小えびの皮をむき剥ぐには昭54年特許第967522
号(特公昭53−38240号)「小えび皮はぎ装置」及
び昭58年特許第1136753号(特公昭57−27696号)
「えび皮むき自動化装置」が提案されているが何
れも第1図に示すように硬質の太い皮はぎローラ
ー1,1の間に挾む金属性小ローラー2,2……
…の組み合せからなり、その構成される谷間にえ
びが流れるものであるが、えびを真上から上下に
押す装置が適切でなかつたため、むき効率が悪
く、むけ肌も良くないため生えびとしての商品価
値が落ち、更に尾部の関節がむけ残り検査時には
多くの手作業を要する欠点あり、又、尾皮のむけ
残りを無くしようとして強く押え付ければ、身割
れして傷物となり歩止りが非常に悪くなつて更に
商品価値下りすり身程度の活用道しかなくむけ効
率も50%を上回ることはなかつた。従つて人手の
指先でむくと同様に綺麗にむくためには、ローラ
ーの谷間にえびの足部を向けて指先で胴と尻尾を
平均に押し付け、垂皮をローラー間に噛み込ませ
て皮を剥せばよいが、これはえびの方向を目で見
て位置をきめ、適当な力を指先に加えてローラー
間に均等に当て、指先でえびの曲りをも修正する

応じた働きをする指先の熟練が必要となり、更
に、えびの一尾毎に指先と目を使うことはでき

ると同時に、谷溝上方の極軟ローラー3は上下運
動しながら1回転毎逆転運動をなす。そして皮は
ぎローラーと極軟ローラー3の表面移行方向をい
つも逆方向となすことにより、1回転毎回転方向
が変る度に第2,3図に示すようにえび4は金属
小ローラーの間に挾まれ込まれる側に左右位置を
変えて皮5をむき捨てる。6は固定壁でえびの飛
散落下を防ぐ。えびは死後硬直によつて背曲りを
生じ又大中小の大きさが混じり合つて居り、更に
皮も硬質軟質の差がある。これらのえびをローラ
ー上を滑降せしめるとき、いままでのように、上
下垂直の作動機構で上から押圧するだけでは、噛
合いローラーに腹部足部を向けさせることは出来
難たく、方向修正の確率が悪いのみならず曲りの
あるえび足を下方に向けて真直伸ばすことはでき
