clicking on the help linked to the order category in advance and following the instructions. That is, as shown in FIG. 3, in this embodiment, help can be linked to items and events on the screen (when an error occurs, when started, etc.), and linking management is possible so that the specified help is displayed at the time desired by the user. This makes it possible for the user to view the specified help from among many help sources at the specified time, eliminating the need for the viewer to search for the help they want to view.

2. Configuration
An example of the configuration of the help association management device 100 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5. Fig. 4 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the help association management device 100 according to this embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 4, the help association management device 100 is a commercially available desktop personal computer. Note that the help association management device 100 is not limited to a stationary information processing device such as a desktop personal computer, and may be a portable information processing device such as a commercially available notebook personal computer, PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), smartphone, or tablet personal computer.

The help linking management device 100 includes a control unit 102, a communication interface unit 104, a memory unit 106, and an input/output interface unit 108. Each unit included in the help linking management device 100 is connected to each other so as to be able to communicate with each other via any communication path.

The communication interface unit 104 communicatively connects the help linking management device 100 to the network 300 via a communication device such as a router and a wired or wireless communication line such as a dedicated line. The communication interface unit 104 has a function of communicating data with other devices via the communication line. Here, the network 300 has a function of connecting the help linking management device 100 and the PC 201 so that they can communicate with each other, and is, for example, the Internet or a LAN (Local Area Network).

The storage unit 106 stores various databases, tables, files, and the like. The storage unit 106 records computer programs that work with the OS (Operating System) to give commands to the CPU (Central Processing Unit) to perform various processes. The storage unit 106 can be, for example, a memory device such as a RAM (Random Access Memory) or a ROM (Read Only Memory), a fixed disk device such as a hard disk, a flexible disk, or an optical disk. The storage unit 106 includes a help event management master 106a, a help article linking master 106b, an article database 106c, and a viewing authority master 106d.

The help event management master 106a is a master that is set by linking a job ID indicating which job will launch help, an event type indicating when help will be launched, and/or a control ID indicating which item help will be launched to control. Here, the help event management master 106a may be set by linking a key that identifies a record, a job ID, an event type, a control ID, and/or a message CD (code) indicating a message when help is launched.

The help article linking master 106b is a master that links and sets an article type (system KBN) that indicates the type of help article, and a header ID that indicates the article to be displayed. In this way, the help article linking master 106b may manage which help article is displayed in which event of which job.

The article database 106c stores articles. Here, the article database 106c may store help articles. The article database 106c may also store an article type (SystemKBN) and/or a header ID, etc., linked to the article.

The viewing authority master 106d is a master that links and sets the user, the article type indicating the type of help article, the header ID indicating the article to be displayed, and the viewing authority for the help.

Here, an example of the master configuration in this embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 5. FIG. 5 is a diagram showing an example of the master configuration in this embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 5, in this embodiment, the help event management master 106a and the help article linking master 106b are linked using a key that identifies the master record and a parent key that indicates the linked record of another master. Here, in this embodiment, the articles displayed in the help are managed by manual or FAQ, and a unique article can be obtained by the system KBN and header ID.

Returning to FIG. 4, an input device 112 and an output device 114 are connected to the input/output interface unit 108. The output device 114 may be a monitor (including a touch panel), a speaker, or a printer. The input device 112 may be a keyboard, a mouse, a microphone, or a monitor that works with a mouse to provide a pointing device function. In the following, the output device 114 may be referred to as the monitor 114 or the printer 114, and the input device 112 may be referred to as the keyboard 112 or the mouse 112.

The control unit 102 is a CPU or the like that performs overall control of the help linking management device 100. The control unit 102 has an internal memory for storing control programs such as an OS, programs that define various processing procedures, required data, etc., and executes various information processing based on these stored programs. In terms of functional concept, the control unit 102 includes an event identification unit 102a, a help event acquisition unit 102b, an article acquisition unit 102c, a help event management registration unit 102d, a help article linking registration unit 102e, and an article display unit 102f.

The event identification unit 102a identifies an event to which help is to be linked. When an event is selected by the user, the event identification unit 102a may identify the selected event as an event to which help is to be linked.

The help event acquisition unit 102b acquires help event data. Here, the help event acquisition unit 102b may acquire help event data in which a job ID indicating which job will start help associated with the event and an event type indicating when help will be started are set. In addition, when the event is an item input, the help event acquisition unit 102b may acquire help event data in which a job ID indicating which job will start help associated with the event, an event type indicating when help will be started, and a control ID indicating which item will be controlled to start help are set. Here, the help article linking registration unit 102e acquires help article linking data in which an article type indicating the type of article acquired by the article acquisition unit 102c and a header ID indicating the article to be displayed are set, and may link the help article linking data to a record in the help event management master 106a and register the help article linking data as a record in the help article linking master 106b.

The article display unit 102f displays a help article. Here, the article display unit 102f may display a help article related to the timing of the event occurrence based on the help event management master 106a and the help article linking master 106b when an event occurs. Also, the article display unit 102f may display a help article related to the timing of the event occurrence by identifying a record in the help event management master 106a that matches the event when an event occurs and identifying a record in the help article linking master 106b that is linked to the record in the help event management master 106a. 3. Specific Examples
A specific example of this embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.

An example of the help association management process in this embodiment will now be described with reference to Fig. 6. Fig. 6 is a flow chart showing an example of the process of the help association management device 100 in this embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 6, when the user presses a button on the job screen via the input device 112 to start linking and selects which event to link, the event identification unit 102a identifies the selected event as the event to link help to (step SA-1).

If the selected event is item input (step SA-1: item), the help event acquisition unit 102b acquires help event data in which the job ID, event type = 1 (item), and control ID are set (step SA-2), and the process proceeds to step SA-5.

If the selected event results in an error (step SA-1: Error), the help event acquisition unit 102b acquires help event data in which the job ID, event type = 2 (error), control ID, and message CD are set (step SA-3), and the process proceeds to step SA-5.

In addition, if the selected event is job startup (step SA-1: startup), the help event acquisition unit 102b acquires help event data in which the job ID and event type = 3 (startup) are set (step SA-4), and transitions the process to step SA-5.

Then, the article acquisition unit 102c acquires a help article linked to the selected event from the article database 106c, or a new help article linked to the selected event (step SA-5).

Then, the help event management registration unit 102d stores the help event data acquired by the help event acquisition unit 102b as a record in the help event management master 106a (step SA-6).

Then, the help article linking registration unit 102e acquires help article linking data in which the article type indicating the type of article acquired by the article acquisition unit 102c and the header ID indicating the article to be displayed are set, links the data to a record in the help event management master 106a, and saves the help article linking data as a record in the help article linking master 106b (step SA-7), and ends the process.

Now, an example of the help linking management process in this embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 7 and 8. Figure 7 is a diagram showing an example of the help event data acquisition process in this embodiment. Figure 8 is a diagram showing an example of the help article linking data creation process in this embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 7, in this embodiment, when a user presses a button or hyperlink on the job screen or error pop-up window to select an event to which help is to be linked, if the selected event is field entry, help event data is obtained in which the job ID, event type, and control ID are set; if the event is an error occurrence, help event data is obtained in which the job ID, event type, control ID, and message CD are set; if the event is job startup, help event data is obtained in which the job ID indicating which job will start the help linked to the event and the event type indicating when the help will be started are set.

Also, as shown in FIG. 8, in this embodiment, after the help event management master data is created, a help screen is displayed on the job screen, and when the help to be linked is selected or created on the help screen, help article linking data is created.

[Paired help call processing]
An example of an association help request process in this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 9. Fig. 9 is a flow chart showing an example of a process of the help association management device 100 in this embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 9, when an event occurs, if the event is an item input, the article display unit 102f identifies (obtains) a record in the help event management master 106a with an event type of 1 (item) and a matching job ID and control ID (step SB-1: item); if the event is an error occurrence, the article display unit 102f identifies (obtains) a record in the help event management master 106a with an event type of 2 (error) and a matching job ID, control ID, and message CD (step SB-1: error); if the event is a job start, the article display unit 102f identifies (obtains) a record in the help event management master 106a with an event type of 3 (start) and a matching job ID (step SB-1: start). If the article display unit 102f cannot obtain a record (step SB-1: obtain 0 records), it suspends the processing of the job being executed. On the other hand, if the article display unit 102f can obtain a record (step SB-1: obtain 1 or more records), it shifts the processing to step SB-2.

Then, the article display unit 102f identifies (acquires) a record in the help article linking master 106b that has the key of the record in the help event management master 106a (step SB-2). If the article display unit 102f is unable to acquire a record (step SB-2: 0 records acquired), it suspends the processing of the ongoing job. On the other hand, if the article display unit 102f is able to acquire a record (step SB-2: 1 or more records acquired), it transitions the processing to step SB-3.

Then, the article display unit 102f checks the help viewing authority of the user who caused the event based on the viewing authority master 106d (step SB-3). If the article display unit 102f determines that the user does not have viewing authority (step SB-3: no authority), it suspends the processing of the job being executed. On the other hand, if the article display unit 102f determines that the user has viewing authority (step SB-3: authority), it transitions the processing to step SB-4.

Then, the article display unit 102f displays a help article related to the timing of the event occurrence on the output device 114 (step SB-4), and ends the process.

Here, an example of the linked help call process in this embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 10. FIG. 10 is a diagram showing an example of the linked help call process in this embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 10, in this embodiment, when an event occurs, a search is performed in the help event management master 106a for records that match some or all of the event type, job ID, control ID, and message CD depending on the type of event.

4. Other embodiments
The present invention may be embodied in various different embodiments other than those described above within the scope of the technical concept set forth in the claims.

For example, among the processes described in the embodiments, all or part of the processes described as being performed automatically can be performed manually, or all or part of the processes described as being performed manually can be performed automatically using a known method.

In addition, the processing procedures, control procedures, specific names, registered data for each process, information including parameters such as search conditions, screen examples, and database configurations shown in this specification and drawings may be changed as desired unless otherwise specified.

Furthermore, with regard to the help matching management device 100, each component shown in the figure is a functional concept, and does not necessarily have to be physically configured as shown in the figure.

For example, the processing functions of the help linking management device 100, particularly the processing functions performed by the control unit 102, may be realized in whole or in part by a CPU and a program interpreted and executed by the CPU, or may be realized as hardware using wired logic. The program is recorded on a non-transient computer-readable recording medium that contains programmed instructions for causing the information processing device to execute the processes described in this embodiment, and is mechanically read by the help linking management device 100 as necessary. That is, a computer program for giving instructions to the CPU in cooperation with the OS and performing various processes is recorded in a storage unit such as a ROM or HDD (Hard Disk Drive). This computer program is executed by being loaded into RAM, and cooperates with the CPU to form the control unit.

This computer program may also be stored in an application program server connected to the help association management device 100 via any network, and all or part of it may be downloaded as needed.

In addition, the program for executing the processing described in this embodiment may be stored on a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium, or may be configured as a program product.
