この発明は、海息付着生物防除剤に関する。 さらに詳しくはこの発明は、 一般式 (式中Rは炭素原子数8〜18の飽和または不飽
和の鎖状脂肪族炭化水素、X+Y+Zは1〜15好
ましくは1〜2である) で表わされるN―モノ置換プロピレンジアミンの
エチレンオキサイド付加物またはその酸付加塩の
1種または2種以上を有効成分として含有する海
息付着生物防除剤に関する。 海水を利用する火力発電所や諸工場では、その
冷却水系統に海息生物(イガイことにムラサキイ
ガイ;フジツボ;ヒドロムシ;コケムシ;ホヤ
等)が付着してその機能を低下させている。中で
も、ムラサキイガイは重り合つて付着し、その成
長速度も早い。その為に一番下部に付着したムラ
サキイガイは栄養分や酸素の摂取が充分に行なえ
ず死滅する。ムラサキイガイは死滅により壁面に
付着していた足糸が弱くなり、水圧等によつて脱
落し、冷却チユーブの閉塞を引き起し、海水の通
水を妨げその機能を低下させる。 今回、このような問題を解決するものとして、
前記の一般式で示されるN―モノ置換プロピレン
ジアミンのエチレンオキサイド付加物またはその
酸付加塩が前記のような海息付着生物の成長を著
しく抑制することを見い出した。 この発明者等はN―モノ置換プロピレンジアミ
ンがイガイ、フジツボ、ヒドロムシ、コケムシ、
ホヤ等の海息生物に活性を有することを見出し、
さきに特願昭53―18800号の発明を提案したが、
今回、N―モノ置換プロピレンジアミンのエチレ
ンオキサイド付加物並びにその酸付加塩もまた海
息付着生物の付着成長時に、少量海水系統に添加
することにより、その成長を抑制し付着を防止し
うることを確認した。 この発明の海息付着生物防除剤に用いるN―モ
ノ置換プロピレンジアミンのエチレンオキサイド
付加物の具体例としてはドデシルプロピレンジア
ミン、ヘキサデシルプロピレンジアミン、オクタ
デシルプロピレンジアミン等、並びにヤシ油もし
くはヤシ脂肪、牛脂等から公知の手段により製造
されたヤシアルキルプロピレンジアミン、牛脂ア
ルキルプロピレンジアミン、硬化牛脂プロピレン
ジアミン等のような前述の式におけるRが炭素原
子数8〜18の範囲の飽和または不飽和の鎖状脂肪
族炭化水素基のものがその主要成分を占めるN―
モノ置換プロピレンジアミンの混合物(混合アミ
ン)のエチレンオキサイド付加物が挙げられる。
この発明においてエチレンオキサイドの付加モル
数については、前記一般式におけるX+Y+Z=
1〜15の範囲のものが防汚効果を有するが好まし
くは化学式中にアミノ基があるときさらに高い効
果を示す。故にX,Y,Zの何れかの1つまたは
2つが0であつて、X+Y+Zが1〜2であるエ
チレンオキサイド付加物が好ましい。ただこの場
合、化合物が水に難溶性であるが水溶性の酸付加
塩として用いることができる。このN―モノ置換
プロピレンジアミンのエチレンオキサイド付加物
の酸付加塩としては上記のようなN―モノ置換プ
ロピレンジアミンのエチレンオキサイド付加物と
塩酸、酢酸、蟻酸との酸付加塩が挙げられる。 この発明に係るN―モノ置換プロピレンジアミ
ンのエチレンオキサイド付加物またはその酸付加
塩の添加量は、一般に海水の流量に対し0.03〜
3ppmを1日1〜24時間注入すればよい。 この添加量は、化合物の種類により海息付着生
物に対する生理活性の強弱があるので、多少の増
減がある。また海息付着生物の発生量が特別多い
場合は、増量することが望まれる。 この発明の防除剤に用いるN―モノ置換プロピ
レンジアミンのエチレンオキサイド付加物または
その酸付加塩は、水、メタノール、エタノール、
ジメチルホルムアミド、メチルセルソルブ等で希
釈して使用するのが好ましい。 次に実施例を挙げてこの発明を説明する。 実施例 1 内径100mm、長さ2mの塩ビパイプに、試験網
を入れたテストプラントを用い、ムラサキイガイ
の付着期に30日間海水を一過式に通水(通水量約
5トン/時)し、各薬剤をケミカルポンプで注入
して、その時の付着生物(ムラサキイガイ、フジ
ツボ、ヒドロムシ、コケムシ)量をブランクと比
較した。結果は次表の通りである。
