The electric cord reel according to the present invention constructed as described above is used as follows. First, when the electric cord 4 is pulled out as shown in FIG. 5, the tip end 4b of the cord is held and pulled, so the rotating body 2 tends to rotate in the direction of arrow A. The locking piece 9 of the locking lever 6 at the position A shown by the two-dot chain line is moved into the locking recess 1d by the rotational force of the rotating barrel 2 and the biasing force of the locking lever 6 in the direction of arrow C'. The locking piece 9 is rotated in the direction of arrow G while being supported in contact with the ring, and the tip 9a of the locking piece 9 moves away from the outer circumferential surface 1e of the annular inner circumferential wall 1c, and conversely, the tip 6a of the locking lever 6 moves away from the outer circumferential surface 1e. It approaches surface 1e. When the electric cord 4 is continued to be pulled, the outer circumferential surface 9b of the locking piece 9 near the pivot portion slides into contact with the outer circumferential surface 1e of the annular inner circumferential wall 1c, passing through the position B and reaching the position C in FIG. 6. Move up to. When the position C is reached, the tip 11 of the rod 11
a is supported by the support portion 13a of the notch step portion 13 after the collision, the rod 11 rotates in the direction of the arrow H, and at the same time, the tip 6a of the locking lever 6 also rotates in the direction of the arrow L. Locking piece 9 that has lost the reaction force from the outer peripheral surface 1e
is automatically rotated in the direction of arrow J by the reverse rotational force of the torsion spring 10. When the electric cord 4 is subsequently pulled out, the rod 11 is stopped from rotating in the direction of arrow H by the stopper 6f, passes through position D and moves to position E, and thereafter continues in the direction of arrow A. Continue moving. Therefore, the rotary drum 2 rotates smoothly in the direction of arrow A without being hindered, and the electric cord 4 is smoothly drawn out. After pulling out the electrical cord 4 by the required length, when the pulling force applied to the electrical cord 4 is released, the rotating body 2 rotates in the direction of arrow B in FIG. 6 due to the reverse rotational force of the helical spring 3. Therefore, the tip portion 11a of the rod 11 reaches the support portion 14a of the notch step portion 14 shown in the position shown in FIG. As a result, the rod 11 rotates in the direction of the arrow K and reaches the position G, and the tip end 9a of the locking piece 9 comes into contact with the outer circumferential surface 1e of the annular inner circumferential wall 1c. The tip portion 9a of the locking piece 9 that is in contact with the outer circumferential surface 1e continues to slide in the direction of arrow B while pressing the outer circumferential surface 1e due to the repulsive force of the compression spring 8, and fits into the locking recess 1d (the second 7), the rotating barrel 2 is prevented from rotating in the direction of arrow B by the engagement between the locking piece 9 and the locking recess 1d, so the electric cord 4 is not wound up. , the state in which the required length of the electrical cord is pulled out of the reel is maintained.

Next, when winding up the electric cord 4, as shown in FIG. 5, first pull out the electric cord 4 a little and move the locking lever 6 from the engagement position to the position A and then to the position B as described above. Then, the outer circumferential surface 9b of the locking piece 9 is brought into contact with the outer circumferential surface 1e of the annular inner circumferential wall 1c. When you let go of your hand in this state, the rotating body 2 that winds up the electric cord 4 starts rotating in the direction of arrow B due to the repulsive elastic force accumulated in the helical spring 3.
The locking lever 6 continues to rotate while maintaining the state shown in B without being prevented from moving in any way.
In this way, the rotary drum 2 rotates smoothly in the direction of the arrow B without any hindrance, and winds up all the electric cord pulled out from the reel.

As described in detail above, according to the present invention, the electric cord can be easily pulled out and automatically wound by simply adjusting the force for pulling the electric cord out of the reel. The required lock release mechanism of the lock lever can be omitted. Therefore, the electric cord reel of the present invention has a simpler structure than conventional products, and there is no risk of applying excessive external force to the locking lever, so the failure rate can be significantly reduced. It has excellent advantages.
