Below, a roof structure having the roof body 2 of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. In this embodiment, an example in which the roof structure is applied to a terrace 1 will be described. Note that, for example, the roof structure may also be applied to structures other than terraces, such as carports, bicycle parking areas, shelters, rest areas, bus stops, etc.

In the description of this embodiment, the wall 10a side of the building 10 on the terrace 1 is referred to as the rear side, and the side of the pillar 11 opposite the wall 10a of the building 10 is referred to as the front side. The direction in which the rafter hanger 3 and the front frame 4 extend is referred to as the left-right direction.

As shown in FIG. 1, the terrace 1 of this embodiment includes a roof body 2 and two supports 11. The rear side of the roof body 2 is connected to the wall 10a of the building 10, and the front end of the roof body 2 is supported by the two supports 11. The roof body 2 includes a rafter hanger 3 (rear material) fixed to the wall 10a of the building 10, a front frame 4 (front material) arranged at a distance from the rafter hanger 3 to the opposite side of the wall 10a of the building 10, a plurality of rafters 5 extending between the rafter hanger 3 and the front frame 4 and arranged side by side in the left-right direction, a plurality of rafters 6 extending between adjacent rafters 5, and a plurality of panel materials 7 attached between adjacent rafters 5 above the rafters 6 and arranged side by side in the left-right direction. The roof body 2 is inclined downward from the rafter hanger 3 side toward the front frame 4 side.

As shown in FIG. 1, the multiple rafters 5 include two end rafters 501 (rafters) arranged at both ends of the roof body 2 in the left-right direction, and multiple intermediate rafters 502 (rafters) arranged side by side in the left-right direction (a direction intersecting the direction in which the rafters 5 extend) between the two end rafters 501. The end rafters 501 clamp and fix the widthwise end of the panel material 7 in the vertical direction on one side of the end rafters 501 in the left-right direction (the inner side of the roof body 2 in the left-right direction). The intermediate rafters 502 clamp and fix the widthwise end of the panel material 7 in the vertical direction on both left-right sides of the intermediate rafters 502.

As shown in FIG. 2, the rafter 5 has a rafter body 51 and a rafter cover 52 (upper rafter member) that is disposed on top of the rafter body 51 and sandwiches the end of the panel material 7 between the rafter body 51 and the rafter cover 52 (upper rafter member).

As shown in Figures 2 to 6, the rafter body 51 has a hollow rafter body portion 511 and a pair of lower lateral extensions 515 extending out to both sides at the lower part of the hollow rafter body portion 511. The rafter side panel 512 of the hollow rafter body portion 511 has a number of side openings 513 formed midway along the length of the rafter 5, corresponding to the positions where a number of joists 6 are attached.

The side openings 513 are formed by penetrating the rafter side panels 512 formed at the widthwise ends of the rafter body 51. In the end rafters 501 (see FIG. 1), the side openings 513 open laterally on the inside in the left-right direction of the roof body 2, which is one side of the widthwise direction of the rafter body 51, and in the intermediate rafters 502 (see FIG. 1), they open laterally on both sides of the widthwise direction of the rafter body 51. In this embodiment, the side openings 513 open, for example, in a rectangular shape.

As shown in Figures 3 to 6, the pair of lower lateral extensions 515 has a horizontal extension plate 516 and a protruding plate 517 that protrudes upward from the outer end of the horizontal extension plate 516. A notch restricting portion 517a (restricting portion) is formed at the position of the protruding plate 517 where the siding 6 is attached. When the siding 6 is placed on the lower lateral extension portion 515 of the rafter body 51, the lower restricting protrusion 624 of the siding engagement member 62 (described later) of the siding 6 is placed in the notch restricting portion 517a. As a result, the notch restricting portion 517a restricts the movement of the siding 6 in the longitudinal direction of the rafter 5 by restricting the movement of the lower restricting protrusion 624 of the siding engagement member 62 of the siding 6 in the front-to-rear direction.

Each of the multiple furring strips 6 is attached to the rafters 5. As shown in FIG. 6, each of the multiple furring strips 6 has a long furring strip body 61 and a pair of furring strip engaging members 62 (engagement members) provided at the ends of the furring strip body 61 in the longitudinal direction X.

As shown in FIG. 7, the furring strip body 61 has a hollow portion 611. The furring strip body hollow portion 611 has a small opening 615 that opens at the end face of the furring strip 6 in the longitudinal direction X. The furring strip body hollow portion 611 has a pair of furring strip body side panels 612 and a bottom panel 613.

The pair of furring strip body side panels 612 are spaced apart in the width direction H of the furring strip 6. Each of the pair of furring strip body side panels 612 has a pair of lateral engagement openings 612a that open toward the ends of the furring strip 6 in the longitudinal direction X.

Two side engagement openings 612a are provided at each of one end and the other end of the longitudinal direction X of the furring strip body hollow portion 611. The two side engagement openings 612a are arranged opposite each other in the width direction H at each of one end and the other end of the longitudinal direction X of the furring strip body hollow portion 611.

As shown in FIG. 7, the bottom panel 613 has a recess 613a that recesses from the front end of the furring edge engaging member 62 in the longitudinal direction X toward the rear. When the furring edge engaging member 62 is attached to the furring edge main body 61, the lower restricting protrusion 624 of the furring edge engaging member 62 is positioned in the recess 613a.

The pair of furring strip engaging members 62 are attached by being inserted into the small openings 615 at both ends of the furring strip body 61 in the longitudinal direction X. The furring strip engaging members 62 are configured to be elastically deformable.

The furring strip engaging member 62 has an engaging member main body 621, a rafter engaging elastic convex portion 622, a pair of furring strip main body engaging elastic convex portions 623 (furring strip main body side engaging portions), and a lower restricting convex portion 624.

The engaging member body 621 is formed in a cylindrical shape with the front side closed by the front panel 621a and the back side open at the small ends 615 at both ends of the furring strip body 61 in the longitudinal direction X. Most of the engaging member body 621 is disposed inside the furring strip body 61.

The rafter engagement elastic protrusion 622 is formed protruding from the engagement member main body 621 toward the rafter 5. The rafter engagement elastic protrusion 622 can engage with the side opening 513 of the rafter main body 51.

The rafter engagement elastic convex portion 622 is provided below the front plate 621a of the engagement member main body 621 on the end surface of the rafter 5 side of the furring edge engagement member 62. The rafter engagement elastic convex portion 622 is formed on the front plate 621a such that the inner portion of the U-shaped groove that opens downwards protrudes toward the rafter 5 side in an elastically deformable manner. When not pressed, the rafter engagement elastic convex portion 622 is positioned in a protruding position protruding toward the rafter 5 side, and when pressed, it is released from the elastically deformed state due to being pressed and is positioned in the protruding position as it is no longer pressed.

The rafter engagement elastic convex portion 622 has an inclined protruding surface 622a. The inclined protruding surface 622a is formed at an angle so as to gradually protrude from the front surface of the front panel 621a of the furring edge engagement member 62 as it moves from the bottom to the top of the furring edge engagement member 62. The inclined protruding surface 622a is the surface that is pressed against the side surface 512a of the rafter side panel 512 of the rafter main body 51 when the furring edge 6 is attached to the rafter main body 51.

When the siding 6 is attached between adjacent rafters 5, as shown in FIG. 8, the siding 6 is moved from above to below between the adjacent rafters 5. As the siding 6 is moved from above to below, the siding 6 is inserted between the adjacent rafters 5, and the inclined protruding surface 622a of the rafter engagement elastic convex portion 622 is pressed against the side surface 512a of the rafter side panel 512 of the rafter main body 51, so that the rafter engagement elastic convex portion 622 is temporarily pressed inward by elastic deformation.

As the rafter 6 is moved further downward, the rafter engagement elastic protrusion 622 is moved to the side opening 513 of the rafter body 51, and is no longer pressed from its elastically deformed state, releasing the elastic deformation and protruding toward the rafter body 51. As a result, the rafter engagement elastic protrusion 622 of the rafter 6 engages with the side opening 513 of the rafter body 51, allowing the rafter 6 to be attached to the rafter body 51.

As shown in FIG. 7, a pair of furring strip body engaging elastic convex parts 623 are provided on a pair of engaging member side panels 621b formed at both ends of the engaging member main body 621 in the width direction H. The furring strip body engaging elastic convex parts 623 can engage with the lateral engaging openings 612a of the furring strip body 61. The furring strip body engaging elastic convex parts 623 are formed such that the inner part of the U-shaped groove that opens at the rear protrudes to the side in an elastically deformable manner. When not pressed, the furring strip body engaging elastic convex parts 623 are arranged in the protruding position, and when pressed, they are pushed inward once by elastic deformation, and when they are no longer pressed, the elastic deformation is released and they are arranged in the protruding position.

The furring strip body engaging elastic convex portion 623 has an inclined protruding surface 623a. The inclined protruding surface 623a is formed at an angle so as to gradually protrude from the engaging member side panel 621b of the furring strip body engaging member 62 as it moves from the rear side to the front side of the furring strip body engaging member 62. The inclined protruding surface 623a is the surface that is pressed against the inner surface of the furring strip body side panel 612 of the furring strip body 61 when the furring strip body engaging member 62 is attached to the furring strip body 61.

When attaching the furring strip engaging member 62 to the furring strip body 61, as shown in FIG. 7, the furring strip engaging member 62 is inserted into the small end 615 of the furring strip body 61. As a result, the inclined protruding surfaces 623a of the pair of furring strip body engaging elastic convex portions 623 are pressed against the inner surfaces of the pair of furring strip body side panels 612 of the furring strip body hollow portion 611 of the furring strip body 61, and are pressed inward once by elastic deformation. As the furring strip engaging member 62 is further inserted, the furring strip body engaging elastic convex portion 623 is moved to the side engaging opening 612a of the furring strip body 61, and is no longer pressed from the elastically deformed state, and the elastic deformation is released and the furring strip engaging member 62 is positioned in the protruding position. As a result, the pair of furring strip body engaging elastic convex portions 623 of the furring strip engaging member 62 engage with the pair of side engaging openings 612a of the furring strip body 61, and the furring strip engaging member 62 can be attached to the furring strip body 61.

The lower restricting protrusion 624 protrudes downward from the underside of the end of the engaging member body 621 on the rafter 5 side. When the rafter 6 is attached between adjacent rafters 5, the lower restricting protrusion 624 can engage with the notch restricting portion 517a of the protruding portion of the rafter body 51. The lower restricting protrusion 624 restricts the movement of the rafter 6 in the longitudinal direction of the rafter 5.

Next, the procedure for constructing the roof body 2 will be described. When constructing the roof body 2, first install the front frame 4 and the rafter hanger 3, and then arrange multiple rafter bodies 51 in a line in the left-right direction so that they span the front frame 4 and the rafter hanger 3.

In this state, the furring strip 6 to which the furring strip engaging member 62 is attached is moved from the upper side to the lower side between the adjacent rafter bodies 51, as shown in FIG. 8. As a result, the furring strip 6 is moved downward, and the furring strip body engaging elastic protrusion 623 is pressed against the side surface 512a of the rafter side panel 512 of the rafter body 51, and is temporarily pressed inward by elastic deformation. As the furring strip 6 is moved further downward, the furring strip body engaging elastic protrusion 623 is moved to the side opening 513 of the rafter body 51, and is no longer pressed from its elastically deformed state, and is positioned in the protruding position.

Therefore, when the elastic deformation is released at the side opening 513 from the state in which the rafter 5 is pressed against the side of the rafter body 51 of the rafter 5 and elastically deformed, the rafter body engaging elastic protrusion 623 engages with the side opening 513 of the rafter body 51. This allows the rafter 6 to be easily attached between adjacent rafter bodies 51 simply by moving the rafter 6 from above to below between the adjacent rafter bodies 51.

Next, the panel material 7 is placed above the rafter 6 so that it straddles the adjacent rafter bodies 51, and the rafter cover 52 is attached so that the end of the panel material 7 is sandwiched between the rafter bodies 51. In this way, the roof body 2 can be easily constructed.

According to this embodiment, the following effects are achieved. The roof body 2 of this embodiment comprises a plurality of rafters 5, a sill 6 that extends between adjacent rafters 5 among the plurality of rafters 5 and is attached to the rafters 5, and a panel material 7 that is attached between adjacent rafters 5 above the sill 6. The rafters 5 have a side opening 513 provided on the side of the rafter 5 midway along its length, and the sill 6 comprises an elongated sill body 61 and a sill engagement member 62 that is provided at the end of the sill body 61 in the longitudinal direction X, protrudes toward the rafter 5, and can engage with the side opening 513.

This allows the siding 6 to be attached to the rafter 5 by engaging the siding engagement member 62 of the siding 6 with the side opening 513 of the rafter 5, making it possible to easily attach the siding 6 to the rafter 5 without using screws.

In addition, in this embodiment, the furring strip engaging member 62 is configured to be elastically deformable, and when the furring strip 6 is moved from above between adjacent rafters 5, it is pressed against the side of the rafter 5 and elastically deformed, but the elastic deformation is released at the side opening 513, and it engages with the side opening 513. This allows the furring strip 6 to be easily engaged with the side opening 513 of the rafter 5 by moving it from above to below. Therefore, the furring strip 6 can be easily attached to the rafter 5.

In this embodiment, the rafter 5 includes a lower lateral extension 515 that extends laterally at the lower part and on which the joist 6 is placed, and the lower lateral extension 515 has a notch restriction portion 517a that restricts movement of the joist 6 in the longitudinal direction of the rafter 5. This allows the joist 6 to be easily placed on the rafter 5 while restricting movement of the joist 6 in the longitudinal direction of the rafter 5.

In addition, in this embodiment, the furring edge engaging member 62 has a furring edge body engaging elastic convex portion 623 that can engage with the furring edge body 61. This allows the furring edge engaging member 62 to be easily attached to the furring edge body 61 simply by engaging the furring edge engaging member 62 with the furring edge body 61.

Although a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure has been described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment and can be modified as appropriate.
