の範囲に対応する長さを有し、かつキヤリツジの
摺動にともない前記所要本数の編針群と対応する
位置で、前記切替えカムを前記二位置の一方の位
置から他方の位置に切替え配置させるための作動

数の編針群と対応する位置で前記切替えカムを前
記二位置の一方の位置から他方の位置に切替え配
置させるための作動カムを備えた編針誘導装置に
おいて、前記キヤリツジに、前記作動カムに係合
して所定範囲内で移動する作動部材と、その作動
部材と前記切替えカムとの間に設けられ、かつそ
の両者を連動可能に連結してその作動部材の移動
により切替えカムを前記二位置間で移動させる状
態及びその両者の連結を解離させる状態に切替え
可能な接離手段とを設けたことにより、その接離
手段にて切替えカムと作動部材とが連結状態に切
替えられた場合には、キヤリツジの摺動にともな
い前記作動カムによつて切替えカムが一方の位置
から他方の位置に切替え配置され、作動カムに対
応した連続する所要本数の編針群についてのみ前
記両バツト通路の一方に誘導して他の編針群を他
方のバツト通路に導入させ、あるいは逆に、作動
カムに対応した連続する所要本数の編針群につい
てのみ前記他方のバツト通路に誘導して他の編針
群を一方のバツト通路に導入させることができ、
又、前記接離手段により切替えカムと作動部材と
の連結を解離させる状態に切替えられた場合に
は、前記編針群の誘導切替えを必要としない平編
等の編成において、誤つて作動カムが針床上に配
置されたり、あるいは前記の編針誘導切替えによ
つて置きわすれたままの状態でキヤリツジを摺動
させても、その作動カムにより切替えカムが切替
え作動されることはなく、作動カムの不意の作用
に基づく切替えカムの誤動作で編針のバツトの通
路が変更されることにより、誤つた編成が行われ
たり、切替えカムや作動カム等の諸部材に無理な
力が作用して、それらの部材を破損したりあるい
は編成動作に支障を来たしたりするおそれを確実
