して詳細に説明する。Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 1, a wet powder material 2 containing octopus is extruded from between the rolling rolls 1 and 1 as a manufacturing method for applying wrinkles in the rolled sheet tobacco manufacturing process, and then the product is passed through a doctor knife 4 for wrinkles. A method of peeling off is known as Japanese Patent Publication No. 48-59m. The wrinkled sheet tobacco produced by the above-mentioned conventional method has fine wrinkles with an interval of 0.1 to 0.2 TfgIL as shown in FIG. In contrast, the present invention aims to obtain larger wrinkled sheet tobacco as shown in FIG. 3 by selecting a binder. The use of alginic acid compounds as binders for rolled sheet tobacco is known from Japanese Patent Publication No. 38-25748, etc., but the present inventors have developed sheet cigarettes for the above purpose by selecting various alginic acid compounds and their blending ratios. This discovery led to the present invention. Hereinafter, a detailed description will be given with reference to Examples.

, Glyoxal was used as a water-resistant agent and mixed in the proportions shown in Table 1, and water was added and mixed so that the moisture content was 30% to prepare wet powder 2. The sheet tobacco 3 is placed between the rolling rolls 1 and 1 which are rotating in opposite directions at a circumferential speed of 75 m/-, and the sheet tobacco 3 that has been formed on the rolling rolls is peeled off using a doctor knife 4. It was cut into pieces of length m to produce chopped tobacco. The increase in swelling due to the occurrence of wrinkles was determined by putting the cut tobacco 15y into a cylindrical container with an inner diameter of 72-, compressing it at a constant rate of O, 5wgn/sec, and when the stress reached 250y/Cli. The volume of
Table 1 shows the increase in volume when the sheet tobacco produced by the invention method of the publication was operated in the same manner as the above-mentioned shredded tobacco.

理化学的性質によると推定される。As is clear from the examples in Table 1, when alginate propylene glycol ester is used as a binder, when the blending ratio is 4 to 10%, the formation of wrinkles as shown in Figure 3 is noticeable, and the swelling increased by 9 to 15% compared to conventional wrinkled sheet cigarettes. On the other hand, when sodium alginate or potassium alginate was used, no eyelash wrinkles were formed and the swelling properties were inferior to conventional wrinkled sheet cigarettes. . These differences depending on the type of binder are presumed to be due to the physicochemical properties of the binder, such as its fluidity, adhesive strength, and shrinkage force.

た。In the present invention, by selecting the type and amount of the binder at a higher blending ratio than the conventional practical blending ratio, when the sheet 3 adhered to the forming roll 1 is peeled off with the doctor knife 4, This increases the resistance and makes it possible to obtain a wrinkled sheet having the shape shown in FIG. According to the present invention, it is possible to solve the drawbacks of the prior art in which wrinkles are less likely to occur or wrinkles do not occur due to the angle at which the doctor knife is applied. It is now possible to obtain sheet tobacco with relatively large wrinkles in the shape shown in FIG. 3 without using a peeling knife, and thereby it is possible to provide rolled sheet tobacco with high swelling properties. It became.
