The encoder 5 of the facsimile storage and conversion device 3 provided in the communication network performs redundancy suppression encoding to compress the amount of information and store it in the storage device 7. The transmission communication information 22 and 23 are transferred at high speed by the transfer device 9 to the facsimile storage and conversion device 4 on the receiving side, and after being received by the transfer device 10 on the receiving side, the information is stored in the storage device 8 in the reverse procedure of the sending side. , when sent to the facsimile terminal 2, the redundancy suppressed encoded information is decoded by the decoder 6, whereby the received messages 24 and 25 are delivered to the facsimile terminal 2.

The facsimile storage and conversion devices 3 and 4 in the conventional system of this kind are devices commonly used by a large number of subscribers, and in order to improve their processing capacity, the performance of the storage devices 7 and 8 used for this is limited to access time. was required to be short.

高めたものである。For this reason, a relatively expensive memory such as a bubble memory, for example, has been used as a storage device for this purpose. In such a system, since memory is expensive, it is necessary to reduce the time the message spends in the communication network as much as possible. In consideration of this, there is a major drawback in terms of service in that it is necessary to limit the manuscript length of the correspondence input from the facsimile terminal 1 to the communication network and the number of manuscripts of the correspondence. Furthermore, if the amount of information stored in the storage devices 7 and 8 within the communication network is unevenly distributed, there is also a drawback that the throughput within the communication network decreases. In order to eliminate these drawbacks, the present invention provides a memory-intensive IJ storage system that has a storage device in the communication network that is inexpensive and has a larger storage capacity than the storage device in the terminal-compatible facsimile storage and conversion device. By installing a conversion device and combining it with a facsimile storage and conversion device compatible with the terminal, it is possible to ease the restrictions on the length of the correspondence input from the facsimile terminal to the communication network and the number of manuscript sheets of the correspondence, improving serviceability. In addition to this, it also eliminates uneven distribution of information within the communication network and increases the throughput of the communication network.

The encoder 5 sequentially performs redundancy suppression coding and stores it in the storage device 7, and performs redundancy suppression coding every time a certain document length of a long message (for example, one page of A4 size) is encoded. The unitized transfer communication information 31 to 37 is transferred to the facsimile storage and conversion device 13 every time the amount of encoded codes reaches a certain amount.

0をファクシミリ端末2に送出するものとする。The facsimile storage and conversion device 13 stores the received transfer communication information in the large capacity storage device 16. When the facsimile storage and conversion device 13 notifies the facsimile storage and conversion device 4 that a message for a certain destination has been stored, the transfer device 15 notifies the facsimile storage and conversion device 4 of the destination facsimile terminal 2. When the connection state is detected and the facsimile storage/conversion device 4 and the facsimile terminal 2 become connectable, the facsimile storage/conversion device 4 sends a message transfer request signal 50 to the facsimile storage/conversion device 13. In accordance with the timing of this request, the large-capacity storage device 16 of the facsimile storage and conversion device 13 first stores unitized transfer communication information 41 corresponding to the unitized transfer communication information 31 from the transfer device 15 through the transfer device 10 into the storage device 8. The decoder 6 decodes the original received message 4.
It is decoded as part of the beginning of 0 and sent to facsimile terminal 2.
will be sent to. Generally, the reception recording speed of the facsimile terminal 2 is slower than the transfer speed of communication information transferred between the transfer device 15 and the transfer device 10.
The transmission state is monitored, and the transfer request signal 50 is stored and converted into a facsimile again so that the next unitized transfer communication information 42 to 47 is transferred so that the received communication 40, which is sent while being decoded at the time of transmission, is not interrupted. The control device 17 of the facsimile storage/conversion device 13 determines how to transmit the unit transfer communication information 42 to 47 from the large capacity storage device 16 to the device 13 or the timing of transferring the unit transfer communication information 42 and thereafter. autonomously determines and unitizes transfer communication information 4
22, unit transfer communication information 41 to 47 is sequentially transferred to the facsimile storage/conversion device layer 4 by the method of transferring general data, and the control device 12 unitizes and transfers communication information 41 to 47 so that the received communication 40 becomes one document.
While assembling (editing) the message 4 received by the decoder 6,
It is sent to the facsimile terminal 2 as an original message such as 0. Further, if sending to the facsimile terminal 2 is temporarily impossible due to a reason such as the facsimile terminal 2 being busy, the control device 12 of the facsimile storage/converting device 4 waits for a period of time and then sends the data to the facsimile terminal 2 again. When the connection is possible, the transfer request signal 50 is sent.
After that, the received message 4 is sent by the same operation as described above.
0 is sent to the facsimile terminal 2.

The storage device can be used effectively.

Since the timing of the communication is regulated and it is possible to adjust the messages staying in the same device, there is an advantage that uneven distribution of the amount of information in expensive storage devices in the communication network can be eliminated and the throughput in the communication network can be increased.

In a facsimile communication system in which a facsimile storage and conversion device having functions such as redundancy reduction encoding and storage of facsimile messages is provided in a communication network, a memory-intensive facsimile storage and conversion device having a storage device in the communication network is provided. By combining this with a terminal-compatible facsimile storage and conversion device, the communication including long messages input to the communication network is coded with redundancy reduction in units of appropriate length, and then transferred to the memory-intensive type. When it is delivered to a facsimile terminal, the facsimile storage and conversion device on the delivery side monitors the connection status of the facsimile terminal, and when it becomes possible to connect to the facsimile terminal, the memory-intensive facsimile A transfer request is issued to the storage/conversion device, and in accordance with this timing, the transfer communication information encoded with redundancy suppression is transferred in units of appropriate length, and the transfer communication information is decoded into the original communication by the facsimile storage/conversion device on the transfer side. A facsimile communication system characterized by assembly and delivery.
