When continuously manufacturing thin film strips such as synthetic resin films, paper, fabrics, aluminum foil, etc., the thin film strip is wound around a winding core, and when one winding core reaches full winding, a new winding is performed. A method is adopted in which the core is fed, the thin film strip is cut by a cutting blade, and the end of the thin film strip is wound onto a new core.

The cutting method for thin film strips that has been generally adopted in the past is as shown schematically in Figure 5A.
A cutting blade 52 is disposed near the winding core 51 which is arranged perpendicularly to the feeding direction of the thin film strip so as to be able to run parallel to the central axis of the winding core 51.
In this method, the cutting blade 51 is moved in the direction of the arrow to cut the thin film strip from one end to the other end in the width direction.

(1) When the width of the thin film strip is large, it takes time from the start of cutting to the end of cutting, so the cut end 54 has one end A in the width direction as the apex, as shown in FIG. It forms a right triangle, and this part becomes a rewinding loss.

(2) When using a thin film strip while unwinding a fully wound roll of the thin film strip as shown in Figure 5B, the cut end is closer to the winding core at one end in the width direction. The degree to which the diameter on the A side is larger than the diameter on the other end becomes noticeable, and undesirable phenomena such as one end A side of the thin film strip sagging or bending to the opposite side from the one end A occur.

(3) Furthermore, when the thin film strip is fed (or wound up) at high speed and the width of the thin film strip is large, it is difficult to bring the cut end 54 into close contact with a new winding core, resulting in wrinkles. These wrinkles are easily caused, and these wrinkles are transferred to other parts of the thin film strip, deteriorating the appearance of the product.

Under such circumstances, the present inventors have conducted extensive studies with the aim of providing a method for cutting thin film strips that eliminates the above drawbacks when producing thin film strips continuously at high speed. As a result, the present invention was completed.

In the example shown in FIG. 1, the thin film strip 1 is fed in the direction of the arrow and wound onto a winding core placed in pressure contact with the circumferential surface of the winding drum 2, and the fully wound roll 3 is as follows:
The winding drum 2 is moved from the winding position to the full roll transfer position. During the transfer of the full roll to the full roll transfer position, a new winding core 4 is supplied to the thin film strip winding position by means not shown. In addition,
The winding position of the thin film strip may be a new winding core 4 in FIG. 1, or a fully wound roll 3 in FIG.
It may be in a certain position.

In the present invention, a plurality of cutting blades are positioned immediately before and after the new winding core and are movable at right angles to the feeding direction of the thin film strip, so that the cutting edges are doglegged or zigzag. The thin film strip is cut by causing the blade immediately before and the blade immediately after the winding core to travel in mutually different directions at approximately the same speed.

The plurality of cutting blades are arranged so as to be movable in a direction perpendicular to the feeding direction of the thin film strip. Moreover,
The cutting blades arranged in this way are located immediately before and after the new winding core, and the blades immediately before and after the winding core can run in mutually different directions. Furthermore, the plurality of installed cutting blades can run at approximately the same speed. By doing so, the plurality of cutting blades do not have to worry about colliding with each other while cutting the thin film strip, and it is possible to reduce rewinding loss at the cut ends.

(1) According to the method of the present invention, the cutting blades for cutting the thin film strip are placed just before and after the new winding, so the cutting edge can be cut into the new winding without the need for special equipment. It gets caught up in the winding core naturally.

(3) In the method of the present invention, when a plurality of cutting blades are used as cutting blades for cutting the thin film strip,
As shown in FIGS. 2B, 3B, and 4B, the cut ends are approximately symmetrical with respect to the central axis of the width of the thin film strip. Therefore, when using a thin film strip while unwinding a full roll of the thin film strip, the diameter at one end in the width direction may become larger than the diameter at the other end even when approaching the winding core. Otherwise, one end of the thin film strip may sag.
Unfavorable phenomena such as bending do not occur.
