Description

The present invention relates to a fire-resistant coated beam in which the surface of a wooden beam joined to a pillar is covered with a fire-resistant coating.

A fire-resistant coated beam is known that has a wooden beam as a load-bearing part that is joined to a column and supports the load, and a fire-retardant layer and a substitute fire layer that are provided to cover the surface of the wooden beam (see Patent Document 1, etc.).

Patent No. 6126832

After the construction of fire-resistant coated beams joined to columns as described above, there may be cases where it is necessary to visually inspect the condition of the wooden beam, for example, when checking the situation after an earthquake. In order to visually inspect the condition of the wooden beam, however, it is necessary to remove the fire-resistant coating to expose the surface of the wooden beam.
However, in the conventional fire-resistant coated beams described above, the fire-retardant layer is bonded to the wooden beam, which serves as the load-bearing portion, with an adhesive or the like, and the substitute fire layer is bonded to the fire-retardant layer with an adhesive or the like, making it difficult to remove the fire-resistant coating to expose the surface of the wooden beam.
In addition, after visually inspecting the condition of the wooden beams, the surfaces of the wooden beams need to be covered again with new fire-resistant coating, which incurs construction costs for the new fire-resistant coating.
In other words, with conventional fire-resistant coated beams, there was a problem in that it was not easy to visually inspect the condition of the wooden beam after the fire-resistant coated beam was installed.
In consideration of the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a fire-resistant coated beam having a configuration that allows easy visual inspection of the condition of a wooden beam after installation of a fire-resistant coated beam.

The fire-resistant coated beam of the present invention is a fire-resistant coated beam comprising a wooden beam joined to a column and a fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the wooden beam, the fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam is removably attached to the beam end of the wooden beam in a state separated from the fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the wooden beam other than the beam end , the fire-resistant coating is made of a plate material having fire resistance, the fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam is not bonded to the beam end of the wooden beam, the fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the wooden beam other than the beam end, or the column side, and is removably attached to the beam end of the wooden beam by a screw-like fixing member, the screw-like fixing member is a metal screw-like fixing member, and a thermal bridge prevention means is provided to cover the exposed portion of the metal screw-like fixing member exposed on the outer surface of the fire-resistant coating .
According to the present invention, after the application of the fireproof coating beam, the work of visually inspecting the condition of the wooden beam can be easily performed. In addition, since the application of the fireproof coating to the surface of the wooden beam other than the beam end portion can be performed separately from the application of the fireproof coating to the surface of the beam end portion of the wooden beam, which is likely to be a complex structural part with intricate members such as joint members and joint means, the application of the fireproof coating to cover the surface of the wooden beam, which is likely to be a complex structural part, can be performed simply and accurately.
In addition , after the construction of the fire-resistant coated beam, the fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam can be easily removed from the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam by simply removing the screw-like fixing member, thereby exposing the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam and allowing visual inspection of the condition of the wooden beam. Furthermore, after visual inspection of the condition of the wooden beam, the fire-resistant coating removed from the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam can be easily attached back to the beam end of the wooden beam using the screw-like fixing member. In other words, the task of visually inspecting the condition of the wooden beam can be easily performed after the construction of the fire-resistant coated beam.
In addition , the thermal bridge phenomenon in which heat is transferred to the wooden beam through the metal screw-shaped fixing member can be prevented, thereby further improving the fire resistance of the fire-resistant coated beam.
In addition, the fire-resistant coated beam of the present invention is a fire-resistant coated beam comprising a wooden beam joined to a column and a fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the wooden beam, in which the fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam is removably attached to the beam end of the wooden beam in a state separate from the fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the wooden beam other than the beam end, and the fire-resistant coating covering the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam is composed of a fire-resistant coating material that covers the surface of the column. This makes it easier to attach and remove the fire-resistant coating to the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam, and makes it easier to visually inspect the condition of the wooden beam after the fire-resistant coated beam is installed.
In addition, since the fire-resistant coating is composed of a laminate of fire-resistant plate materials, the fire resistance of the fire-resistant coated beam can be further improved .

EMBODIMENT 1
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the fire-resistant coated beam 1 of embodiment 1 comprises a wooden beam 2 joined to a column 10 and a fire-resistant coating 4 provided to cover a surface 3 of the wooden beam 2, and the fire-resistant coating 41 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 is separate from the fire-resistant coating 42 covering the surface 32 other than the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, and is configured to be detachably attached to the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2.

The wooden beam 2 is a beam made of wood such as CLT (Cross Laminated Timber), laminated timber, LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber), or solid wood.
Additionally, CLT, as defined in Notification No. 3079 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, is "a general material made by arranging or gluing planks or small square timber (including those which have been adjusted by joining and gluing them lengthwise with their grain directions roughly parallel to each other) in the width direction with their grain directions roughly parallel to each other, and then laminating and gluing them together mainly with their grain directions roughly perpendicular to each other to create a structure of three or more layers."
That is, CLT is generally a type of wood constructed by gluing together multiple boards so that the grain directions of the boards cross at right angles, and is known as cross-laminated timber.
Generally, laminated lumber is wood made by bonding together a number of boards so that the grain directions of the boards are parallel to each other.
Moreover, LVL is generally a wood material in which a plurality of veneer panels are laminated and glued together in a manner that is parallel to the grain direction of the veneer panels.

The pillar 10 is, for example, a metal pillar such as a steel frame pillar, or a reinforced concrete pillar, or a wooden pillar.
The pillar 10 and the wooden beam 2 are joined by joining one side 10a of the pillar 10 and the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 via a joining member not shown in the figure.
In the case where the column 10 is a metal column, for example, a gusset plate as a connecting member protruding from one side of the metal column is inserted into a groove formed to open into the beam end face of the wooden beam 2, and the connecting member is joined to the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 using a connecting means such as a drift pin, thereby joining the column 10 and the wooden beam 2.
In the case where the column 10 is a reinforced concrete column, for example, an anchor bar serving as a connecting member is protruded from the end face of the wooden beam 2, and the anchor bar is assembled to the reinforcing bars provided in a formwork for forming the reinforced concrete column, and then concrete is poured into the formwork to construct the reinforced concrete column, thereby connecting the column 10 and the wooden beam 2.
When the pillar 10 is a wooden pillar, the pillar 10 and the wooden beam 2 are joined using, for example, metal joints as joining members.

The fireproof coating 4 is provided so as to cover the surface 3 of the wooden beam 2, i.e., both side surfaces (beam side surfaces) of the wooden beam 2 and the underside (beam underside) of the wooden beam 2. A floor (not shown) is provided on the upper surface (beam upper surface) of the wooden beam 2.
The fire-resistant coating 4 is composed of a fire-resistant board 45 such as a board material having fire resistance, i.e., a gypsum board, a calcium silicate board, a volcanic vitreous laminate board, etc., and is preferably composed of a laminate of a plurality of fire-resistant boards 45, 45..., thereby further improving the fire resistance.
Although Figs. 1 and 2 show an example of the fire-resistant coating 4 formed of a laminate of three fire-resistant plates 45, 45, 45, the fire-resistant coating 4 does not necessarily have to have a three-layer structure, and may be formed of a laminate of a two-layer structure or a multi-layer structure.
Furthermore, when the fire-resistant coating 4 is formed of a laminate of a plurality of fire-resistant plates 45, the types of fire-resistant plates forming each layer may be the same or different.
Furthermore, the fire-resistant coating 4 does not necessarily have to be composed of a laminate, but may be composed of a plate material having fire resistance, that is, one or more layers of fire-resistant plates 45 .

Furthermore, when the fire-resistant coating 4 is constructed of a laminate of multiple fire-resistant boards 45, the positions of the joints, which are the butt joints between the end faces of adjacent fire-resistant boards 45, 45 in each layer, are configured to be shifted in a direction along the surface 3 of the wooden beam 2.
That is, the fire-resistant coating 4 is configured so that the joints of each layer of the laminate do not coincide with each other in the lamination direction of the laminate, and the joints of each layer are offset from each other in the direction along the surface 3 of the wooden beam 2, and the joints do not continue in a straight line from the outer surface of the fire-resistant coating 4 to the surface 3 of the wooden beam 2. Therefore, even if the joints expand in the event of a fire and the flames pass through the expanded joints, they are blocked by the fire-resistant board 45 in the lower layer, improving the fire resistance.

In the first embodiment, the fireproof coating 42 is composed of a laminate of fireproof boards 45 covering the surface 32 of the wooden beam 2 other than the beam end 21. For example, first, the surface 32 of the wooden beam 2 other than the beam end 21 and the plate surface of the lowest fireproof board 45 facing the surface 32 are bonded with an adhesive, and the lowest fireproof board 45 is attached to the wooden beam 2 with a screw-like fixing member such as a screw not shown. Next, the plate surface of the lowest fireproof board 45 and the plate surface of the fireproof board 45 of the layer above the lowest layer are bonded with an adhesive, and the fireproof board 45 of the upper layer is attached to the wooden beam 2 with a screw-like fixing member. Similarly, the plate surface of the lower fireproof board 45 and the plate surface of the upper fireproof board 45 are bonded with an adhesive, and the upper fireproof board 45 is attached to the wooden beam 2 with a screw-like fixing member, so that the fireproof coating 42 composed of the desired number of layers is attached to the wooden beam 2. Therefore, the fireproof coating 42 that covers the surface 32 of the wooden beam 2 other than the beam end 21 is adhered to the surface 32 of the wooden beam 2 other than the beam end 21 by adhesive, so that it cannot be easily removed from the surface 32 of the wooden beam 2 other than the beam end 21, even if the screw-shaped fixing member is removed.

On the other hand, the fire-resistant coating 41 composed of a laminate of fire-resistant plates 45 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 is not adhered to the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, the fire-resistant coating 42 covering the surface 32 other than the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, or the column 10 side, and the fire-resistant coating 41 composed of the laminate is configured to be detachably attached to the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 by a screw-like fixing member 11 such as a screw.
In addition, the meaning of the column 10 side is, for example, when the column 10 is a wooden column and a fire-resistant coating made of a fire-resistant board is first applied to cover the surface of the wooden column, it includes the surface of the fire-resistant coating that covers one side 10a of the column 10.
In addition, the plate surfaces of the fire-resistant plates 45, ... forming the fire-resistant coating 41 composed of a laminate may be bonded together with an adhesive, or may not be bonded together with an adhesive.

In other words, in the first embodiment, the boundary surface between the fire-resistant coating 41 and the fire-resistant coating 42 is formed by the end faces of the fire-resistant plates 45 constituting the fire-resistant coating 41 and the end faces of the fire-resistant plates 45 constituting the fire-resistant coating 42, which are butted against each other in each layer, and by the plate surfaces of the fire-resistant plates 45 constituting the laminated fire-resistant coating 42 and the plate surfaces of the fire-resistant plates 45 constituting the fire-resistant coating 41, and the boundary surfaces between the fire-resistant coating 41 and the fire-resistant coating 42 are not bonded together with an adhesive.
In other words, in embodiment 1, the boundary surface between the fire-resistant coating 41 and the fire-resistant coating 42 is formed as a stepped surface along the stacking direction of the fire-resistant boards 45, ... and the extension direction of the wooden beam 2, and the stepped surfaces are not bonded together with an adhesive.
Furthermore, the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 and the opposing surface of the fire-resistant coating 41 facing the surface 31 are not bonded together with an adhesive.
In addition, the end faces of the fire-resistant boards 45, ... constituting the fire-resistant coating 41 and one side surface 10a of the column 10 are not bonded with an adhesive.
In other words, in Figures 1 and 2, the opposing surfaces of the fire-resistant coating 41 and the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 indicated by the thick line a1, the opposing surfaces of the fire-resistant coating 41 and the fire-resistant coating 42 indicated by the thick line a2, and the opposing surfaces of the fire-resistant coating 41 and one side surface 10a of the column 10 (or the surface of the fire-resistant coating covering one side surface 10a of the column 10) indicated by the thick line a3 are not bonded with an adhesive.

Therefore, in embodiment 1, the fire-resistant coating 41 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 can be easily removed from the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 by removing the screw-shaped fixing member 11, thereby exposing the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 and making it visible.
Furthermore, the dimensions of the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 that is exposed when the fire-resistant coating 41 is removed may be set, for example, to a length of approximately 5 cm to 30 cm along the extension direction of the wooden beam 2 (the direction of the beam's material axis).

According to the fire-resistant coated beam 1 of embodiment 1, if it is desired to visually inspect the condition of the wooden beam 2 after the construction of the fire-resistant coated beam 1 joined to the column 10, the fire-resistant coating 41 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 can be easily removed to expose the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, making it easy to perform the visual inspection.
In other words, after the construction of the fire-resistant coated beam 1 joined to the column 10, if it is desired to visually inspect the condition of the wooden beam 2, such as bending, distortion, cracks, embedment, etc. of the wooden beam 2, for example, after an earthquake occurs, at regular intervals, or after a specified period of time has passed, the fire-resistant coating 41 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 can be removed from the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, and visual inspection of the wooden beam 2 can be easily performed.
In addition, after visually inspecting the condition of the wooden beam 2, the removed fire-resistant coating 41 can be removably attached to the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 by the screw-shaped fixing member 11 so as to cover the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, thereby easily restoring the beam 1 to its original state of being fire-resistant coated.
That is, according to embodiment 1, it is possible to provide a fire-resistant coated beam 1 having a configuration that allows easy visual inspection of the condition of the wooden beam 2.

Generally, the vicinity of the joint between the column and the wooden beam, i.e., the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam, tends to be a complex structural part with an intricate intertwining of joint members and joint means (not shown), etc. Therefore, rather than applying the fire-resistant coating to cover the surface of the wooden beam all at once, applying the fire-resistant coating to the surfaces of the wooden beam other than the beam end and applying the fire-resistant coating to the surface of the beam end of the wooden beam, which is the intricate structural part, separately makes it easier and more accurate to apply the fire-resistant coating to cover the surface of the wooden beam.
In the fire-resistant coated beam 1 of embodiment 1, after applying a fire-resistant coating 42 that covers the surface 32 other than the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, it is possible to apply a fire-resistant coating 41 that covers the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2.
In other words, according to the fire-resistant coated beam 1 of embodiment 1, even if the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 is an intricate structural part consisting of components such as joining members and joining means not shown in the figure, it is possible to first apply the fire-resistant coating 42 to cover the surface 32 other than the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, and then apply the fire-resistant coating 41 to cover the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, which is the intricate structural part.
Therefore, according to the fire-resistant coated beam 1 of embodiment 1, the application of a fire-resistant coating to the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 can be easily and accurately performed, and the application of the fire-resistant coating 4 covering the surface 3 of the wooden beam 2 can be easily and accurately performed.

EMBODIMENT 2
In the fire-resistant coated beam 1 according to the first embodiment, the abutment portion between the end face of the fire-resistant board 45 constituting the fire-resistant coating 41 and the end face of the fire-resistant board 45 constituting the fire-resistant coating 42, i.e., the boundary surface between the fire-resistant coating 41 and the fire-resistant coating 42, is configured to be a corresponding stepped surface (a stepped surface corresponding to the misalignment of the joints of each layer). However, as shown in FIG. 3, the boundary surface between the fire-resistant coating 41 and the fire-resistant coating 42 (the surfaces of the fire-resistant coating 41 and the fire-resistant coating 42 facing each other, indicated by the thick line a2) may be configured as a surface perpendicular to the surface 3 of the wooden beam 2.
In FIG. 3, the same parts as those in FIG. 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals and their description will be omitted.
That is, in the fire-resistant coated beam 1 according to the second embodiment, the boundary surface between the fire-resistant coating 41 and the fire-resistant coating 42 is constituted by the end faces of the fire-resistant plates 45 constituting the fire-resistant coating 41, which are butted against each other in each layer, and the end faces of the fire-resistant plates 45 constituting the fire-resistant coating 42. The fire-resistant coating 41 is not bonded to the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, the fire-resistant coating 42 covering the surface 32 other than the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, or the column 10 side, and the fire-resistant coating 41 constituted by the laminate is configured to be detachably attached to the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 by means of a screw-like fixing member 11, such as a screw.

According to the fire-resistant coated beam 1 of the second embodiment, when the fire-resistant coating 4 is composed of a laminate of multiple fire-resistant boards 45, it is only necessary to prepare and use fire-resistant boards 45 with the same length and width dimensions for each of the fire-resistant boards 45 constituting the fire-resistant coating 41 that covers the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, which makes it easy to install the fire-resistant coating 41.

EMBODIMENT 3
As shown in Figure 1, in the case where the fire-resistant coating 41 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 is configured to be detachably attached to the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 by the screw-like fixing members 11, if a metal screw-like fixing member 11 is used as the screw-like fixing member 11, one end side of the metal screw-like fixing member 11 (e.g., the head of the screw) will be exposed on the outer surface side of the fire-resistant coating 41, and in the event of a fire, a thermal bridge phenomenon may occur in which heat is transferred to the wooden beam 2 via the metal screw-like fixing member 11.
In order to prevent this thermal bridging phenomenon, it is preferable to provide a configuration including a thermal bridging prevention means 5 that covers the exposed portion (e.g., the head of the screw) on one end of the metal screw-like fixing member 11 that is exposed on the outer surface of the fire-resistant coating 41, as shown in Figure 3.
The thermal bridge prevention means 5 may be made of a refractory material such as glass wool, asbestos, or fireproof paint.

Although not shown, when the fire-resistant coating 42 that covers the surface 32 of the wooden beam 2 other than the beam end 21 is attached to the wooden beam 2 with a metal screw-like fixing member 11 such as a screw, one end side of the metal screw-like fixing member 11 (e.g., the head of the screw) is exposed on the outer surface side of the fire-resistant coating 42, and in the event of a fire, a thermal bridge phenomenon may occur in which heat is transferred to the wooden beam 2 through the metal screw-like fixing member 11. Therefore, it is preferable to configure the fire-resistant coating 42 with a thermal bridge prevention means 5 that covers the exposed portion of one end side of the metal screw-like fixing member 11 (e.g., the head of the screw) that is exposed on the outer surface of the fire-resistant coating 42.

The fire-resistant coated beam 1 according to the third embodiment can prevent the thermal bridge phenomenon that occurs when a metal screw-shaped fixing member 11 such as a screw is used as a mounting member for attaching the fire-resistant coating 4 to the wooden beam 2, thereby further improving the fire resistance.

In the case where a metal screw-shaped fixing member 11 is used as the screw-shaped fixing member 11 in the fire-resistant coated beam 1 of embodiment 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2, it is preferable to configure it with a thermal bridge prevention means 5 that covers the exposed portion on one end side of the metal screw-shaped fixing member 11 exposed on the outer surface of the fire-resistant coating 4, as in embodiment 3.

EMBODIMENT 4
In the fire-resistant coated beam 1 of embodiment 3, an example has been shown in which a metal screw-like fixing member 11 is used, but instead of the metal screw-like fixing member 11, a non-metallic screw-like fixing member, such as a ceramic screw formed from ceramic, may be used.
The use of such non-metallic screw-shaped fixing members is preferable because it suppresses the thermal bridge phenomenon and eliminates the need for the thermal bridge prevention means 5 .

EMBODIMENT 5
In the fire-resistant coated beam 1 according to the first to fourth embodiments, the fire-resistant coating 41 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 is exemplified as being made of a plate material having fire resistance, i.e., a fire-resistant board 45. However, as shown in FIG. 4, the fire-resistant coating 41 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 may be a fire-resistant coating 41 made of a fire-resistant coating material 15 that covers the surface of the column 10.
The fire-resistant covering material 15 that covers the surface of the column 10 may be a flexible fire-resistant covering material, such as a wound-type rock wool.
A specific example of the flexible fire-resistant covering material 15 is "Makibee (registered trademark)" manufactured by Nichias Corporation.
For example, as shown in Figure 4, a fire-resistant covering material 15 is used to cover the surface of a column 10, and the end 15a of the fire-resistant covering material 15 covering the surface of the column 10 covers the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 in an easily peelable manner, and the end 15a of the fire-resistant covering material 15 is removably attached to a fire-resistant covering 42 covering the surface 32 of the wooden beam 2 other than the beam end 21 using an attachment member not shown in the figure.
According to embodiment 5, in order to realize a configuration in which the fire-resistant coating 41 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 is removably attached to the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 while being separated from the fire-resistant coating 42 covering the surface 32 other than the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, the end 15a side of the fire-resistant coating material 15 covering the surface of the column 10 is used as the fire-resistant coating 41 covering the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2. This makes it easier to attach and remove the fire-resistant coating 41 to the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, and makes it easier to visually inspect the condition of the wooden beam 2 after the fire-resistant coated beam 1 is installed.

In each figure, only the fireproof coating 41 at the joint between the beam end 21 on one end of the wooden beam 2 and the column 10 is shown, but it goes without saying that the fireproof coating at the joint between the beam end on the other end (not shown) of the wooden beam 2 and the column is configured in the same way.

In addition, in the above-mentioned first to fourth embodiments, the fire-resistant coating 4 is exemplified as being composed of a laminate of multiple fire-resistant plates 45. However, the fire-resistant coating 4 does not necessarily have to be composed of a laminate, and may be composed of a plate material having fire resistance, i.e., one or more layers of fire-resistant plates 45.

In addition, in each embodiment, a fire-resistant coating 41 is illustrated that is provided to cover the surface 31 of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, i.e., both side surfaces of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 and the underside of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2, but the fire-resistant coating 41 may be provided on at least one of both side surfaces of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2 and the underside of the beam end 21 of the wooden beam 2.
