Description

This invention relates to clothing.

As a garment equipped with a storage compartment, Patent Document 1 discloses a vest-type backpack comprising a vest and a backpack attached to the vest. The vest is provided with belts or buttons to securely fasten it to the wearer's body.

Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 10-262731

The vest-type backpack described in Patent Document 1 above uses a belt positioned around the wearer's waist and connected at the front to ensure a snug fit to the wearer's body. Therefore, the vest-type backpack described in Patent Document 1 has the problem of reducing the wearer's comfort due to the belt constricting the waist.

The present invention aims to provide clothing that can suppress a decrease in wearing comfort.

A garment according to one aspect of the present invention comprises a garment body, a storage section, and a connecting section, wherein the garment body has a front panel and a back panel, the storage section is provided on the back panel, and the connecting section is a strip-shaped member provided on the left and right sides of the garment body, each having a first end and a second end at both ends in the longitudinal direction, the first end being fixed to the back panel below the storage section, and the second end being fixed to the garment body above the first end.

According to the present invention, it is possible to suppress a decrease in wearing comfort.

When clothing is worn by a person with luggage stored in the storage compartment, the weight of the luggage exerts a downward force on the back of the garment. The connecting part prevents the lower back of the garment from shifting downward by ensuring it fits snugly against the wearer's back. By preventing the back of the garment from shifting downward, the garment itself is less likely to shift away from the wearer's body.
The connecting section is fixed to the garment body at the second end above the first end, so it does not constrict the wearer's waist.
Therefore, by ensuring that the garment fits snugly against the wearer's body without constricting the wearer's waist, the deterioration of comfort can be minimized.

The garment according to embodiment 1, wherein the connecting portion has an adjustment mechanism that allows adjustment of the length in the longitudinal direction.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the drawings. Figure 1 is a front view showing the garment according to one embodiment, Figure 2 is a rear view showing the garment according to one embodiment, Figure 3 is a partial end view along the line III-III in Figure 2, Figure 4 is a front view of the garment according to one embodiment in an inside-out state, Figure 5 is a partial end view along the line VI-VI in Figure 4, and Figures 6 and 7 are left side views showing the usage state according to one embodiment.

The garment 10A shown in Figure 1 has a length direction L and a left-right direction H that are perpendicular to each other. The length direction L is the direction of the wearer's height when the garment 10A is worn, and is synonymous with the vertical direction. The left-right direction H is the direction perpendicular to the length direction L, and is synonymous with the horizontal direction. The garment 10A has its direction and side towards the wearer's head as the upward and upper sides of the length direction L, respectively, and its direction and side towards the wearer's feet as the downward and lower sides of the length direction L, respectively. Furthermore, the direction and side towards the right from the wearer's perspective are the right and right sides of the left-right direction H, respectively, and the direction and side towards the left from the wearer's perspective are the left and left sides of the left-right direction H, respectively. In addition, the side of the garment 10A closer to the wearer's body is the inside, and the side further from the wearer's body is the outside. Also, the front, front (abdominal side), and back and back (back side) are relative to the wearer.

Furthermore, "following" a certain standard includes following a direction within a range of less than ±45° from that standard. The end of a member in a certain direction refers to the range from the edge of the member in that direction to a length of 1/5 (preferably 1/10) or less of the total length of the member in that direction.

In this specification, connection refers to a form of fixation, meaning that two objects are connected, and joining is a sub-concept. Connection includes cases where objects are a single unit. Joining means connecting separate objects to form a single unit. In this specification, joining is not limited to sewing, but also includes the use of adhesives and heat fusion, and is selected as appropriate depending on the fabric.

Garment 10A includes cases where it is a top garment, and cases where it is an outer garment that is an integral part of a top garment and a bottom garment. Garment 10A shown in Figure 1 is a top garment. Garment 10A has a garment body 12, a storage section 14 (Figure 2), and a connecting section 16 (Figure 4). The garment body 12 has a neckline 18 and armholes 20. The garment body 12 may or may not have a collar at the neckline 18. In the garment 10A shown in Figure 1, a collar 22 is integrally provided at the neckline 18. The shape of the collar 22 is not particularly limited, but the collar 22 shown in Figure 1 is a stand-up collar. If there is no collar, the neckline 18 may be a U-shape or V-shape that is recessed downwards. The garment body 12 may or may not have a right sleeve and a left sleeve at the armholes 20. The garment body 12 shown in Figure 1 is a vest that does not have a right or left sleeve.

The garment body 12 is formed of fabric. The fibers constituting the fabric are not particularly limited; for example, polyester fibers such as polyethylene terephthalate and polytrimethylene terephthalate, synthetic fibers such as nylon 6 and nylon 66, semi-synthetic fibers such as acetate, and natural fibers such as cotton, linen, and wool can be used individually or in combination of two or more. The form of the fabric in this embodiment is not particularly limited; woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, nonwoven fabrics, etc., can be used depending on the purpose. The fabric in this embodiment may be given waterproofing properties by lamination or coating. The fabric may also be given water repellency by water-repellent treatment.

The garment body 12 integrally comprises a front panel 24A and a back panel 26. The front panel 24A may have an opening/closing section 28 at its center in the left-right direction H. The garment body 12 shown in Figure 1 is separable into a right half and a left half by opening the opening/closing section 28. The opening/closing section 28 can be fitted with a slide fastener and is provided over the entire length L of the front panel 24A, including the hem 13 and collar 22. The slide fastener, though not shown, comprises a pair of tape-like members, a pair of element rows arranged facing each other at the longitudinal edges of these tape-like members, and a slider section for opening and closing these pair of element rows.

As shown in Figure 2, the back panel 26 has an integrally provided storage section 14. The storage section 14 is located in the center of the back panel 26 in the left-right direction H, and has an openable/closable opening 32 on the outer surface of the back panel 26. The opening 32 is a slit extending along the length direction L or the left-right direction H. The opening 32 shown in Figure 2 is a slit extending along the length direction L, and is provided with a second opening/closing section 34. Figure 2 shows the opening 32 in a closed state by the second opening/closing section 34. The second opening/closing section 34 may be fitted with a slide fastener similar to the opening/closing section 28, or it may be fitted with a hook-and-loop fastener or a button.

The outer edge of the storage section 14 is defined by a linear outer edge portion 36. The outer edge portion 36 has lateral outer edge portions 38 extending along the length direction L and defining the left-right outer edges H of the storage section 14, and a lower outer edge portion 40 extending along the left-right direction H and defining the lower outer edge of the storage section 14. The upper outer edge of the storage section 14 is defined by the neckline 18.

The garment 10A may have a pinch portion 42 on the back panel 26. The pinch portion 42 is located at the upper end of the opening 32. The pinch portion 42 is sandwiched and connected between the collar 22 and the back panel 26 at the neckline 18. The pinch portion 42 can be made from the same fabric as the back panel 26. The lower edge 43 of the pinch portion 42 has a shape where the center in the left-right direction H is convex downwards.

As shown in Figure 3, the back panel 26 has a back outer fabric 44 and a back pocket fabric portion 46 positioned inside the back outer fabric 44. The back pocket fabric portion 46 can be made of the same fabric as the back panel 26. In the case of Figure 3, the back pocket fabric portion 46 is a single piece of fabric positioned in the thickness direction of the back panel 26, and is formed into a pocket shape by joining its outer edge to the back outer fabric. The storage section 14 is formed by connecting the back pocket fabric portion 46 to the back outer fabric 44. The storage section 14 has a space 49 for storing luggage between the back outer fabric 44 and the back pocket fabric portion 46. The outer edge portion 36 is formed by connecting the back outer fabric 44 and the back pocket fabric portion 46 in a ring shape when viewed from the back (Figure 2). The opening 32 is formed in the back outer fabric 44. The back panel 26 may have a back lining 48 as a lining on the inside of the back pocket fabric portion 46.
The back pocket fabric portion 46 shown in Figure 3 was described as being formed from a single piece of fabric arranged in the thickness direction of the back body 26, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the back pocket fabric portion 46 may be formed from two pieces of fabric arranged in the thickness direction of the back body 26, and may be formed into a pocket shape by connecting their outer edges.

Figure 4 is a front view of the garment 10A in its reversed state, showing the reversed front panel 24A. The front panel 24A has an operation window 50, through which a portion of the connecting part 16 is exposed. The connecting part 16 maintains a certain distance between the lower part of the back panel 26 and the front panel 24A. The connecting part 16 may also have the function of pulling the lower part of the back panel 26 towards the front panel 24A. The connecting part 16 is a band-shaped member provided on both the left and right sides of the garment body 12. The connecting part 16 shown in Figure 4 is a belt. The connecting part 16 can be made of materials such as acrylic tape, leather, cotton, nylon, or polyester.

The connecting portion 16 has a first end 52 and a second end 54 at both ends in the longitudinal direction. The first end 52 is connected to the inside of the back panel 26 below the storage portion 14. The position where the first end 52 is connected to the back panel 26 is preferably below the center of the length direction L of the storage portion 14, and may be between the center of the length direction L of the storage portion 14 and the lower outer edge 40, or between the lower outer edge 40 and the hem 13. In this embodiment, the first end 52 is connected to the back panel 26 at a position where a portion of the first end 52 in the length direction L overlaps with the lower outer edge 40.

The second end 54 is connected to the inside of the garment body 12, in front of and above the first end 52. The second end 54 of the connecting portion 16 shown in Figure 4 is connected to the front panel 24A at a position above the center in the length direction L. The second end 54 may also be connected to the front panel 24A at a position corresponding to the wearer's chest.

The connecting portion 16 maintains a predetermined distance between the back panel 26 to which the first end 52 is connected and the front panel 24A to which the second end 54 is connected. The connecting portion 16 may have an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism adjusts the longitudinal length of the connecting portion and may use, for example, a material that is stretchable in the longitudinal direction, such as an elastic cord, or a known length adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism is preferably provided closer to the second end than the longitudinal center of the connecting portion.

The connecting portion 16 shown in Figure 4 has a free end portion 56, a fixed end portion 58, and an adjustment ring 60 as an adjustment mechanism. The free end portion 56 has a first end portion 52 and a free end portion 62 opposite to the first end portion 52. The first end portion 52 of the free end portion 56 is connected to the back panel 26, while the opposite end portion is wrapped around the adjustment ring 60, with the free end portion 62 extending out from the adjustment ring 60. The fixed end portion 58 has a second end portion 54.

As shown in Figure 5, the fixed end portion 58 is looped around the adjustment ring 60, and the second end portion 54 is connected to the front panel 24A. The front panel 24A has a front outer fabric 64A. The front panel 24A may further have a front lining 66 positioned inside the front outer fabric 64A. In this embodiment, the front lining 66 has an operation window 50. The operation window 50 penetrates the front lining 66 in the thickness direction. The adjustment ring 60 is exposed to the inside of the garment body 12 through the operation window 50.

The operating window 50 has an upper edge portion 68, a lower edge portion 70, and a middle fabric portion 72. The upper edge portion 68 is provided at the upper end of the operating window 50 and is connected to the front lining 66 together with the second end portion 54. The lower edge portion 70 is provided at the lower end of the operating window 50 and is connected to the front lining 66. Specifically, the upper edge portion 68 and the lower edge portion 70 shown in Figure 5 are each connected to the front lining 66 by sewing. The edges 69 and 71 at the ends of the upper edge portion 68 and the lower edge portion 70, respectively, protrude inward from the inner edge 51 of the operating window 50. The middle fabric portion 72 is positioned to cover the outside of the operating window 50. The upper end portion 73 of the middle fabric portion 72 is connected to the front lining 66 together with the upper edge portion 68. The middle section 72 has a through-hole 76 at its lower end 74 that penetrates in the length direction, and is connected to the front lining 66 together with the lower edge 70. The ends of the middle section 72 in the left-right direction H are also connected to the front lining 66. Specifically, the middle section 72 shown in Figure 5 is connected to the front lining by sewing.

The free end side 56 of the connecting section 16 has its free end 62 looped around the adjustment ring 60 and pulled out from the operation window 50. The end opposite to the free end 62 is inserted into the insertion hole 76 and passes between the front outer fabric 64A and the front lining 66, connecting to the back body 26 at the first end 52.

(Mechanism of action and effects)
The garment 10A can accommodate luggage by opening the opening 32, placing the luggage into the space 49 of the storage compartment 14, and then closing the opening 32. The wearer puts on the garment 10A by putting their right arm and left arm through the armholes 20 and then putting it on. As shown in Figure 6, when the wearer P puts on the garment 10A with luggage stored in the storage compartment 14, the weight of the luggage acts on the garment 10A, pushing the back panel 26 downwards. By pulling the free end 62 of the connecting part 16 and shortening the length of the connecting part 16 between the first end 52 and the second end 54, the lower back panel 26 of the storage compartment 14 is pulled up, and as shown in Figure 7, the lower part of the back panel 26 in particular adheres closely to the wearer's back. In this way, by maintaining the distance between the first end 52 and the second end 54 at a predetermined length using the connecting part 16, the garment 10A can be brought closer to the position relative to the wearer when luggage is not stored in the storage compartment 14. In other words, garment 10A prevents the back panel 26 from shifting downward when luggage is stored inside. In this way, garment 10A is less likely to shift away from the wearer P's body.

Since the second end 54 of the connecting portion 16 is connected to the inside of the front body 24A, it does not constrict the wearer P's waist. Therefore, the garment 10A can prevent a decrease in wearing comfort by allowing the back body 26 having the storage portion 14 to fit snugly against the wearer P's body without constricting the wearer P's waist.
Since the connecting portion 16 is located inside the garment body 12, it is not exposed to the outside of the garment body 12. Therefore, the garment can minimize the impact of the connecting portion 16 on its appearance.
The connecting portion 16 has an adjustment ring 60, which allows the distance between the first end 52 and the second end 54 to be adjusted to a predetermined length. Therefore, the garment 10A can adjust the length of the connecting portion 16 in the longitudinal direction to match the size of the wearer P's body, the size of the luggage stored in the storage portion 14, and the weight of the luggage, so that the garment body 12 is less likely to slip away from the wearer P's body.

The second end portion 54 is positioned to correspond to the wearer P's chest, making it easy for the wearer P to operate the adjustment mechanism while wearing the garment 10A.

The connecting portion 16 has its first end 52 connected to the back panel 26 and its second end 54 connected to the front panel 24A. Therefore, the distance between the first end 52 and the second end 54 can be increased. In other words, the connecting portion 16 offers a high degree of flexibility in length adjustment. Consequently, the garment 10A can be easily adjusted to fit the wearer P's body by adjusting the connecting portion 16.

The garment body 12 is designed so that the back panel 26 is prevented from shifting downward, thus preventing the front panel 24A from shifting backward. Therefore, even when the collar 22 is a stand-up collar, the garment 10A is less likely to shift away from the wearer's body because the front panel 24A is less likely to shift. As a result, the garment 10A can minimize a decrease in wearing comfort.

The garment 10A, by having a lining, hides the first end 52 between the back lining 48 and the back outer fabric 44, preventing the first end 52 from directly touching the wearer P's body during wear. Therefore, the garment 10A does not cause discomfort due to the first end 52 directly touching the wearer P's body, thus improving wearing comfort.

(Variant)
The present invention is not limited to the above embodiments and can be modified as appropriate within the scope of the spirit of the invention. For example, in the above embodiments, the case in which the operation window is provided on the front lining was described, but the present invention is not limited to this. Modification (1) of the garment will be described with reference to Figures 8 and 9, in which the same reference numerals are used for the same configuration as in the above embodiments. Figure 8 is a front view showing garment 10B according to modification (1), and Figure 9 is a partial end view along the line IX-IX in Figure 8.
The garment 10B shown in Figure 8 has an operation window 50 on the front panel 24B. The operation window 50 opens outwards from the front panel 24B. As shown in Figure 9, the front panel 24B has a front outer fabric 64B. The front outer fabric 64B is provided with the operation window 50. The operation window 50 has an upper edge portion 68, a lower edge portion 70, and an inner fabric portion 72. The upper edge portion 68 is provided at the upper end of the operation window 50 and is connected to the front outer fabric 64B together with the second end portion 54. The lower edge portion 70 is provided at the lower end of the operation window 50 and is connected to the front outer fabric 64B. The upper end portion 73 of the inner fabric portion 72 is connected to the front outer fabric 64B together with the upper edge portion 68. The lower end portion 74 of the inner fabric portion 72 has an insertion hole 76 that penetrates in the length direction L and is connected to the front outer fabric 64B together with the lower edge portion 70. The front panel 24B may have a front lining 66.
The free end side 56 of the connecting portion 16 has its free end 62 looped around the adjustment ring 60 and pulled out from the operation window 50, and the opposite side of the free end side 56 is inserted into the insertion hole 76, passing between the front outer fabric 64B and the front lining 66, and is connected to the back body 26 at the first end 52.
In the modified example (1), the garment 10B has an operating window 50 that opens outwards from the front panel 24B, and an adjustment ring 60, which serves as an adjustment mechanism, is exposed through the operating window 50. Therefore, a wearer wearing the garment 10B can operate the adjustment mechanism with the opening/closing part 28 of the front panel 24B closed.
The garment 10B shown in Figure 8 includes an opening/closing section 28 on the front panel 24B, but this modified example (1) is not limited to this. The garment 10B does not have to have an opening/closing section 28 on the front panel 24B, or it may have an opening/closing section under the armpit between the front and back panels.

Modification (2) of the garment will be described with reference to Figures 10 and 11, which use the same reference numerals as in Figures 8 and 9. Figure 10 is a front view showing garment 10C according to modification (2), and Figure 11 is a partial end view along the line XI-XI in Figure 10.
The garment 10C shown in Figure 10 has pockets 78 and an operating window 50 on the front panel 24C. The pockets 78 are provided on the left and right sides of the front panel 24C. The pockets 78 have an opening 79 on the outside of the front panel 24C. The garment 10C shown in Figure 10 has a third opening/closing part 80 that allows the opening 79 to be opened and closed. The operating window 50 is provided inside the pocket 78. As shown in Figure 11, the front panel 24C has a front outer fabric 64C and a front pocket fabric portion 82. The front outer fabric 64C has the above-mentioned opening 79 formed thereon. The front pocket fabric portion 82 is connected to the front outer fabric 64C. The front pocket fabric portion 82 has a space 83. The front pocket fabric portion 82 may be made of the same fabric as the front outer fabric 64C or of a different fabric. The front pocket fabric portion 82 is made of two front pocket fabrics 85 and 86 arranged in the thickness direction of the front panel 24C. The front pocket fabrics 85 and 86 have a space between their opposing surfaces in the thickness direction, and their upper and lower ends are connected to each other at the outer ring portion 84. The outer ends of the front pocket fabrics 85 and 86 in the left-right direction H are connected to the front outer fabric 64C together with the third opening/closing portion 80, and the central ends are connected to the front outer fabric 64C together with the opening/closing portion 28. The front pocket fabric portion 82 is provided with an operation window 50 (also called an insertion hole 76). The operation window 50 has an upper edge portion 68 and a lower edge portion 70. The upper edge portion 68 is connected to the front pocket fabric portion 82 at the upper end of the operation window 50 together with the second end portion 54. The lower edge portion 70 is connected to the front pocket fabric portion 82 at the lower end of the operation window 50. The front body 24C may have a front lining 66.
The free end side 56 of the connecting portion 16 has its free end 62 looped around the adjustment ring 60 and pulled out from the operation window 50, and the opposite side of the free end side 56 is inserted into the insertion hole 76, passing between the front outer fabric 64C and the front lining 66, and is connected to the back body 26 at the first end 52.
In the modified example (2), the garment 10C has an operating window 50 in a pocket 78 having an opening 79 on the outside of the front panel 24C, and the adjustment mechanism is exposed through the operating window 50. Therefore, a wearer of the garment 10C can operate the adjustment mechanism inside the pocket 80 through the opening 79 while the opening 28 of the front panel is closed. Furthermore, in the modified example (2), because the operating window 50 is located inside the pocket 78, the operating window 50 and the adjustment mechanism exposed from the operating window 50 can be hidden from the outside of the garment 10C.
The garment 10C shown in Figure 10 includes an opening on the front panel 24C, but this modified example (2) is not limited to this. The garment 10C does not have to have an opening on the front panel 24C, or it may have an opening under the armpit between the front and back panels.
Although the garment 10C shown in Figure 10 describes a case where the front pocket portion 82 is formed from two front pockets 85 and 86, this modified example (2) is not limited to this, and the front pocket portion may be formed from a single front pocket 85.

In the above embodiment, the garment body 12 was described as having a front lining 66 and a back lining 48, but the present invention is not limited to this. The garment body 12 does not have to have a front lining 66 and a back lining 48, or it may have only one of them.

The adjustment mechanism has been described in the case where it is provided closer to the second end 54 than the longitudinal center of the connecting portion 16, but the present invention is not limited to this. The adjustment mechanism may be provided at the longitudinal center of the connecting portion 16 or closer to the first end 52 than the center.

In the above embodiment, the operation window 50 was described as being provided on the front panels 24A, 24B, and 24C, but the present invention is not limited to this. The operation window 50 may be provided at a position corresponding to the position of the adjustment mechanism, and may be provided on the back panel 26. The operation window 50 may also be provided on the back outer fabric 44 or back lining 48 of the back panel 26.

In the above embodiment, the case where the connecting portion 16 has an adjustment mechanism was described, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the connecting portion 16 may be a belt with a predetermined length between the first end 52 and the second end 54, which are the two ends in the longitudinal direction. That is, the garment may connect the first end of a belt of the predetermined length to the inside of the back panel below the storage portion, and connect the second end to the inside of the garment body in front of and above the first end. In this case, the predetermined length refers to the length at which the back panel can fit snugly against the wearer's body when the garment is worn with luggage stored in the storage portion.

In the above embodiment, the connecting portion 16 was described as being located inside the garment body 12. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and it may also be located outside the garment body 12. That is, the first end 52 of the connecting portion 16 may be connected to the outside of the back panel 26 below the storage portion 14, and the second end 54 of the connecting portion 16 may be connected to the outside of the garment body 12 in front of and above the first end 52.

In the above embodiment, the case where the second end 54 is connected to the front panels 24A, 24B, and 24C has been described, but the present invention is not limited to this. The second end 54 may be connected to the back panel 26, as long as it is in front of and above the garment body 12 compared to the first end 52. Specifically, the second end 54 may be connected to the shoulder portion of the back panel near the front panel, and to the underarm portion of the back panel near the front panel.

In the above embodiment, the second end portion 54 was described as being connected to the front and above the garment body 12 from the first end portion 52, but the present invention is not limited to this. The second end portion 54 may be connected to the upper part of the garment body 12 from the first end portion 52, for example, between the shoulder joint where the shoulders of the back and front body portions meet and the first end portion 52.

A garment having a garment body, a storage section, and a connecting section,
The garment body has a front panel and a back panel,
The aforementioned storage compartment is provided in the back of the garment,
The connecting portion is a strip-shaped member provided on the left and right sides of the garment body, and has a first end and a second end at each end in the longitudinal direction.
The first end is fixed to the back of the garment below the storage section.
