Conventionally, in order to increase the speed and productivity of spinning and twisting processes using natural fibers, man-made fibers, synthetic fibers, etc. alone or a mixture of these fibers, the centrifugal force of the yarn and the Due to the significant increase in air resistance, the twisting tension increases significantly, which accelerates the wear of the traveler and causes various problems such as yarn breakage and yarn fluff during operation. For this reason, a balloon control ring is used to actively suppress the ballooning of the thread. However, with conventional round wire balloon control rings made of high carbon steel or stainless steel, the thread is held inside the balloon control ring. Due to the strong, high-speed friction that squeezes the thread in the horizontal direction on the circumference, the surface of the thread heats up and melts, creating molten threads and fluff, and depending on the type of fiber, rust may occur on the balloon control ring. This resulted in disadvantages such as the inability to achieve satisfactory speed increases and to produce high-quality yarn.

The present invention has been made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and is particularly suitable for use in synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon, acrylic, polypropylene, and vinylon, which tend to cause fuzzing of fused threads and threads, or rust on balloon control rings. Used for spinning and twisting, and does not generate melted yarn, yarn fuzz, rust, etc. even in high-speed, high-production operations such as large package cages and long lifts, and reduces twisting tension and yarn friction resistance, making it suitable for spinning and twisting. The present invention provides a balloon control ring that can save energy in the process and increase spindle speed.

As shown in Figure 1, using graphite as the material,
A cylindrical ring body 1 is formed which has a substantially semicylindrical cross section with an inner circumferential surface that slides in contact with the thread in an arc shape that bulges inward. A SiC layer 2 having a thickness of 0.1 to 0.5 m/m is formed by CVD on at least the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical ring body 1 that comes into sliding contact with the yarn, and grooves 3 are formed on the outer circumferential surface over the entire circumference.

As shown in FIG. 2, the cylindrical ring body 1 has a SiC layer formed on its sliding surface with the thread as described above, and has an attachment part 4 to the machine base on its outer circumference, and the grooves on its inner circumference. A tightening portion 6 is provided by providing a protrusion 5 that engages with
A balloon control ring 8 is formed by fitting the ring into an annular holder 7 and fixing it by screws, bolts, or nuts at the tightening part 6.

In the above configuration, the inner circumferential surface of the balloon control ring 8 is polished to a surface roughness of 0.1 to 0.7μ by forming a SiC layer and then polishing the surface using an abrasive such as diamond paste or alumina. It is even more effective against friction.

Further, the cross-sectional shape of the cylindrical ring body 1 may be a circular shape or a semicircular shape. Furthermore, if the holder 7 is made of a lightweight material such as aluminum alloy or synthetic resin, the weight of the balloon control ring can be reduced.

Test conditions Spun yarn: Nylon 1260d/z Number of twists: 390T/M Lift: 356m/m Ring: Vertical sintered ring 165m/m Traveler: Vertical nylon traveler balloon control ring Invention product: Cross-sectional shape... semicircular surface Treatment...Silic layer formation surface roughness...0.4μ Conventional product: Material...Carbon steel cross-sectional shape...Round wire surface treatment...Chrome plating When tested under the above conditions, the present invention was found as shown in Figure 3. When using balloon control ring A, the twisting tension decreases by 6 to 12% compared to when using conventional balloon control ring B, and the rate of decrease tends to increase as the spindle rotation speed increases. In addition, the generation of molten threads has been reduced by the spindle rotation speed of 7000 r.p.
It occurred around m, but was not observed at all in the case of the present invention.

Since the balloon control ring of the present invention has the above configuration, it has high thermal conductivity even when spinning chemical fibers that tend to generate molten threads, thread fuzz, and rust, or when twisting at high speeds. Moreover, since the frictional resistance is low, there is no generation of molten threads or thread fluff, and the twisting tension is greatly reduced.

Furthermore, if the cylindrical ring body is attached to the holder using screws, etc., the cylindrical ring body can be replaced by simply loosening the tightening part of the holder, so it is possible to replace it while it is attached to the machine base, and it is easy to do. It has many excellent effects such as:
