Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はフエノール繊維製シート材を主体とす
る大口径ガスケツトに関するものである。

一般にガスケツトは、一枚のガスケツト材を打
抜いて製造しており、使用するガスケツト材の大
きさ、或いは、打抜機械等の設備装置によつて製
造できるガスケツトの最大口径が制限されてい
た。

製造する場合には巨大な製造設備を必要とし、大
口径のガスケツトを簡便に得ることはできなかつ
た。

そこで本発明は寸法の小さなシート材にて大口
径ガスケツトの分割片を形成し、該分割片を継ぎ
合せて大口径のガスケツトを製造することにより
安価に提供できるばかりでなく、一体成形品と同
様の強度並びにシール機能を有し、ガスケツト材
料として最も好ましいフエノール繊維を主体とす
る大口径ガスケツトを提供しようとするものであ
る。

以下本発明の一実施例を図面に基づいて詳述す
る。第1図〜第3図において1は円形の弗素樹脂
含浸のフエノール繊維製大口径ガスケツトであ
り、このガスケツトを円周方向に分割した分割形
状に相当する円弧状の分割片2,2,2をそれぞ
れ第2図に示すように弗素樹脂含浸のフエノール
繊維製シート材3から打抜くか又は切り抜いて形
成し、各分割片2の合口部2aを洗浄した後、第
3図イに示すように合口部2aの上下両面にそれ
ぞれポリイミドフイルム4を貼り付け、つづいて
第3図ロのように合口部2a,2a間にFEPフ
イルムPAFフイルム或いはPTFEのデイスパージ
ヨン等の弗素樹脂から成る融着材5を介在させ、
さらに上下のポリイミドフイルム4,4の外周に
別のポリイミドフイルム4′,4′を貼り付け、右
方の分割片2を第3図ハに示すよう融着装置6の
固定台7に固定する。

なお、弗素樹脂は耐熱性を有しており、分割片
2のもつ耐熱性とがあいまつて、すぐれた耐熱性

以上実施例に示すように本発明に係る大口径ガ
スケツトは弗素樹脂含浸のフエノール繊維製シー
ト材にて大口径のガスケツトの分割片を形成し、
該分割片を継ぎ合せて形成したものであり、定尺
寸法の小さなシート材を用いて形成でき、しかも
このシート材より形成すべき分割片は小さく任意
の位置に配置が可能であり、シート材を有効に利
用できて材料コストが嵩まず安価に提供できる。

着材を介在し、相対応した合口部を結合構造とし
た大口径ガスケツト。
