In a product that reveals a pattern by wefting a pattern thread made of foil thread (sometimes referred to as Hikihaku by those skilled in the art), which is cut foil obtained by slitting,
This paper relates to a method for forming three-dimensional patterns in textiles that give the patterns three-dimensionality.

A method is known in which a part of the surface is acid-corroded to create irregularities (Utility Model Publication No. 30453/1983). However, since such conventional methods concavely erode only the surface portion of the picture weft, the three-dimensional pattern revealing effect cannot be produced over the entire thickness of the picture weft, and the three-dimensional pattern is not necessarily effectively revealed.

The method is characterized in that a cut foil base material made of a sheet of an appropriate material on which a backing layer of paper or the like is formed is slit into narrow widths, and pattern threads made of foil threads are wefted in a predetermined order.

で行えばよい。 In the present invention, the patterned thread made of the foil thread is provided with an arbitrary pattern on the surface, and a backing layer made of synthetic resin, paper, etc. is formed only on the back surface of the portion corresponding to the pattern. In use, this pattern thread is used in the order in which the pattern applied to the surface of the cut foil substrate is to be reproduced on the fabric, i.e. in a method known per se, known to those skilled in the art as the sequential technique. The weft insertion is carried out sequentially in the order of the positions occupied in the cut foil substrate before the pattern threads are slit, according to the technique of drawing the pattern yarn or the sequential drawing technique using a gripper loom. In the present invention, this weft insertion is
When driving the weft threads that constitute the ground structure of the fabric together with the warp threads, the weft threads are aligned with the weft threads, and the positioning of the partial pattern of the pattern threads in the width direction of the fabric is carried out using the conventional method, that is, the above-mentioned sequential drawing technique or the sequential drawing technique using a gripper loom. This can be done in the same way as the standard weft insertion method.

Since a backing layer made of , paper, etc. is formed, the thickness of the backing layer creates a raised state and a three-dimensional pattern is formed. In this case, the entire patterned portion of the patterned thread is lifted by the backing layer, so the entire thickness of the patterned thread contributes to imparting three-dimensionality to the revealed pattern, and only the patterned portion of the patterned thread itself is non-existent. It rises up against the pattern area, and the three-dimensional pattern can be effectively revealed by the pattern threads.

面の色による装飾効果も加わる。 In the present invention, if the color of the backing layer on the back side of the part corresponding to the pattern part of the cut foil base material is set to a different color from the base yarn of the fabric, the color of the cut surface of the backing layer of the pattern yarn in the woven ivy fabric can be changed. It also adds a decorative effect.

される。 In the figure, 1 is the cut foil base material (see Figure 1),
A pattern 2 of an arbitrary pattern is applied to its surface. The material sheet for the cut foil base material 1 may be made of an appropriate material, that is, Japanese paper, plastic sheet, etc., in the same way as the material sheet for drawn foil inserted by the conventional sequential drawing technique. . A backing layer 3 made of synthetic resin, paper, etc. is formed only on the back side of the cut foil base material 1 at a portion corresponding to two portions of the pattern on the front surface. The above-mentioned pattern 2 may be formed by any suitable means, but one preferable method is the stencil printing method obtained by the invention of JP-A No. 53-6108, which is an earlier invention of the present inventor. When producing an original plate, that is, an original plate for stencil printing, a photocurable liquid resin is filled in the space surrounded by a screen and a frame placed on the screen, and both the front and back surfaces of the composite of the screen and resin are manufactured. Light is irradiated through the original from one side to harden the photocurable liquid resin in the areas corresponding to the original design, and then the uncured resin is removed. Using the resulting stencil printing master, stencil printing is performed. A method for forming pattern 2 can be mentioned. Backing layer 3
may be formed by any appropriate means. A metal layer may be formed on the surface of the cut foil base material 1 by an appropriate means prior to forming the pattern 2. The backing layer 3 is provided with a color different from the base yarn of the fabric, if necessary.

In this way, the cut foil base material 1 becomes a semi-finished product 5 (see FIG. 2) for obtaining pattern thread a (see FIG. 3).

The pattern threads a are cut in the order in which the cuts 4... are arranged in parallel, and the pattern threads a are sequentially wefted in the order of cutting according to a conventionally known sequential pulling technique or a sequential pulling technique using a gripper loom. The weft insertion is carried out in alignment with the ground warp threads 6 (see Fig. 4) and the ground weft threads 7 (see Fig. 4) which constitute the ground texture of the fabric. The positioning of the pattern yarn portion pattern 2' in the weft insertion of the pattern yarn a in the width direction of the fabric is performed in accordance with a conventional method.
