Since one or more vibrations may be applied to each step, if the number of steps is simply counted and displayed, the value will be higher than the actual number of steps.
It was not possible to accurately count the number of steps. In addition, in the case of a pedometer that also displays the walking or running distance, a dead band circuit is installed between the step sensor and the counter section to block the detection signal for a certain period of time and remove unnecessary pulses. In addition, there are devices that allow the blocking time to be switched, allowing counting from walking to running. However, since the blocking time is switched depending on the gait setting value, the gait may vary depending on individual differences, running pitch, etc. Because of the large fluctuations in the number of steps, there were still many errors in step counting.

機能を有している。 FIG. 1 is a circuit diagram showing one embodiment of the present invention, which is broadly classified into a step count sensor 1, a signal expansion circuit 2, a counter section 3, and a display section 4. The step sensor 1 has a pendulum 11 with a magnet 13 attached to its tip, which is swingably attached to the pendulum 11.
The pendulum 11 is kept horizontal in a stationary state by a spring 12, and is placed facing a magnet 13 at the tip of the pendulum, and when the magnet 13 approaches or moves away,
One end of the reed switch 14 that turns ON and OFF is connected to the positive terminal of the DC power source E, and the other end is led to the signal extension circuit 2 as an output terminal of the step count sensor 1.
In the signal expansion circuit 2, the cathode of a diode D whose anode is connected to the reed switch 14 is grounded via a capacitor C and connected to the changeover switch SW.
It is further connected via a resistor R3 to the base of a transistor T r1 whose emitter is grounded. In addition, resistors R 1 and R 2 with one end grounded are connected to the fixed terminal of the changeover switch SW, and either of the resistors R 1 or R 2 is connected in parallel with the capacitor C by operating the changeover switch SW. It's summery. On the other hand, the collector of the transistor T r1 is connected to the positive terminal of the DC power supply E via a resistor R 4 , and is also connected to the base of the transistor T r2 whose emitter is connected to the positive terminal of the DC power supply E via a resistor R 5 . , the collector of the transistor T r2 is grounded via a resistor R 6 and is also connected to the subsequent counter section 3 as an output terminal of the signal expansion circuit 2 . The counter section 3 and display section 4 are composed of digital elements, display elements, etc., although their specific circuit configurations are not shown, and have the function of counting and displaying the number of input pulses.

This detection signal a becomes a waveform with a gentle trailing edge as shown in b by an integrating circuit constituted by a resistor R 1 or R 2 selected by a changeover switch SW and a capacitor C. In the figure, v indicates the ON level of the transistor T r1 . When the signal b falls below this level, the transistor T r1 turns OFF, its collector point c changes to the "H" level, and the constant of the integrating circuit is set appropriately. If selected, the ON level v of the transistor T r1 will change after the pulse P 1 disappears and before the pulse P 2 is generated.
, and one pulse can be extracted per step. Also, since the signal c is a negative pulse, after being inverted and amplified by the transistor T r2 ,
It is counted by the counter section 3 and displayed on the display section 4.
On the other hand, as shown in Figure 2B, the movement during running is similar, but the walking speed is different, so in order to count the number of steps without error, the extension times shown as t 1 and t 2 in the figure must be appropriately switched. There is a need. Therefore, each extension time t 1 , t 2 may be set to less than the time T 0 , , T 0 ′ from the disappearance of unnecessary pulse P 2 to the generation of pulse P 1 of the next step, and the resistance R 1 , R2 is used to change the extension time. In reality, if the extension time when walking is t 1 = 135 [msec], it is possible to count steps of 140 [steps/minute] or less, and when running, the extension time can be changed to t 2 = 35 [msec]. Then 300
[Steps/minute] The following steps can be counted correctly.

能となる。 As described above, in the pedometer of the present invention, a signal extension circuit is provided between the step sensor that detects the vertical movement of the human body and the counter unit to extend the detection signal for a certain period of time, and the extension time is used according to the walking speed. Since the switch can be switched by the user, it is possible to prevent erroneous counting due to the excessive shaking that occurs several times with each step, and to enable accurate pedometer counting over a wide speed range from walking to running.
