た。[Detailed Description of the Invention] A. Purpose of the Invention Conventionally made Janome umbrellas are made by pasting handmade washi paper on a madake frame, coloring it as appropriate, and applying cloth tampons with vegetable oils such as sesame oil and tung oil. After drying outdoors in the sun for a few days, the small bones were decorated with strings, and the outer surface of the folded main bones was lacquered for release, and the handles were wrapped in wisteria, but after being stored for several years, the bones remained in good shape. The entire paper was damaged by pests, which caused holes to appear and the umbrella became unusable, ending the life of the umbrella. However, it was discovered that natural fermented indigo liquid was effective as an insect repellent, and the entire umbrella was removed. I achieved that goal by dyeing it.

のである。(b) Structure of the invention The entire frame of Madake is soaked in boiling water for a while to kill insects and prevent staining from hand marks, then taken out and dried. It is then soaked in indigo liquid for 1 to 2 minutes, taken out, washed with water, and oxidized in the air, so it can be colored pale blue. . This process is repeated several times, and the framework is first finished. The washi paper used is of high quality handmade, but in order to prevent it from dissolving during indigo dyeing, it is soaked in konjac liquid beforehand and dried. The material is repeated many times until it has a suitable density, and then it is pasted onto the above-mentioned framework in the same way as a conventional umbrella.

Effects of the invention Indigo dyeing has been practiced since ancient times before the Heian period, and if we pay attention to the fact that Buddhist paintings such as mandalas and sutras made of navy blue paper and gold mud, which have been passed down to the present day, have remained completely undamaged by insects, we can see that they contain iron and other substances. It is used for the insect repellent effect of Japanese umbrellas, knowing that it will not be attacked by pests due to the presence of natural indigo. It is an invention based on chemical evidence. It adds even more color to the Japanese style of women.
