Therefore, during fixing, the copy paper expands and contracts due to heating, and its flatness deteriorates. Therefore, the deterioration in flatness that occurs when copying onto the front side of the copy paper reduces the adhesion of the copy paper to the photoreceptor surface when copying onto the back side. the result,
The developed image cannot be transferred uniformly from the photoconductor surface to the copy paper, resulting in uneven transfer.

う問題点があつた。 Therefore, as shown in JP-A-51-16031, a pressure fixing device is used during surface copying to infiltrate toner particles into the transfer paper fibers to the extent that the toner does not peel off even when lightly touching the transfer paper. It was considered that temporary fixing would be performed, and that the pressure fixing device and heat fixing device described above would be used to completely fix the image when copying the back side, but since two types of fixing devices were used, the device would be large and consume a lot of energy, making it expensive. There was a problem.

The effect of the fixing device is reduced to maintain the flatness of the copy paper to which the image has been transferred to a level that does not cause uneven transfer when the image is further transferred to the back side, and then the image is transferred to the back side of the copy paper. The invention is characterized in that it transfers the image and sufficiently fixes it on the back surface using a fixing device.

A developed image obtained by supplying a developer from the developing device 2 is formed on its surface. Reference numeral 3 denotes a transfer device which transfers the developed image onto a copy sheet fed as shown by a chain line B via a registration roller 4. Reference numeral 5 denotes a paper feed roller provided above the paper feed tray 6, which rotates in the direction of arrow C to feed out copy sheets 7 one by one according to a predetermined cycle. A squeeze roller 8 is provided immediately after the developing device 2 and rotates in the direction of arrow D with a small gap between it and the photoreceptor drum 1 to remove excess developer on the photoreceptor drum 1 and apply static onto the copy paper 7. Even if electrotransfer is possible and the copy paper 7 contacts the photosensitive drum 1,
The developer is instantaneously absorbed into the copy paper 7 after the transfer, so that the copy paper 7 feels dry. 9 is a turn belt, and roller 1
The copy paper is peeled off from the photosensitive drum 1 by cooperation with the photosensitive drum 1, and is transported toward the gate 12 by the feed roller 11.

材質で構成されている。 Therefore, even if the paper is slightly pinched by the feed roller 11, offset will not easily occur.
Further, the feed roller 11 is also made of a material that does not easily cause offset.

ようにしてもよい。 Copy paper 7, both sides of which have not been copied, is fed from the paper feed tray 6 and transferred to the photosensitive drum 1 by the transfer device 3.
The above developed image is transferred to the surface, and the copy paper 7 after the transfer is kept in a dry state by the heaters 15 and 16.
However, when copying the front side, the heaters 15 and 16 are moved to the dotted line position, and when an image is further transferred to the back side, flatness is maintained to the extent that uneven transfer does not occur. The effect of the fixing device is reduced to the extent that the fixing device is used, and when copying on the back side, it is positioned as shown by the solid line, and both the front and back sides of the copy paper 7 that has been copied on both sides are sufficiently heated and fixed. ing. Heater 15, 16
Instead of placing the transfer paper at the position indicated by the dotted line, the heater may be turned off so that the solvent is thermally absorbed into the transfer paper and the copy paper is brought into a "primary dry state" after several seconds have elapsed.

とができる。(Effects) According to the present invention, excess developer on the photoreceptor is removed by a squeeze roller, and the developer is absorbed by the copy paper after the image has been transferred to the surface. When the image is further transferred to the back side of the copy paper, the effect of the fixing device is reduced to maintain the flatness to the extent that uneven transfer does not occur, and then the image is transferred to the back side of the copy paper and fixed. Since the device is designed to perform sufficient fixing on the back side, uneven transfer can be prevented when copying to the back side of copy paper, and the entire device can be made smaller and lighter, reducing energy consumption and providing it at a lower cost. .

写方法。1 Remove the excess developer on the photoconductor with a squeeze roller so that the developer is absorbed by the copy paper after the image has been transferred to the front surface, and the copy paper with the image transferred to the front side is further imprinted on the back side. Surface fixing is performed by reducing the effectiveness of the fixing device so that flatness can be maintained to the extent that uneven transfer does not occur during transfer.
