A sheathed heater has a completed heating wire connected to a terminal bar and a heating wire coil in the center of a covered metal pipe.
The surrounding area is filled with heat-resistant electrical insulation.
The manufacturing method is to place a completed heating wire in which terminal rods are connected to both ends of a heating wire coil in the center of a covered metal pipe, and to fill the surrounding area with a heat-resistant electrical insulator.
Thereafter, the sheathed heater is completed by simultaneously reducing the diameter of the sheathed metal pipe, the completed heating wire, and the heat-resistant electric insulator disposed inside the pipe.

A conventional completed heating wire used in manufacturing the sheathed heater is shown in FIG. 1 is a heating wire coil made of nichrome wire or the like. Reference numeral 2 denotes metal terminal rods attached to both ends of the heating wire coil 1, which are made of iron, stainless steel, or the like. The terminal bar 2 has a threaded portion 3 with one end threaded. The heating wire coil 1 and the terminal bar 2 are connected by screwing the heating wire coil 1 into the threaded portion 3 of the terminal bar 2 a certain number of times, and then welding the heating wire coil 1 to the terminal bar 2.
Weld and fix. Note that 4 is a welded portion between the terminal bar 2 and the heating wire coil 1. In this way, the terminal rods 2 are attached to both ends of the heating wire coil 1 to produce a completed heating wire. In the manufacturing process of a sheathed heater, when the completed heating wire is placed in the center of the sheathed metal pipe and the surrounding area is filled with a heat-resistant electrical insulator such as magnesia, the heating wire coil 1 is formed as shown in FIG. It's like being stretched out so strongly. For this reason, the heating wire coil 1 is partially removed from the tip of the threaded portion 3 provided on the terminal bar 2. Further, when the diameter of the sheathed metal pipe is greatly reduced together with the completed heating wire and the heat-resistant insulating material in the sheathed metal pipe, the sheathed metal pipe is elongated by 15 to 20%. At this time, the heating wire coil 1 is also strongly stretched, so
The heating wire coil 1 had the disadvantage that it could come off the tip of the threaded portion 3 of the terminal bar 2.

The heating wire coil 1 is connected from the tip of the threaded part 3 of the terminal bar 2.
As a result of this coming off during the manufacturing process, the electrical resistance of the completed heating wire was approximately 3 to 6% higher than the set value, resulting in variations in electrical resistance.

To prevent this, the welded part 4 between the terminal bar 2 and the heating wire coil 1 is provided near the inner tip of the threaded part 3, thereby improving the drawback that the heating wire coil 1 may come off from the terminal bar 2. . However, since the heating wire coil 1 is deformed during welding, if tension is applied to the heating wire coil 1, the heating wire coil 1
Since tension is directly applied to the welded portion 4 of the terminal bar 2, a problem has arisen in which the heating wire coil 1 may be disconnected at the welded portion 4 of the terminal bar 2 and the heating wire coil 1 during the manufacturing process.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, and the part of the heating wire coil at the connection part between the terminal bar and the heating wire coil is heated by the tension applied during the manufacturing process of the sheathed heater.
To provide a sheathed heater using a completed heating wire that is prevented from coming off.

FIG. 3 is a sectional view of a sheathed heater showing an embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 3, 11 is a heating wire coil, and 12 is a terminal bar having a threaded portion 13 at one end. Both ends of the heating wire coil 11 are screwed into the threaded portion 13 of the terminal bar 12 a certain number of times. Reference numeral 14 denotes a metal tube provided around the outer periphery of the heating wire coil 11 at the portion screwed into the threaded portion 13, and the inner diameter of this metal tube 14 is the same as or slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the heating wire coil 11 at the screwed portion. It is made to large dimensions. That is, due to the stretching force applied to the heating wire coil 11 during the manufacturing process, a part of the heating wire coil 11 is made to have an inner diameter that is a gap that does not exceed the thread of the threaded portion 13 of the terminal bar 12. Further, the metal tube 14 is made of a metal whose expansion coefficient is smaller than that of the terminal rod 12. Further, the metal tube 14 and the heating wire coil 11 are welded and fixed to the terminal bar 12. Note that 15 indicates a welded portion. 16 is a sheathed metal pipe. A heat-resistant electrical insulator 17, such as magnesia, is filled between the completed heating wire consisting of the heating wire coil 11, the terminal bar 12, and the metal tube 14 and the sheathed metal pipe 16, and the end of the sheathed metal pipe 16 is sealed. It is sealed with a material 18.

As is clear from the above configuration, the completed heating wire in which the heating wire coil 11 is connected to the terminal bar 12 does not come off the threaded groove of the threaded portion 13 of the terminal bar 12 due to the metal tube 14 even if tension is applied during the sheathed heater manufacturing process. Never. Instead of the metal tube 14 shown in FIG. 3, a ribbon-shaped metal plate may be wound around the heating wire coil 11 and welded in the same manner as described above. Further, by forming the metal tube 14 from a metal having an expansion coefficient smaller than that of the terminal bar 12, the connection between the terminal bar 12 and the heating wire coil 11 becomes even stronger when the sheathed heater is used.

As described above, in the sheathed heater of the present invention, a threaded part is provided at the inner end of the terminal bar, a heating wire coil is screwed into this threaded part, and a metal covering the outer periphery of the threaded part of the threaded heating wire coil is provided. A tube is provided and this metal tube is welded and fixed to the terminal rod, so during the manufacturing process of the sheathed heater, there is no need to fill the sheathed metal pipe with a heat-resistant electrical insulator or reduce the diameter of the sheathed metal pipe. In this case, even if the heating wire coil is stretched, the presence of the metal tube can reliably prevent the heating wire coil from coming off the terminal bar, and as a result, the manufacturing yield can be improved. Moreover, since the diameter of the metal tube is reduced at the same time as the outer metal pipe is reduced in diameter, the connection between the terminal bar and the heating wire coil becomes more reliable.
