[Detailed description of the invention] Cream-like derusting agents containing phosphoric acid as a main component and an inorganic or organic thickener added thereto are known, but these derusting agents do not have degreasing ability. Therefore, if there is oil adhering to the rusted surface, it is necessary to degrease it in advance. Also, since the main component is phosphoric acid, the rust removal power is weak, so it is difficult to remove rust from strong mill scale (black scale), welding scale, etc. was difficult.

The present invention solves these shortcomings of conventional cream-based rust removing agents, has both excellent degreasing ability and extremely strong rust removing power, does not cause hydrogen embrittlement during rust removal, and does not cause rust removal. The second objective is to provide an ideal gel-like derusting agent that can prevent the recurrence of rust.

The configuration of the present invention will be explained as follows. As the acid component, an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution is used. Any concentration can be used, but preferably a concentration of 7 to 20% (hereinafter all expressed as weight % based on the final product) is used. It is also possible to use one or more of phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, and nitric acid added thereto. As carbon hydrogen chloride,
One type or a mixture of two or more types of chlorinated hydrocarbon organic solvents such as methylene chloride, trichloroethylene, trichloroethane, perchlorethylene, etc. is used, and the amount of the components is arbitrary, but preferably 20 to 50% is used. Ru.
Any surfactant can be used as an emulsifier for mixing and emulsifying a hydrochloric acid aqueous solution and a chlorinated hydrocarbon to form an emulsion, but preferably 1 to 5% of polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ether is used. A polyoxyethylene adduct of N-alkyltrimethylene diamine is added in an amount of 0.5 to 3% for the purpose of suppressing acid corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement during derusting and preventing the re-occurrence of rust after derusting. If the amount added is less than 0.5%, the above effect will not be sufficient, and if it is more than 3%, the rust removal rate will be reduced, which is not preferable. In order to gel the above emulsion solution, 10 to 30% of colloidal silica powder is mixed and suspended, and further 3 to 10% of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone is mixed and suspended.
Upon addition and mixing, gelation occurs and a very stable and transparent gel with good thixotropy is formed.

The present inventor has discovered the phenomenon that the addition of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone causes an opaque suspension of colloidal silica to form a transparent gel with good thixotropy and extremely good stability, and has developed the present invention. This is an application. If the amount of the colloidal silica powder mixed in is less than 10%, gel formation will be insufficient, and if it is more than 30%, the fluidity of the gel will deteriorate, which is not preferable.

When the gel-like rust remover of the present invention is applied to a rusted iron surface coated with machine oil or anti-corrosion oil, the synergy between the chlorinated hydrocarbon contained therein, the organic solvent of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, and the surfactant is activated. As a result, oil can be quickly dissolved and iron rust can be dissolved and removed extremely quickly at the same time.

The extremely strong derusting ability of the gel-like derusting agent of the present invention against iron rust is a completely unexpected effect, and although it is still impossible to clearly explain its principle, it is possible that hydrochloric acid and chlorinated hydrocarbon The present inventors have discovered a phenomenon in which the coexistence of hydrochloric acid dramatically increases the rust removal ability compared to the case of hydrochloric acid alone, and has completed the present invention.

1570 hydrochloric acid thickened with colloidal silica to form a cream, and the gel-like derusting agent of the present invention, which also contains 15% hydrochloric acid, were applied to the mill scale soil of a hot-rolled steel sheet that had been degreased in advance. A comparison of their rust removal abilities showed that the one coated with only hydrochloric acid thickened with colloidal silica took 5 to 10 minutes to dissolve mill scale and remove rust, whereas the gel-based rust removal of the present invention If a rust agent is applied, only 3
The mill scale was completely dissolved in ~5 seconds, and rust removal was completed.

As is clear from this experimental example, the rust removing ability of the gel-like rust remover of the present invention is unexpectedly strong, the rust removal speed is rapid, and it is completely compared to conventional rust removers. It is highly novel and inventive. The gel-type rust remover of the present invention not only can easily remove rust and oil at the same time even when oil is attached to a rusted surface, but it also has the ability to remove rust easily with conventional paint-type rust removers. Mill scale, weld scale, etc., which were previously difficult, can be dissolved and removed extremely easily and quickly.
In the case of normal red rust, it can be removed almost instantly.

Furthermore, the gel-like rust remover of the present invention completely prevents acid corrosion of the iron base during rust removal, provides a shiny iron base, and completely prevents hydrogen embrittlement. In addition, if you wipe it off with cloth or paper after derusting, a monomolecular film of N-alkyltrimethylene diamine will form on the surface of the iron base, giving it water repellency and preventing the re-occurrence of rust. have As explained above, the gel-like rust remover of the present invention has extremely superior effects and is highly novel and inventive compared to conventional paint-type rust removers.
