This will be explained with reference to FIG. In FIG. 1, a plurality of conductors 2 are twisted together in a wire twisting machine 1 to form one conductor, compressed by a compression roll 3, and then molded by a molding die 4. During this compression and molding process, arrows indicate The formed conductor 7 is passed through a capstan 4 which is driven by tension as shown in FIG.
It's like it's being wound up. In this case, since the processing was carried out at room temperature, the surface of the molded conductor T was subjected to work hardening although a work shear heat was generated on the surface.

The molding die 4 is abraded due to the cold compression, and the surface of the molded conductor T is therefore roughened due to die abrasion. Further, the molded surface of the molded conductor 7 is work-hardened to promote die wear, and the work-hardened molded surface becomes a hard copper wire, increasing conductor resistance. Furthermore, since only the compressed surface is work hardened, there is a limit to heavy compression, and there are also drawbacks such as increased tensile scorch during compression molding. The present invention was made in view of the above-mentioned situation, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for compression molding a conductor, which enables heavy compression, prevents die wear, and improves the processed surface.

The compression molding method of a conductor of the present invention is such that when a plurality of conductors are twisted together in a wire twisting machine, compressed sequentially through compression rolls, and then molded by a molding die, the molding by the molding die is performed. This method is carried out after the conductor is heated with electricity to soften it.

In addition, 8 is a diaphragm die. Then, when the formed conductor 7 is compression-molded by the capstan 5 in tension, the formed conductor 7 is connected from the power source 12 to the forming die 4 and the brush 13 from the part where the formed conductor 7 comes into contact with the forming die 4 to the forming conductor on the twisting machine 1 side. 7 is energized to form circuits A, B, C, and D shown in the figure.

For this reason, a large current is passed between the forming die 4 and the formed conductor 7, and the generated Joule heat instantly softens the formed conductor 7, annealing only the surface, reducing the conductor resistance during drawing, and forming the conductor. easily done. That is, in FIG. 3, the portion E formed by the forming die 4 is softened and heavy compression becomes possible, the wear of the forming die 4 is reduced, and the surface of the formed conductor 7 is prevented from becoming rough. Therefore, the conductor resistance during molding is small, and as a result, a design with a reduced outer diameter is possible. In this way, in the conductor compression molding method of this embodiment, the molded conductor is heated immediately before molding to actively soften it before molding, making molding easier and reducing die wear compared to room-temperature processing. The molding surface of the conductor is improved and heavy compression becomes possible.

Then, the pulling force is reduced and the strain of the material to be compressed is reduced, thereby contributing to quality improvement.Furthermore, when used for compressing thin objects, the conductor 2 can become a conductor in which the boundary parts 15 and 16 of FIG. 4 are lightly fused. In addition, energization heating compression is a method of shaping based on the relative softening difference between the shaping die and the material to be compressed, and it is possible to form components of materials that are difficult to compress or draw. As described above, according to the method for compression molding a conductor of the present invention, heavy compression is possible, die wear can be prevented, and the processed surface can be improved.
