る。 Normally, for example, seat covers for automobiles are made by inserting urethane foam between the decorative fabric or leather sheet that makes up the surface layer and the cotton fabric or nylon nonwoven fabric that makes up the lining, and then sewing them together using synthetic resin sewing thread. It is manufactured by sewing, so-called quilting, but in order to improve productivity, these materials are wound into a roll and are sequentially unwound and sewn continuously with a sewing machine to create a long sewn product. After that, a cutter device is used to cut the material to the required length according to the dimensions of the seat, etc.

In particular, since a double chainstitch sewing machine is used for this type of sewing, the upper thread and lower thread are likely to separate, and fraying of the sewing thread is fatal.

Alternatively, measures have been taken to prevent fraying by jetting high-temperature hot air from an air nozzle onto the sewing thread to weld the upper thread and lower thread to each other.

Recently, nylon-based nonwoven fabrics have been frequently used as linings for seat covers, which has had the disadvantage that the nonwoven fabrics melt before the sewing threads are welded by hot air.

ある。 The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and the present invention is made by applying an adhesive liquid to the sewing thread located at the location where the sewing product is to be cut using an applicator roll. In addition to preventing the adhesive from fraying, by contacting the circumferential surface of the coating roll with a spatula having a notched groove at the tip, the adhesive remains in a band shape only in a predetermined area of the coating roll and is sent between the coating roll and the coating roll. To provide a device for preventing thread fraying of a sewn article, which applies adhesive liquid only to predetermined portions of the sewn article by pinching and pressing the supplied sewn article at a position facing a belt-shaped adhesive liquid layer.

At the same time, the sewing product 8 that the pressure roll 24 has advanced toward the feed roll 23 side is pinched by the pressure roll 24 and the feed roll 23, so that it is pinched by both rolls 23 and 24. During the period, the sewing material 8 is fed by a fixed amount by the feeding roll 23. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5, on the back side of the sewing product 8, only the adhesive layer 9 adhering to the applicator roll 6 is formed into a strip for a certain distance, which is fed by the feed roll 23. is applied to.

is made into a disk shape so that only the sewing parts where the adhesive is to be applied are pressed against the applicator roll 6, so that the seams that were hidden by the urethane foam etc. can be removed by the applicator roll. The sewing thread is pushed out to the 6 side, and the adhesive liquid is reliably applied to the sewing thread. Further, by simply moving the pressure roll back from the coating roll side, it is possible to avoid applying the adhesive liquid to unnecessary areas. For example, in the embodiment, the adhesive liquid is applied depending on the driving time of the air cylinders 11, 11. The length can be adjusted arbitrarily. Note that the timing of driving the air cylinders 11, 11 is appropriately set in conjunction with the cutting machine side in accordance with the length of the sewing material 8 to be cut.
