に、仕上工程においては動植物油脂を使用して加
脂処理を行うことが多く、この場合相当量の動植
物油脂が製品のバンド表面や内部に残留するが、
このような時計バンドを長期間使用すれば、皮膚
からの汗や熱によつて油脂が分解して脂肪分解生
成物を生じ、この結果、時計バンドの表面や内部
に雑菌の繁殖に好適な環境を形成し易く、また、
天然皮革はそれ自体が多孔質であるため、皮膚か
らの汗や脂等が付着残留して雑菌の繁殖に好適な
雰囲気を形成し易い。このため、カビ等の雑菌が
繁殖してその毒素により“かぶれ”が発生した
り、かぶれた部分を化膿させたりすることがあ
る。

滲み込み、殺菌剤が皮革から剥離することがなく
表面処理剤で保護され、長年月にわたつて確実に
皮膚のかぶれ防止効果を持続できる皮膚かぶれ防
止時計バンドを提供することを目的とするもので
